From God of Lies to Lord of All Worlds

Chapter 115: United Front

Chapter 115: United Front

"I protest! I will not allow this! You are defying the will of the Lord, judging the actions of others with your own words!"

If Yujin could speak, that was exactly what he would have said. Unfortunately for him, he had been silenced.

Driven solely by Angus's commanding words, he broke free from his bound state and walked woodenly toward the wall.

Before he even reached it, He Sai waved his hand, parting the bricks that sealed the structure to open a path. Yujin stepped through, forced to confront the blinding sunlight outside!

As a coastal city, Miami's sunshine was usually wonderfully pleasant. However, as those rays beat down upon Yujin now, they felt agonizingly harsh and piercing.

A torment akin to being whipped by thorns ignited across his skin. The searing agony of hellfire burned within his heart, making every single step drain the last reserves of his strength.

The scorching light was unbearable, and the sheer panic in his soul was pure torture, but what terrified him most was Angus's actions!

This Cardinal actually possessed Transcendent Power! He could literally control Yujin's body, forcing him to walk the path of penance!

Prostrating himself in atonement before every single person he met—wouldn't that be a fate worse than death?

Yujin's immediate thought was to rush back to his own house and lock himself inside forever. That was the only conceivable way to resist this bizarre manipulation! To his absolute dismay, he had barely taken two steps before encountering a passerby, a Black man.

Before Yujin's mind could even process the situation, his body instinctively collapsed to its knees, dropping into a deep kowtow before the stranger.

The sudden gesture gave the man a massive fright.

He jumped back abruptly, cursing aloud, "Motherfucker!" as he hastily scurried away. He cast glances back at Yujin as if looking at an absolute lunatic, or perhaps someone severely high on drugs.

For a man as fiercely proud as Yujin, that look of utter disdain was the true, devastating blow.

It turned out that despite his lofty status and position, without his entourage of subordinates to prop up his image, no one on the street gave him a second thought.

Even draped in such magnificent robes, he failed to command any respect from the stranger; he was merely seen as a bizarre freak.

Soon, a second person approached. Once again, Yujin violently dropped to his knees in a heavy prostration. This similarly startled the pedestrian, but after recovering from the shock, the opportunistic stranger sneaked back and pickpocketed Yujin's cell phone.

Yujin continued trudging forward. His destination was crystal clear: St. Mary's Cathedral in the center of the city.

He would either make it there to face the final Ruling of the Religious Tribunal, or he would die halfway down the street, his spirit already crumbling under the unbearable weight of his punishment.

"He will die on the road. Those harboring hatred for him will end his life," He Sai told Angus. "I can see such a future!"

Angus remained expressionless. "Then that is a mercy for him. A shepherd who commits such blasphemy against the Lord deserves a Ruling passed down by Angels. He should not be granted such a quick death!"

The Cardinal's eyes swept over the surrounding holy statues, crosses, and murals, all left riddled with bullet holes. This destruction was entirely Yujin's handiwork!

Alas, Yujin would not live to face a proper trial. He was bound for Hell.

This incident only solidified Angus's resolve to continue inspecting churches across the globe!

With impending crises and ceaseless disasters looming over them, if the churches everywhere were run by men like Ken Burke, the former bishop of the San Diego Garden Cathedral, or Yujin Freize, how could The Church ever fulfill the Lord's commandments and protect this world?

Shaking off these grim thoughts, Angus finally turned his full attention back to the man standing before him, He Sai.

"You claimed you belong to the Solomon Cult? Do you worship King Solomon? Or what? Demon Gods?" Angus asked, his expression turning dangerous. "So, you are not merely a pagan, but a heretic?"

It was common knowledge that pagans merely needed conversion or banishment, but heretics... Back in the Middle Ages a thousand years ago, there was usually only one solution for them: burning at the stake.

Meeting the undisguised hostility radiating from the Cardinal, He Sai knew a battle was inevitable.

In truth, he was highly curious to test his own combat power and see where he stood in this new supernatural world. Thus, he struck first!

The true might of the Babylonian Viam Inveniam aut Faciam never lay in the mere telekinetic manipulation of bricks and stones. That was only its most superficial application.

He Sai had come to understand its core: the greatest power was the ability to deconstruct any physical object as if it were a "brick text." It was an infinitely more bizarre and profound force!

This deconstruction power could break down anything in existence, pulling the components into an alternate spatial dimension to be reassembled like basic building blocks.

Sometimes, He Sai even theorized whether the legendary Tower of Babel had been constructed using this exact miraculous magic.

The very first thing Angus felt was that insidious deconstruction power acting directly upon his own body. It sought to break him down into his base components, but was instantly repelled by a radiant light glowing from within him.

