Chapter 403: The Air Outside the World is Sweeter!
Chapter 403: The Air Outside the World is Sweeter!
"Spread the word about our world? Give them a shock?" Hearing this, Lova was stunned.
Wait, he remembered that when he first arrived in this world, Haimudaer had been completely dismissive of their world!
And after Lova understood the essence of this world, he felt the same way. After all, considering this world's resources and population, as well as what he knew about the resources and population controlled by the Aesir Gods, it was perfectly normal for them to lack interest in the Dylan Continent.
Why would city folk be interested in country bumpkins?
Thinking of this, Lova looked Haimudaer up and down, finally noticing a clue. "You didn't come in your True Body either, but as an avatar... Could it be that you lost a bet?"
Lova was quite confident in this deduction.
When it came to combat, the Aesir Gods were truly formidable. He knew of several wars that had already taken place, and these people always marched into battle with fierce, towering morale.
But apart from war, they loved one other thing—drinking, or rather, banquets.
Among them, the Chief God Thor was the fondest of this activity. Haimudaer naturally loved it too, and had even explicitly mentioned it to Lova.
As a new deity in this Divine Pantheon, Lova naturally heard about these things, which led him to guess what these gods did after drinking.Indeed, through the stories of Norse Mythology and his understanding of the Vikings, it was not hard to see that the ancestors of these Vikings were essentially no different from their pirate descendants. They loved lively scenes, massive amounts of alcohol, and passionate wars!
And for the Vikings, the one indispensable thing after drinking was, of course, betting!
Drunken wagers were one of their favorite pastimes. Haimudaer had previously lost his Horns, his necklace, and even his steed, Gulltoppr.
Now, hearing such a bizarre request, this was the very first thing that came to Lova's mind!
Outside of battle, the Aesir Gods never cared about Combat Power or divine rankings. Under certain circumstances or conditions, they even considered drinking capacity more important than Combat Power.
Therefore, this cultivated their casual, status-ignoring nature. For example, between Haimudaer and Lova, there was a vast gap between Powerful Divine Power and Weak Divine Power, yet they still chatted like friends.
Hearing Lova's guess, Haimudaer made no attempt to hide the truth. He let out a sigh. "Yes, I lost a bet, so I need to do a favor for a certain god!"
"What do you mean 'a certain god'? Is my name not worthy of being spoken by you?" A handsome yet wicked god suddenly appeared before their eyes. Despite clearly possessing frost attributes, he was wreathed in flames. "Admit defeat, Haimudaer!"
Haimudaer grew anxious. "Aren't I figuring out a way for you right now? In the entire pantheon, is there anyone more suitable than Lova?"
Lova quickly spoke up, "Greetings, Crown Fire God Loki!"
The newcomer was naturally the Fire God, the Evil God Loki. This entity was not the easygoing type; in their previous encounters, he had never given Lova a pleasant look.
"Lova, is it? You really are a fantastic candidate!" Loki looked at Lova and gave a slight nod. "So, do you want to go?"
Lova was a bit curious. "I am currently advancing. Can I still return?"
He was not too worried about his own safety because he had already left his mark on the World Tree and registered his name in Valhalla. According to the gods, even if he died, he would completely revive within the World Tree one day. This was the true foundation of the Aesir Gods.
Lova had heard of similar things in the Dylan Continent. Those with Powerful Divine Power, even if they perished in a Divine War, would resurrect through their descendants or directly from the river of time. That was the true method of deities!
"Just send an avatar. After all, you are the anchor between this world and yours. If your True Body went over and caused the anchor to disappear, wouldn't Haimudaer kill me?" Loki said casually, making Lova realize he seemed quite important. Haimudaer added in a mild tone, "I wouldn't kill you. I would just tell Odin that you took his wine barrel!"
Loki shivered. "Dragging the God King into this ruins the fun. This is our bet; are you not going to honor it?"
