His Hybrid Mate

Chapter 102

Chapter 102

Annette did not want to have a conflict with Fiona, so she turned around and was about to leave.

However, she heard Fiona's voice coming from behind her. Fiona said, "Annette, you've been seducing Alpha Connor and refusing to let go of Kyle. Are you a two-timer or what?"

Kyle said unhappily, "Mom, what are you talking about? I'm the one who is trying to get back to Annette. She doesn't even want to talk to me."

"Shut up," Fiona cut it. Then she said, "What's so good about Annette? Is she worth all this? Hasn't she fooled you enough?"

"Stop it, Mom. Why don't you just go back to your office?" Kyle had a headache.

Fiona looked at Annette with her eyes burning with anger. Fiona thought, 'I was threatened by Alpha Connor last time because of this woman.

And now, Alpha Connor helps her, and even my son takes her side.

  Well played. Annette.'

"Annette, apologize to me right now!" Fiona said angrily.

Annette looked at her calmly and said, "Fiona, I think you're mistaken. It's you who should apologize. Why should I stand here and listen to your sarcasm for no reason?"

"Annette," Kyle scolded in a low voice.

Annette looked at Kyle coldly. "What? Have I said something wrong? What makes her think that I should apologize? I haven't made any mistakes at work. And I wasn't the one who cheated."

She was getting emotional as she spoke.

After she finished speaking, she walked past Fiona and was about to return to the field.

Fiona was furious. She cursed loudly, "You slut! No wonder you are such a rude girl because you never had a parent who would discipline you. Very well then, let me do your parents a favor and teach you some manners today."

After she finished speaking, she tugged at Annette's ponytail.

Annette was in pain, and her whole body leaned back.

Fiona pushed Annette to the ground.

Annette landed on her arm, and the skin on her forearm was scraped badly.

Seeing that Annette was injured, Kyle rushed to her, grabbed her arm, and said, "Ann, are you alright?"

Annette shook off Kyle's hand and said coldly, "I'm so glad that I broke up with you. Otherwise, I don't think I can survive the both of you."

She slowly stood up and looked at Fiona. "You are going too far, Fiona. I despise you, and I feel sorry for Kyle. Having a mother like you, he is destined to live a pathetic life."

  Annette turned around and left.

Kyle looked at Fiona and shouted, "Happy now?"

"She deserves it. After all, she has the nerve to pester you. I told you already that it annoyed me to see you standing next to that woman. Keep your distance from her, if you don't want to bring her into trouble anymore." Fiona's face was grim.

Kyle snorted, "Well, I'm afraid that won't happen."

He turned and ran after Annette.

Annette's arm was injured, which made him very worried.

Annette had been regretting it. She thought, 'Why didn't I fight back? Maybe I was used to putting up with her for Kyle's sake.'

She muttered, "This is a bad habit. And I must change."

She went to the infirmary, and the school doctor treated her wound.

  Meanwhile, Kyle ran in.

Annette glanced at him coldly and said, "Kyle, please leave."

Kyle did not say anything and stayed.

He sat down on a chair and waited quietly.

The school doctor treated Annette's wound and said, "Make sure that your wound stays out of the water, or it won't be good for recovery."

The school doctor glanced at Kyle and knew that Kyle had something to say, so he turned around and left.

"Ann, I'm sorry." Kyle's face was full of regret. "I know my mother can be very unreasonable. You had nothing to do with it, but she still blamed it on you."

"I don't give a damn about her at all. I just want to remind you to stay away from me, Kyle. Seriously. Get as far away from me as you can and stop disturbing my life." She got up and started to walk out.

Kyle became very emotional. He strode forward and pulled Annette into his arms.

"Ann, would you stop being so cold to me? I can barely sleep at night. I've been haunted by confusion, pain, and regret. I don't want any of this, I swear. I want to let go as well, and I have been trying to talk myself out of it every night, but I can't. I just can't!"

She pushed him, but it only made him hold her tighter.

She was annoyed and said anxiously, "But I don't love you. I don't love you anymore. Get it? Everything you're doing to me right now is causing me pain, and all this pain will only make me hate you more and push me further from you. We can't go back. We can never go back."

Outside the infirmary, Marcus, who was in a red basketball uniform, suddenly rushed in.

He was shocked at the scene. After a moment of surprise, Marcus strode forward in anger, wrenching Kyle away from Annette and pushing him against the wall.

Kyle leaned against the wall weakly and then slumped to the ground.

  He seemed very dispirited.

  Annette frowned.

Marcus stepped forward to grab Kyle's collar. "Didn't I warn you before? How dare you lay your hands on the future Luna of our pack? Are you tired of your life?"

As he spoke, he punched Kyle's face.

Annette could tell that Marcus exerted a lot of strength.

  Kyle did not fight back.

Maybe Marcus was too pissed off. In the next second, he punched Kyle again.

He punched Kyle on the right cheek.

Annette didn't want Marcus to get into trouble, so she stepped forward and pulled him away.

"Enough, Marcus. Stop it. You'll get him killed."

Marcus looked at Annette unhappily. "Luna Annette, you let me down."

After he finished speaking, he snorted coldly, pushed Kyle away, and walked out.

Annette thought, 'Marcus is furious now.

If he calls Connor now, chances are, he will say something radical. Somehow, I just don't want Connor to get the wrong idea.'

Therefore, she glanced at the dispirited Kyle on the ground and quickly followed Marcus out.

She kept running and managed to catch up with Marcus.

As she expected, he had already taken out his phone and was about to make a call.

She stepped forward and said with a serious face, "Hang up the phone."

Marcus was going to say "Why should I" at first, yet he didn't. When he saw the serious expression on her face, he pondered for a few seconds and then put his phone away.

"What else do you have to say?"