Two distinct auras clashed in the air, probing, swelling, and fracturing against one another. The shockwaves pulverized the already scattered debris within the church into fine dust!

Their mutual probing ended there.

He Sai immediately manipulated bricks to elevate himself, hovering above the ground while chunks of stone and tile swirled around him like a powerful earth mage. Since his deconstruction power was ineffective on the man, resorting to sheer physical force was a perfectly viable alternative!

If he could just smash this Cardinal to death with a maelstrom of stones, he could truly walk this world completely unopposed!

A Cardinal of The Church was undoubtedly immensely powerful. If he could kill one, wasn't the entire world his for the taking?

Angus reached into his robes and withdrew The Bible. Resting his fingers upon the cover, he slowly flipped open a page and began his recitation:

"Oh Lord! You are the One, and You are the All! May the Holy Divine Radiance of the Lord be with you..."

Radiant light blossomed from his form as divine will condensed within his mind. A devastating holy attack was rapidly gathering strength!

A titanic clash between the two powerhouses seemed entirely unavoidable. But right at that very second, an inexplicable shadow fell over both their visions!

It was a unique spiritual premonition, carrying the heavy scent of crisis and a sudden, sharp pang of distress!

Both men whipped their heads around in unison, staring toward the coastline not far from Miami. Out there on the water, there seemed to be something...

He Sai's precognition flared to life. As another strand of hair on his head turned snow-white, a terrifying vision flashed before his eyes:

Roaring ocean waves surged into Miami. A gargantuan, nightmarish sea beast breached the city limits, initiating a rampage of unbridled destruction!

A catastrophic tsunami tore through the urban landscape, utterly obliterating the house he had just purchased.

Meanwhile, through the True Vision granted by his Cross, Angus perceived a short, chilling line of text: "The giant serpent Atlas is making landfall!"

The two men exchanged a profound glance and, as if by prior agreement, simultaneously lowered their hands.

Both were faction leaders. With the entire city on the brink of absolute annihilation, neither possessed the slightest desire to continue their duel.

Compared to their personal dispute, the survival of humanity took overwhelming precedence.

...

Out at sea, Bai Yang was playfully teasing a two-headed snake no larger than his palm. Towering waves dozens of meters high churned furiously all around him.

"Crown, a mere fifty points of God Power is enough to mold a giant serpent capable of commanding the tides, plunging this entire city into a natural disaster!" Alvin praised fervently. "Your authority in this world is akin to a true God!"

Bai Yang nodded with a faint smile. "That is secondary, Alvin. What truly matters is that today, we are going to earn back those fifty points of God Power—with interest!"

"Once we recoup our investment, we can contemplate the optimal resolution for this scenario."

Alvin bowed his head. "You already have a flawless plan in mind. I am merely your executor, Crown!"

"Naturally. That is why I have assigned The Core to gather data, while you will orchestrate the grand climax of this tsunami!" Bai Yang declared. "Remember, the absolute top priority remains the Wish Power. Our dear Cardinal Angus and Archbishop He Sai will serve as the most magnificent actors on our stage!"

Alvin nodded in understanding. "We center the spectacle on the city, ensuring the maximum number of witnesses. Then, we guide them into realizing this is no mere natural disaster, but a Supernatural Crisis!"

"Bingo! Your comprehension is spot on. Go now; we might need a little atmospheric assistance from the weather!"

Bai Yang watched Alvin depart before The Core materialized by his side. "Master, the urban data compilation system and the Soul harvesting system are both online. Shall I establish a brand new Soul database?"

"Of course it must be established. It would be best to categorize them into Caucasian, African, and Native American demographics. Ah, subcategorize the Caucasians by European ethnicity, and the Africans by their geographic regions of origin. As for the Native Americans, sort them into Inca, Maya, and Aztec classifications!" Bai Yang instructed, seamlessly flowing into his next command. "While you're at it, establish a reference Soul database. Name it the 'Aztec Divine Pantheon'!"

"We might be putting it to use sooner than we think!"

With that said, Bai Yang raised his hand. The tiny two-headed snake slipped from his palm into the churning ocean, expanding wildly as it hit the stormy winds!

Before long, a terrifying oceanic leviathan reared its heads before him. Its colossal body stretched three hundred meters in length, and its twin serpentine heads were a massive five or six meters wide, fully displaying its gargantuan might!

"From this moment forth, you are Atlas, a giant serpent of the seas!" Bai Yang bestowed upon it a name.

As his voice faded, the raging tsunami and howling gales surged around them, expanding with explosive, terrifying violence!
