From God of Lies to Lord of All Worlds

Chapter 382: I Have Never Heard of This God!

Chapter 382: I Have Never Heard of This God!

"Your Excellency, Great Leader, the new pirate notes have been translated!" Inside the White House, looking at the almost completely mutated scene unfolding before his eyes, Golden Hair felt a chill run down his spine. Right at that moment, someone walked over and handed him the documents.

Golden Hair took the documents and immediately caught sight of the words written on them: "Blackbeard has truly gone mad. He actually wants to gather the Holy Relics. He has no idea what is buried in that sea... The ship's Pastor told me to stay away from him!"

"Blackbeard is dead. It is for the best. With his death, no lunatic will try to open up that graveyard..."

"No, a crack was still opened in that graveyard—My God! This single crack wiped out the entire Invincible Armada! Damn it, they are here..."

Reading through the files, Golden Hair suddenly felt a wave of relief. "Qian Si, it is a good thing our people did not go..."

Qian Si cursed inwardly. 'You were just screaming about how our people did not go and how it would definitely cause massive problems, yet now you change your tune?'

However, he was a seasoned politician after all. He immediately smiled and said, "Indeed, Great Leader. It was your incredible foresight that vetoed the plan to send another team! Otherwise, our fine young men would have ended up like this!"

Those few words made Golden Hair appear even more wise and brilliant, prompting him to nod in deep approval.

'As expected of the Deputy Leader I personally selected. He certainly knows how to speak,' Golden Hair thought.

Just as the two most powerful men in the White House were busy exchanging flattery, a new development occurred on the screen before them!Nick stared fixedly at the horde of Monsters before him, not a trace of Fear in his eyes. Compared to the horrors he had endured, what did these mere Faceless Men amount to?

He demanded, "So, this was all your plan? You lured us here and orchestrated this whole thing?"

He received no response. It seemed the other party disdained even answering his question.

This infuriated Nick. Although he possessed formidable strength and a mysterious background, he was ultimately still an eighteen-year-old boy. With a prefrontal cortex that had not yet fully developed, he was easily consumed by rage.

Thus, he waved his hands, commanding the giant octopus beneath him to lunge toward the temporary island.

To him, any lost face had to be won back by force, or it would invite others' contempt. For someone who had lived in a hellscape like Haiti for over a decade, this was pure instinct.

This scene caused the surrounding Transcendents to cast sidelong glances. They were quite eager to see how that unknown mastermind would handle such a devastating attack!

Then, the giant octopus simply died.

The very moment it lunged at those "people" before them, its eight tentacles were severed. Then, an invisible force sliced it cleanly in half right out of the air!

Nick tumbled helplessly from the sky. That immense power vanished from his body, turning him back into that insignificant nobody who could only struggle to survive by the docks.

Right in front of him, Austin reappeared. Riding the seawater, he slowly touched down and stopped before Nick. "I warned you all, but you refused to listen. Therefore—I can only invite you to join me in welcoming the return of the Inca Deities!"

He turned his head, gazed into the empty void behind him, and declared loudly, "We welcome the descent of His Crown, the Sea God Kuchamama!"

At some point, that crystal skull had materialized in his hands again, and it launched itself toward the people on the ground.

The crystal skull made contact with the Faceless Men. Its jaws unhinged, swallowing the members of The Greedy who hungered for the Transcendent, one after another!

Everyone's gaze locked onto the scene. They watched as that crystal-like monkey skull let out a bizarre, piercing shriek and transformed into a humanoid creature seemingly made entirely of solid crystal!

It was incredibly distinct, exactly like a man carved from crystal. It stood slowly in place, turning its head to stare at the people before it, inch by agonizing inch.

It did not utter a single word. Simply by standing there, it already radiated an overwhelming aura of Fear.

Yet, amidst this Fear, Austin's voice rang out with boundless excitement and reverence, "Your Crown, what should we do next?"

