His Hybrid Mate

Chapter 103

Chapter 103

"Answer me first. What were you about to say to Connor?" Annette said.

"I was going to tell him that you hugged Kyle behind his back," Marcus said with a shrug.

"So, you didn't hear our conversation at all. You were just going to accuse me because of the last thing you saw?"

Marcus said unhappily, "So, what were you two talking about?"

"That's none of your business. I just want to make one thing clear. I did nothing that I was not supposed to do."

"But didn't you just tell me not to hit him?"

"You've already been to the police station once. Why haven't you learned your lesson?" asked Annette.

He retorted, "You didn't let me hit him for my sake? Yeah, right."

  "Whatever you think."

"Anyway, you will still piss Connor off, because Kyle hugged you back then," Marcus said stubbornly.

"So why would you tell Connor to upset him? Am I marrying Kyle, or did I have sex with him?" Annette said, depressed. "You know very well that I came to the infirmary because of my injury. Then do you have any idea how it happened?"

Marcus frowned. "They said that Fiona pushed you to the ground."

"So, how on earth could I be with Kyle?"

Only when Marcus heard her words did he remember that he had hurried to the infirmary to see where she had been hurt.

His anger blinded him. He asked in embarrassment, "Are you alright?"

Annette showed him her left arm and said, "It's just a scrape. No big deal."

"The bandage looks pretty big to me. Are you sure it's no big deal?"

Annette put down her arm and said with a serious face, "Why are you out here? I thought you were in the game."

"No. I put the sub on. After all, I'm worried about the future Luna of our pack."

Annette pinched his arm and said, "Cut the crap. Go and finish the game."

Marcus grinned and returned to the basketball court.

After Annette got off work in the afternoon, Marcus went back together with her.

Their car had just pulled up outside Connor's courtyard when Connor's car returned.

As soon as Connor got out of the car, he walked in front of Annette and frowned as he looked at her bandaged arm. "Fiona called me. She told me that you fought with her, and she was injured and hospitalized. She didn't mention that you were injured too."

Marcus was puzzled. "You hit her back?"

Annette sighed speechlessly. She thought, 'I wanted to let it slide. I can't believe it. Fiona brought this to Connor and even complained to him before I did?'

Connor looked at Annette. "What happened?"

"Jessica came to me today and told me that the Blood Moon Pack was about to form an alliance with the Black Thorn Pack. After she left, Kyle came out and asked me why she would come to me. After all, she was Lance's daughter. And Fiona happened to see us. She and I indeed squabbled. Then she got anxious and pushed me to the ground. I never laid a finger on her. And how could she be hospitalized?"

Annette was a bit upset and thought, 'What kind of world am I living in?'

Marcus frowned. "Connor, since when was the Blood Moon Pack going to ally with the Black Thorn Pack? I have no idea."

"How should I know?" Connor said.

Annette looked at Connor and said, "Jessica told me that Randolph promised her to convince you and to make her your mate. Is it true?"

Marcus was surprised. "Connor, is that true?"

"Randolph was only trying to return a favor. He said what he had to say and I listened to him. But I won't take it seriously. I have nothing to do with the Black Thorn Pack. Simple as that," Connor said.

  Annette was finally relieved.

Marcus looked at Annette and said, "So, Jessica came to show off today?"

  Annette shrugged. "I guess so."

Connor smiled disdainfully, "I feel sorry for Lance. He raised an idiot."

After he finished speaking, he once again looked at her arm. "Where did you treat your injury?"

Marcus said, "In the school infirmary. I went there and saw her."

"Has it been taken care of?"

Marcus blinked. After all, he did not see the whole thing, so he replied, "Kind of."

In the evening, the three had dinner together.

After dinner, Marcus went back to play games.

Annette was going upstairs, but Connor didn't follow her as usual, which surprised her a bit.

Soon after, someone came into her room with some fruit. She acted natural and asked, "Has Alpha Connor had any fruits yet?"

"Ms. Hall, Alpha Connor went out."

  "He is out?"

"Yes. He left for quite a while."

Annette was puzzled. She thought, 'Why is he out at night? He didn't even tell me before he left. Come on, at least we are under the same roof, right? I deserve some respect.'

At the same time, Connor walked into a ward with a potted plant in his hand.

With a smile on his lips, he said to Fiona, who was lying on the bed, "I'm here to visit you. Feel better soon."

When Fiona saw the potted plant, her smile faded a little.

The potted plant was wolfsbane, which was poisonous to werewolves.

"Thank you, Alpha Connor," Fiona said reluctantly.

Connor pulled a chair, sat down, and crossed his legs. "I just talked to the doctor. He said that you had a heart condition."

She sighed, "It had a relapse after I had a run-in with Annette this afternoon."

"Well, heart disease can be very serious. Fiona, you should get treated as soon as possible," Connor said.

"Sure. I will..." Fiona was interrupted by Connor.

"There's no need to be too anxious. After all, heart disease can not be cured in a short time. Why don't you stay in the hospital for a bit longer? I don't think you'll be up to being the president of Werewolf University anymore. I'll find someone to replace you," Connor said calmly.

  Fiona's expression changed.

"I have already talked to the Council about this, and now all I need is your resignation letter," Connor said.

"I won't resign. Why should I?" Fiona lost her cool and shouted. "I'm fine. I can be discharged tomorrow."
