From God of Lies to Lord of All Worlds

Chapter 400: Self-Persuasion

Chapter 400: Self-Persuasion

What exactly could the Wish Power of a deity accomplish?

In the beginning, Luowa's Wish Power had been enough for Bai Yang to establish Yggdrasil. He had even managed to open up a special dimension somewhere on Earth, providing the Norse Pantheon with a true foundation.

Now, of course, the Norse Pantheon had achieved substantial growth. Throughout the entire Nordic region, and even extending across the Germanic territories, Germany, and the ancient homelands of the Vikings, the missionaries of Āsathrú had begun to emerge.

Under this combination of matching deities and corresponding Transcendent Power, the Norse Divine Kingdom, which had originally been nothing more than a tiny initial anchor point, was growing bit by bit. That extraordinary World Tree was also steadily thriving under the nourishment of Wish Power.

The very origin of this growth was that extraordinary Wish Power.

Of course, the primary reason this extraordinary Wish Power could manifest such capabilities was that the deity-level Wish Power had received a massive enhancement through the blessing of the World Will.

It possessed an efficacy that not even the Wish Power of a Powerful Divine Power could match.

If a single strand of Wish Power was not enough, would more not suffice? Bai Yang had already set his sights on this Powerful Divine Power. "I imagine they will be returning soon enough!"

"We cannot make a direct appearance, but we can still use other methods to let them see the changes in the world. We can show them these Divine Pantheons that span All Worlds, let them witness their arrangements here, and allow them to catch a glimpse of the even deeper war between the gods!"

Bai Yang declared, gazing out at the seemingly tranquil ocean. He looked down at the special Altar resting on the seabed and chuckled softly. "In that case, let us use this original stage to put on an even more profound performance. Let us give them a taste of the awe that belongs to an advanced Divine Pantheon!"Alvin bowed his head. "Of course. This is your creation, Crown!"

......

Meanwhile, far away in the uncharted dimensions of the Dylan Continent, the God of Justice, Griffith, was listening to the explanation of his old friend, the God of Bards, Garfield.

"A Pope who can wield Creator Authority? You must be joking!" Griffith exclaimed. "Creator Authority? Never mind me, even those with Powerful Divine Power like the Lord of Radiance, the God of War, or the Ancient Elemental Gods—who have reached the absolute limit of level twenty Godhood—have only ever brushed against it, let alone wielded it!"

"If he truly possesses such power, then could his Chief God be a God Above God, or perhaps a Great Divine Power?"

In the Dylan Continent, there had always been legends stating that Powerful Divine Power was not the ultimate form of a deity. Above it, there was a terrifying existence known as a God Above God, serving as the world's Creator God and standing far above all others.

Besides a true Creator God like a God Above God, a certain being with Powerful Divine Power, who had been completely obliterated in the river of time, had once left behind a peculiar final message: "I have seen it... I have seen it! Above the Powerful, there is the Great!"

After uttering those words, he was annihilated along with his Godhood. However, this legend continued to circulate within the information streams of the highest-ranking gods in the Dylan Continent. Since both of them possessed Powerful Divine Power, they were naturally aware of it.

Hearing Griffith's words, Garfield grew anxious and quickly replied, "I didn't believe it either, but I have solid proof!"

As he spoke, he projected the images of Mario demonstrating that power, along with the battle against the False God, Kuchamama.

When Griffith saw that power to create something from nothing, he was utterly stunned. "How is this possible? Creation from nothing... Is this truly the authority of a Creator God? The Lord he speaks of... is a Creator God?"

"I do not know..." Garfield shook his head. "This is a scene from another world, and I only have fragments of information. However, I can assure you that what is shown here is absolutely genuine!"

He then began to share what he knew about that world with his old friend. "I followed the God of Thieves to that special Rift, but when his Divine Flame and Divine Nature were completely extinguished, I chose not to rashly cross over myself!"

"That Rift is one we are familiar with, a passage leading outside our world. But as you know, there have been other Rifts in the Dylan Continent before. Even deities with Powerful Divine Power have crossed through them, only to never be heard from again!"

"Therefore, I sent my subordinate god, Hal, to that world. Ultimately, he managed to retrieve information from the other side..."

"There are Gods in that world too, but they are not like us. They are not deities Uplifting a Divine Kingdom and reigning above the world. Instead, they are simply deities that have existed in myths. They have not even established their own realms in that world; they merely focus on Spreading Faith!"

