Flash Marriage: She becomes Mrs. CEO after the Failed Dowry Talk

Chapter 616: Private Domain

Chapter 616: Private Domain

"No more than three months, and finally, Grandma’s hopes have come true."

Someone came over to toast, interrupting their conversation.

Nora sighed: Jasper Sinclair sure has a big presence. Even when it’s not his event, why do people keep coming over?

In Stanton City, who wouldn’t want to get in good with the Sinclair Family?

With just a beckoning finger from Jasper Sinclair, fortunes could come their way.

Suddenly, Nora felt uninterested.

She said, "It’s late. Let’s leave the rest of the time to Rhys Linden and the others, shall we?"

"Sure," Jasper agreed, placing the glass in his hand on the coffee table in front of him.

The two greeted Rhys Linden and then left DP.

As they stepped out, Nora saw a man and a woman across the road. The back view seemed familiar, and she tugged on the sleeve of the person beside her, nodding in their direction.

"Look, doesn’t that girl look like Lily Sloan?"

By the time Jasper’s gaze focused across the street, they’d already gotten into the car, leaving behind the exhaust.

But he still saw the car’s license plate, giving Nora some reassurance: "It’s a Lawrence Family car, no worries."

Indeed, he wasn’t wrong.

Finnian Lawrence personally drove Lily Sloan towards Tianfu Road.

That area had many old buildings, also his private residence. He wasn’t always at the Lawrence Family home and occasionally spent time outside.

A courtyard sprawling hundreds of square meters, Finnian explained: "This was where Grandma lived before she passed, and she left it under my name."

The green tiles and red walls were surrounded by an ink-black fence.

The vehicle parked steadily in the courtyard, where there was a faint scent of osmanthus.

Lily Sloan let herself be led, her gaze lingered on his white attire, and she thought he felt even more aloof than the crescent moon in the sky.

However, his palm was warm.

As the two walked inside, the door opened from the other side.

Lily Sloan was so startled that she clung tightly to Finnian’s arm, trying to hide behind him.

Until a woman’s voice emerged from the other side: "Finnian, why didn’t you give me a heads-up before coming back?"

"It’s too late, didn’t want to disturb you."

The heart that had been stuck in Lily’s throat fell, and she smiled at the woman with a touch of embarrassment.

She thought it was a ghost!

The woman ushered them into the inner room and helped Lily find a clean pair of slippers.

"Thank you."

Lily wasn’t sure what to call her, so she used a respectful title.

She was led by Finnian to sit in front of the coffee table, quietly observing the room.

It looked like architecture from the Republican era.

The woman brewed a pot of tea and cheerfully asked, "Young lady, what’s your name?"

"Lily Sloan, the ’small’ in ’small’." She answered obediently, her hands clasped on her lap, afraid to move.

Finnian immediately added, "Aunty is from The Chyvan Region, she’s taken care of me growing up, and I’ve settled her here. It’s considered a nice place for retirement."

After he spoke, Lily followed his lead and called her aunty.

This made the woman very happy.

"Aunty, we’re here to get some food."

Upon hearing they hadn’t had dinner, the woman was even happier, leaving them in the living room while she went to the kitchen to get busy.

Without the woman’s jovial chatter, Lily became the one to find a topic. She shuffled her hands and curiously said, "I grew up in Stanton City, and have never seen or heard of a place like this."
