Getting away with the Alpha's Pup

Chapter 78

Chapter 78

Chelsea

The next morning.

I opened my eyes when I felt Dylan sit up, and found him checking himself and then looking around.

I'd scattered empty wine bottles and wineglasses on the floor last night, so that I didn't have to explain anything if he asked. I must be a genius!

“Morning, hunny.” I rolled towards Dylan's side and wrapped my arm around his waist.

“Morning Chels. What did we do last night? Why am I having a sharp headache?” He asked, gripping his head.

I pulled him back to bed and nuzzled on his chest.

“What do you think could possibly happen between us, Dylan?” I asked rhetorically while my finger played with his chiseled chest.

“W-We made love?” He asked with uncertainty.

“Why do you sound surprised at that?” I asked, faking hurt in my voice.

“N-No... I-I'm just confused. I remember nothing about last night,” he said, looking down at me and playing with the strands of my hair with tender.

I got up from bed, naked. With my curves all at the right places, I was confident to flaunt my body. Walking to the empty bottles on the floor, I then turned back to Dylan.

“Well, you chugged bottles of wine. I just can't stop you. Maybe you were just way too stresse. And then you started touching me and…" I paused talking after noticing him panic.

My heart skipped a beat.

“Oh shit! Did Dylan recall anything?” I almost flinched when Dylan reached out to me.

“Did I force you to have sex with me? I'm really sorry about it if that was the case.”

A weight was taken off my chest after I heard his question.

“If I'm on my sane mind, I would never force myself to you,” he added. Dylan stopped panicking, and our gazes locked in.

“Dylan, you didn't force yourself on me. Nothing like that happened,” I assured him. “It's a consensual sex, and I enjoyed it.”

***********

After placing a bacon next to his pancake straight from the pan, I handed Dylan maple syrup.

“I'm going to see Bert. I'll ask him about Cherry's father. Do you have any idea what he is like?” He asked.

“No, hunny. I don't think I've met Mike before. You know I hadn't been in this pack for long after Cherry found out me.” I shook my head at him.

“If Mike is proved to know nothing about his daughter's schemes, I think I'm not going to banish him from Starsmoon,” he said.

If that was the case, then dad and I would have to pull some strings to make it look like Mike was hiding a skeleton in his closet, the same way as how we had pinned Cherry as a prime suspect of Dylan's accident.

I placed my knife and fork on top of my plate when I suddenly thought of something.

“Is there something that my future Luna wants from me?” Dylan asked when he noticed me stop eating.

“Can I go with you to Bert?” I asked.

“Sure! Not a problem,” he agreed.

After finishing breakfast, we headed towards Bert's house. I stood behind Dylan when he knocked on the door.

My jaw dropped when a little girl opened the door and jumped straight into Dylan's arms.

“Daddy! It's Daddy!! You're finally back! Does Mommy know that you are back from your business trip?” The young girl asked in excitement.

Dylan looked back at me, as if asking who this little pest was. But I was just as shocked as him.

“I-I'm afraid you got the wrong person, sweetie,” I crouched down to the little girl,, trying to hide panic in my eyes.

“No, I didn't. This is my daddy and I'm his daughter!” The girl was pretty confident.

Upon a closer examination, I found that she did have Dylan's eyes and lips, but most of her features, particulalry her blonde hair, resembled Cherry.

“Is Cherry your mother?” I asked in between gritted teeth, but managed to put on a sweet smile.

“Yes. Cherry is my mommy. But you're not supposed to call my mother just by her name! She is the Luna of Starsmoon pack—”

“Fern!” Bert called out in panic. He pulled the little girl behind his back, as if protecting her from Dylan and me, me especially after he saw me glaring at the girl.
