Getting away with the Alpha's Pup

Chapter 77

Chapter 77

Chelsea

Dylan was now sitting in the shotgun seat, his eyes closed.

“Hunny, are you sleeping? We're almost back at home.” Not sure if he was asleep, I asked.

“Dylan?” I called him again, but got no response still. I lightly tapped his arm, still nothing. He was in a deep sleep.

“That's really a close one. You would have recalled everything if I didn't drop wolfsbane behind your ear in time.” A smirk drew in my lips.

I gave Dylan another glare, and then gripped the steering wheel tightly. The anger was still boiling in my system after he suddenly stopped being all touchy and intimate to me earlier.

The officer told me that Dylan came to rescue Cherry from all the inmates that I paid to beat her up.

“Dylan, you might have forgotten about Cherry, but your wolf remembers her as your mate.” I stepped on the gas to accelerate the speed.

“I'm afraid your wolf would take over again if Cherry suffers from physical pain once more.” I took a deep breath before slowing down.

“I need to try something different to punish that bitch.”

After pulling up in front of the pack house, I unbuckled my seatbelt and leaned closer to Dylan, intending to press a kiss on his lips.

Just when my lips were about to touch his, Dylan opened his eyes and pushed me back into my seat. My head got hit against the back rest from his sudden push.

"Dylan, what the hell are you doing?!!" I was unprepared at all for this to come.

“Chelsea? I'm so sorry, hun! I didn't know it was you. I just woke up from a nightmare.” He explained in hurry.

I reached out to stop him from apologizing and put on a smile. "It's okay, hun."

“Are you still mad at me for suddenly leaving the house?” He looked in my eyes earnestly.

“Not at all hunny. But you don't remember anything about what happened at the police station?” I had been suspecting that Dylan lost his memory when he first woke up in my cabin, but was not 100% sure.

He could get the wolfsabne I used on Cherry during that war, and his memory loss could be temporary. I had to keep an eye on that, and gave him a few doses now and then.

“Not a bit." Dylan shook his head in confusion. "And what do you mean by my wolf taking me there?”

“Cherry was detained there as the mastermind behind your accident.” I lied to Dylan. “I guess your wolf wanted to get even with her."

Dylan looked at his hands as if he suddenly recalled something, and then he looked back at me. “Oh, so it's my wolf getting enraged by her evildoing?”

“Yes. And she deserved it,” I confirmed Dylan's guess before he could feel a pang of guilt for her.

***********

Later on that night.

I peeked through the small opening at the door of Dylan's office before getting upstairs, and then locked our bedroom.

Hiding in the bathroom, I needed to make sure that Dylan wouldn't hear me talking to my foster father Hugo, Alpha of White Moon.

“Chelsea, I have great news. Otto will be back in town tomorrow. He'll electrocute Cherry in prison—”

“No! Stop him, dad!”

“What do you mean? You changed your mind? You don't hate Cherry any more?”

“No, I still hate her. It's Dylan's fucking wolf. It keeps arousing Dylan's feeling for Cherry when she gets physically inflicted. I think we need to come up with something new.” I said while rummaging through my mind for an idea.

“Get him a baby. That'll secure your position as Luna of Starsmoon, even if his memory recovers someday in future. Cherry will have no chance by then”

“I know that, and I'm trying to do that. But Dylan, no, his wolf does not accept me!”

“If he won't fuck you, then go find someone who will, anyone who'll put a baby on you. Just convince Dylan the baby is his.”

“You mean I make it look like we fucked?”

“Yes. It seems you got no other options,” Hugo said before ending the call.

I tossed my phone on top of the beside table. From the drawer I took sleeping pills, three tablets.

Then I came to Dylan's office with a cup of milk.

“Here, have some milk. You're pushing yourself too hard. Remember you've just recovered from an accident.” I handed the cup to him.

His forehead knotted, confusion was sipping at him for a moment, and then he smiled.

“Why? What's with that smile?” I smiled back, but nervous inside.

“Nothing. It's just sweet that you always got me this milk whenever I work late.” Dylan shook his head as he took the cup from my hand.

That wasn't me. That must be Cherry! His memory with Cherry!

Halfway through the milk, Dylan finally fell asleep, in a deep one. I managed to drag him to bedroom and stripped his clothes off.

When he woke up next morning, it would look like we had fucked.
