Chapter 627: Seeking Inspiration
Chapter 627: Seeking Inspiration
The vehicle sped down the highway, hugging the coastline, and turned another bend.
Up ahead, it was about to enter the private estate.
A blue guardhouse diligently watched over the estate.
"Private estate, no entry."
The painted lettering on the sign was particularly prominent, keeping everyone out of the estate.
A young, muscular security guard stood outside the guardhouse.
"Welcome home, Mr. and Mrs. Sinclair." He bent and bowed, his voice threading through the car window gap.
The car’s license plate was recognized and automatically granted access.
"It’s so beautiful during the day too." Nora looked at the distant sea and rocks, unable to refrain from exclaiming.
"If you like it, stay here for a while."
"That’s a good idea. If I create here, I’ll surely have more inspiration." Her words fell, and she chirped, "Can’t you see clearly?"
Then, she found Jasper Sinclair’s glasses case in the storage compartment, grumbling, "Put on your glasses."
With a pure black frame adorned with subtle decorations on either side, understated yet luxurious.
Nora wiped the lenses with a cloth, leaned forward slightly, "Let me help you."
The frames rested on Jasper Sinclair’s nose bridge, softening his sharp aura somewhat.
"You look cuter wearing glasses."
Nora used "cute" to describe him—a word typically for girls or children—yet here it was applied to him, sounding quite out of place.
Jasper didn’t mind nor refute; he even complimented back, "Not as cute as you."
"Now I can see more clearly!"
"Yes." He said while nudging the frame with his finger joint.
Jasper rarely wore glasses outside of work.
Sometimes facing a computer, his eyes would inevitably feel sore, and with various emissions, the lenses not only prevented nearsightedness but also had blue light filtering.
Both of their heads tilted to one side, the azure sea stretching from afar, passing through three guardhouses before reaching the final destination.
Such stunning scenery rendered any praise unnecessary.
In front of the courtyard, a fountain had been constructed at some point. Nora remembered not seeing it on her last visit.
Perhaps it was because she was too rushed last time to admire its façade properly.
Jasper discerned her thoughts and explained, "The fountain was built after spring started, thinking you’d like it."
"Very thoughtful, perfectly to my liking."
The fountain shimmered under the twilight, emitting colorful waves like a rainbow on the water.
Nora asked again, "How much does maintaining this place cost?"
"Roughly calculating labor costs, about this much." Jasper gestured the number "3" before her.
"Such an extravagant capitalist; it looks like I should plan to come more often each month to avoid waste."
"If you like, you can also invite friends over."
As the sun was nearing its set, they had enjoyed the sunset scenery along the way, with such beauty lifting their spirits.
Uncle Yates awaited the two, first opening the car door for Jasper, "Mr. Sinclair, welcome back."
Inside, they changed into more comfortable shoes.
Uncle Yates stood by, asking, "These shoes are Italian handcrafted designs, do they fit well? Adjustments can be made if needed."
"They’re perfect, thank you, Uncle Yates."
Nora thought: Uncle Yates must be the most diligent and dedicated butler in the world!
"Dinner is prepared and waiting for you in the dining room."
