Chapter 626: Improper Sitting Posture
Chapter 626: Improper Sitting Posture
Nora Northwood withdrew her calf, her knees kneeling on the edge of the leather seat, her rounded hips pressed tightly against Jasper Sinclair’s legs.
She couldn’t remember from which day it began, but he suddenly developed a fascination for this posture.
Underneath the brown leather skirt, her pair of white legs were drawn up.
Luckily, the car was wide enough, and the interior spacious enough to allow for their antics.
Nora realized that this man was becoming increasingly unruly!
Jasper Sinclair held her waist with one hand, while the other pulled out a velvet pouch from the side, which was only palm-sized, yet the contents were heavy.
"Open it and see if you like it?"
Curiously, Nora took out the item, which was a gemstone ring, with an engraving of St. Paul’s Cathedral at the base of the gemstone.
She put the ring on her middle finger, finding it incredibly beautiful, jokingly saying to the man beneath her, "Mr. Sinclair, you are so generous, how could I not like it."
"Your verbal skills are getting better, I wonder where you learned that from."
"Of course, from you."
The last word of her sentence was swallowed in a deep kiss.
Unlike his usual slow pace, Jasper’s kiss was urgent and intense.
After a week apart, he missed her scent and the sweetness of her lips and tongue.
Nora was forced to tilt her chin up, further succumbing to his invasion, already without the strength to resist.
In the quiet car, faint sounds of water echoed.
It was unclear how much time passed before Jasper reluctantly released her.
If he hadn’t let go, Nora would have genuinely suffocated from lack of air.
If they ended up in the hospital, they couldn’t possibly tell the doctor that they forgot to breathe while kissing... just the thought was amusing.
Nora lay weakly in his arms, listening to the strong thumping of his heart.
"Where to next?" Nora asked.
"To the seaside villa. I’ve cleared tomorrow’s schedule to spend the day with you."
"Alright."
Evidently, the driver had already been informed of their destination, not even lowering the partition to ask.
Uncle Yates also knew in advance they would come tonight, so he had prepared a table full of dishes, all catering to their tastes.
In the latter part of the journey, Nora began to feel dizzy.
She climbed off of Jasper and sat properly in the adjacent seat, rolling down the window. The scenery on both sides of the street receded backward rapidly, as if traveling through a time machine.
The afterglow of the sunset shone through the intervals of the plane trees, sometimes hiding, sometimes blindingly bright.
A spring breeze poured into the car, and a lazy comfort seeped into Nora’s squinting eyes.
Soon, they saw the coastline.
She exclaimed joyfully, "Jasper, can you see the sea?"
After the Qingming Festival, Stanton City welcomed its most pleasant season of the year.
The light of the sunset spread over the waves, seemingly gilding the sea, inviting people to eagerly breathe in the sea breeze.
The last time they were here, it was night.
This time was different, and Nora more directly felt the allure of the sea, which was where her heart longed to be.
Her hair was all blown to the back, floating behind her neck, with a faint fragrance mixing with the salty sea breeze, entering her nostrils.
Jasper reminded her, "Pull your head back in, you look like a child begging for candy."
"You’re like an old man, nagging!" Nora giggled after speaking, but obediently pulled her neck back in.
"Starting to call me old already? The saying ’use someone and then discard them’ really applies to me."