Hearing this, Griffith felt a wave of astonishment. "Such extravagance? A world teeming with The Faithful, and they do not even bother to establish a kingdom to harvest their Divine Faith?" "I thought the exact same thing at first, until I learned of these deities' origins!" Garfield said. "According to the information Hal gathered, none of these Gods are native to that world. Instead, they hail from something called the Sea of Worlds!"

"They have their own worlds out there in the Sea of Worlds. This world that is connected to ours is merely a place for Spreading Faith!"

"To these Gods, a world holding an endless number of The Faithful is solely used for Proselytizing..."

Upon hearing this, even the God of Justice appeared incomparably shocked. "What do you mean, solely used for Proselytizing? Are they completely uninterested in anything else that world has to offer? Is the world too small? Is Matter scarce? Is the Population too sparse?"

Garfield shook his head. "None of those. It is a world on par with the Dylan Continent. It has an even larger Population, possesses abundant resources, and lacks native Gods! I feel that... they might simply look down on it..."

For this bardic God, this was the only explanation that made any sense. "Every single one of their Divine Pantheons is capable of traversing the Sea of Worlds, which is why they possess such capabilities. Perhaps, just like our Plane, they are a group of Gods capable of controlling numerous worlds..."

Griffith caught onto the crucial detail. "What do you mean by 'every single Divine Pantheon'? Are there differences between them?"

"Of course. They do not all originate from the same world; they come from different ones. Every Divine Pantheon represents an entirely distinct and complete Divine Realm system..." Garfield sighed in lamentation. "It even makes me wonder if behind every one of them stands a Creator God, a Great Divine Power, or a God Above God—perhaps even more than one? Otherwise, how could they roam so freely through the ocean of worlds?"

As Gods trapped within their own world, they felt nothing but intense envy and jealousy toward these Colleagues who could travel so casually.

Moreover, since they wielded Powerful Divine Power, they considered the deeper implications.

Griffith then asked, "So... do these entities know about our world?"

At that thought, the two exchanged a glance, their eyes filled with shock and Fear. As beings with Powerful Divine Power, it had been many years since they last experienced such a sense of dread.

Those were entities with Great Divine Power! Beings on the exact same level as a God Above God. Although they had never seen a God Above God in person, they were well-versed in the legends concerning that supreme entity.

In the far more ancient eras of the Dylan Continent, that legendary God Above God would occasionally step out to roam, and some foolish Gods had actually broken into his home to steal from him.

Later, the theft was successful, but the God Above God found out. The Creator God flew into a rage and cast the pantheons down into the Dylan Continent, causing their Divine Kingdoms to crash. He sealed away all their abilities, reducing them to mere legendary powerhouses—Gods entirely stripped of their Divine Nature!

Even looking back now, it had been a terrifying divine catastrophe. Out of over a thousand deities, five hundred were replaced. New beings with Powerful Divine Power were born, and the ancient Gods were relentlessly hunted down by Transcendent experts, all for the sake of the Godhood residing within their bodies.

This catastrophe, known as the "Calamity of Divine Fall," made every single deity acutely aware of just how terrifying a God Above God could be!

But now, learning that behind the Divine Pantheons of this other world stood entities akin to a God Above God... just how horrifying of a realization was that?

Garfield shook his head. "Let's not scare ourselves. A God Above God is a Creator. How could they possibly be everywhere?"

"But you do make a fair point. When Hal goes back, I will tell him to be even more careful. He will leave no trace and avoid interfering with any faction. We will merely observe. That should be fine, right?"

Though he claimed they shouldn't scare themselves, his actions honestly reflected his inner fear as he opted for the absolute safest approach.

"If it is true, what should we do?" the God of Justice, Griffith, asked. "Should we stay far away and cut off all contact?"

The God of Bards, however, was a romantic at heart. He whispered softly, "Why should we stay away? We make contact! We negotiate! What if we can find a way for our world to reach the Sea of Worlds as well?"

"We have been trapped in this world for far too long. Why would we ever pass up an opportunity like this?"

Before Bai Yang even had the chance to put on his performance, the two beings of Powerful Divine Power had already convinced themselves.

'Ah, two more streams of Wish Power? Such good things actually happen?'