"I will honor it. Spreading the word about our Divine Pantheon in the Dylan Continent... only you, Loki, could come up with such an absurd idea!" Haimudaer complained. "I need to prepare a gift, otherwise, it would be too easy to get driven out as an invader!"
"I have already prepared the gift for you!" The Evil God smiled and raised his hand. In the space above them, a massive Meteorite flashed by.
Of course, the Meteorite was not physically right in front of them; it merely resided in some illusory, vast expanse.
"It is an iron Meteorite I found in the galaxy. I wonder if it will be enough?"
Seeing this Meteorite, Lova was completely dumbfounded. "So much? Unbelievable..."
If he were in the Dylan Continent with this much material essence, he would dare to directly buy a small world from those legendary Mages just to play with!
He felt that the mass of the Meteorite just now was not even smaller than some countries on the Dylan Continent. It might even be comparable to certain abyssal worlds or layers of Hell. The elemental concentration of that matter was enough to make even some Powerful Divine Power deities feel greedy!
And this was merely a meeting gift from the Aesir Gods!
But since this was a conversation between two entities of Powerful Divine Power, he did not dare to interrupt too much. He could only ask curiously, "Then how should I get there? And once I arrive, what should I say?"
After all, his True Body was still advancing. He could not interrupt his own advancement just for a bet. He knew this, and naturally, the two Powerful Divine Power deities knew it as well.
Therefore, he could only travel as an avatar, which usually came with many problems!
Hearing these words, the two Powerful Divine Power deities laughed.
"You don't need to say anything special. Just truthfully explain everything that happened here to them! Those Divine Pantheons of yours are far too unofficial; they wouldn't understand anything more complex anyway!" Haimudaer said.
"Go and spread the story of the Aesir Gods. Once that is done, your mission is complete. As for the rest, leave it to us!" Loki declared. "Let them see how much you have grown after leaving your own world!"
Hearing this, Lova reached an epiphany.
That was right. How could those people possibly know about his encounters and experiences here?
They could never imagine the kind of future he possessed in this world! Nor would they know what a formal, legitimate Divine Pantheon he had joined!
Compared to the Aesir Gods, the inhabitants of the Dylan Continent were just a bunch of country bumpkins. They had no idea what city folk did every day!
And he was no longer that insignificant Demigod from the Dylan Continent who lived in constant fear for his life. He was now a Weak Divine Power deity belonging to the Aesir Gods (albeit a version that had not yet completed advancement), and he was an Envoy of the pantheon!
Now he was only traveling as an avatar, completely free from safety concerns. Was this not the very definition of returning home in glory?
Even deities had desires, and with desires naturally came the expectation of returning home in triumph, taking the opportunity to show off his current "happy life" to his former Colleagues.
Thus, Lova nodded happily and, under Loki's guidance, arrived before that unique Space-Time Rift.
However, before leaving, Lova could not help but voice his doubts. "Crown Fire God, is this really just a bet?"
"It can be a bet, or it can be something much more important!" Loki said with a beaming smile. The Evil God made no attempt to conceal his purpose. "But in the end, it just means I have a bit of interest in this world! A world like this has not yet reached the level where the Aesir Gods would specifically lay out plans for it!"
Upon hearing this, Lova actually agreed deeply!
"You are right. The Dylan Continent still has no way to compare with the Aesir Gods!" This was Lova's true thought. He genuinely felt that this Divine Pantheon was countless times better than the world he came from!
In the past, where would he have acquired such power and status? Where would he have gained such special abilities? How could he have possibly achieved his current position?
Yet in this world, it only took a single sentence for him to gain hundreds of thousands of followers, secure his future, and even find his own powerful backing!
Everything he could not obtain in the Dylan Continent, he acquired here. How could he not feel a sense of belonging to this world and his Divine Pantheon?
He simply believed that this world was wonderful and his own world was terrible, and his conviction was unshakable!
In other words, in his eyes, even the air of this world seemed a bit sweeter!