"Next, naturally, is the Reckoning for these people!" the crystal Monster said slowly.

It reached out and grabbed the utterly stunned Nick, speaking directly to him. "Thank you for your assistance... If it were not for you, I would not have been able to escape so easily!"

Then, the Monster snatched the Compass from the eighteen-year-old boy's hand and swallowed it in a single bite.

"Austin, my faithful believer, go and tell them of our glory and our plans! Tell them what the gods require!"

The crystal Monster commanded. It then sat down perfectly straight, appearing to digest what it had just consumed. Austin descended slowly, landing before the crowd with a light chuckle. "I gave you all a chance, but you chose to throw it away yourselves!"

At this moment, the realization finally dawned on everyone. Austin's earlier behavior had been nothing but an act!

He had been trying to stop them all from coming here, but had that not also been a way of pointing them toward the exact location of the Windless Graveyard?

It was precisely his desperate attempts to stop them that made everyone believe so firmly in the destination!

And it was that very conviction that cost them all their crew members and unleashed such a bizarre Monster!

Realizing this, Elton could no longer hold back. He glared at Austin and demanded, "Austin, you are also from America! Why would you help a foreign god frame your own compatriots?"

A large portion of the people who had just been devoured belonged to his fleet. Naturally, this filled him with immense indignation.

Hearing this, Austin snapped his head around and fixed his gaze on Elton. "I would love nothing more than to love America! But if I love this country, does this country love me back?"

"I have to pay off my college loans until I am fifty-five years old! After deducting rent and utilities from my salary, I cannot even afford to feed myself properly!"

"My family is still subjected to discrimination! I work so incredibly hard, yet I still cannot lift them out of the Slums! Tell me, when has your country ever treated me as a compatriot?"

Elton had no answer to that. His family was the most powerful in California; he had never experienced any of those struggles.

"But America gave you sanctuary! It ensured you would not become refugees like the people in South America!" he finally managed to retort.

Austin actually laughed out loud at that. "Then, Mr. Brahmin of America, take a wild guess. Why exactly do you think they became refugees in a region with dense rainforests, thriving vegetation, and a powerful agricultural industry?"

"It is all the sins committed by your America!"

Austin's voice suddenly spiked in volume. "This continent belongs to us, the Original Inhabitants! It is not yours! Now that the gods have returned, they will drive you all out and return this land to the era of the Mayan Gods!"

He looked just like a devout preacher, spreading his Doctrine without the slightest restraint.

He finally experienced the exhilarating thrill of having a powerful backer. Even if his own Transcendent Power was not strong enough—certainly not enough to fight all the Transcendents present—with the blessing of his "god," he felt utterly unstoppable!

Because they were hesitant to act for fear of collateral damage, these people did not even dare to lay a finger on him. They were terrified of ending up like Nick, serving as the next appetizer for the "god" looming before them.

However, there were those who were unafraid. For instance, the Bishop in the French fleet who had been resting his eyes.

Having grasped the entire situation, he opened the book in his hands. After a lengthy search through its pages, he looked up at Austin. "Mr. Austin, may I know the name of the deity you worship? If The Church has to deal with them in the future, we will need to know this name!"

Austin naturally did not mind. He loudly proclaimed the name of the deity behind him. "He is the Sea God from the Mythology of our ancient Inca Empire! The deity who commands the oceans! His name is Kuchamama!"

"He is the first deity to appear, but he will not be the last! Our gods will descend upon this world once more—and you will all become the Price for the gods' Divine Descent!"

Hearing this, the Bishop nodded slightly and answered the phone in his hand. "High Priest Carl, did you hear that? This man is a priest of the gods, just like you!"

The phone was on speaker, allowing Austin to clearly hear the voice coming from it. "Mr. Austin, did you know? In Inca Mythology, there has never been a Sea God named Kuchamama..."

Upon hearing those words, Austin froze in shock.

'A High Priest from a Mayan tribe says he has never heard of Kuchamama? How can that be...'
