Flash Marriage: She becomes Mrs. CEO after the Failed Dowry Talk

Chapter 615: Birthday Party

Chapter 615: Birthday Party

At the end of the month, Rhys Linden’s birthday arrived as expected.

Nora Northwood dressed up lightly, her plain face slightly adorned with makeup, as she complained to Jasper Sinclair, "I’ve been staying up late working overtime recently, and now I have dark circles."

"Next time, go to my aunt’s beauty salon."

She clicked her tongue, teasing that Jasper Sinclair knew quite a bit.

Rhys Linden’s birthday party wasn’t a particularly formal occasion, so both of them dressed casually.

Matching white knitted sweaters, giving off a bit of a couple’s outfit vibe.

The top-floor VIP room at DP.

The drinks were spread out all over the table—beer, white wine, foreign liquor—just getting close was intoxicating enough.

When Jasper Sinclair arrived, more than half the people were already seated in the room. Upon seeing him, everyone stood up in unison, calling out "Jasper."

He was a few years older than these younger ones, who had been following him around since they were kids, seeking him out when facing difficult problems.

Thus, Jasper Sinclair was both loved and respected within the circle.

He waved his hand and said, "Today is Rhys Linden’s stage, everyone enjoy yourselves to the fullest."

Upon hearing this, everyone felt reassured.

A few games of cards were noisily being played on the right, Jasper Sinclair held the hand of the person next to him and found a low-key spot to sit.

Before long, Rhys Linden came in from outside.

His gaze swept around the room and finally landed on Jasper Sinclair.

"Jasper, sis, there are quite a few people today, don’t mind it. If it’s too noisy, I’ll clear out some unimportant people for you."

The only person Rhys Linden felt he needed to consider in the whole room was Jasper Sinclair.

Setting aside his identity and status, just counting the things he did for Rhys Linden alone required more than one hand.

"It’s not too noisy. Occasionally, you have to join in on you youngsters’ gatherings."

"What are you saying, you’re not old at all."

Rhys Linden joked around with them for a bit before mingling elsewhere.

After a while, someone else came over to Jasper Sinclair with a tall glass, looking serious, and said, "Jasper, I’m here to apologize on behalf of my uncle."

"You are you, your uncle is your uncle, let’s not talk about work today."

Jasper Sinclair silently refused, implying he didn’t accept the apology.

The other person dared not get angry and kept smiling, downing his drink completely.

After the person left, Nora Northwood leaned close to Jasper Sinclair’s ear and whispered, "Is that the young master from Apex Industries?"

A long time ago, at another event, she had seen this person.

Back then, he was arrogant, not putting anyone in his eyes. Who would have thought he’d have such a humble day.

Sure enough, people can be two-faced.

Jasper Sinclair, with a carefree demeanor, explained to Nora Northwood sentence by sentence, "Yes, it’s him. His uncle messed up a deal, and the two of them probably aren’t having an easy time at Apex Industries recently."

"Not everyone is like Rhys Linden."

"Rhys is a bit mischievous, but he’s not a bad person and is quite straightforward. Back in school, he was always getting scolded by Mr. Linden and would run to me each time."

"No wonder you’re different with Rhys than with others."

Nora Northwood had met Jasper Sinclair’s friends and childhood companions. If she had to say who he was closest to, Rhys Linden would be the only one that came to mind.

"When I got into trouble in front of Grandpa, this guy took the blame for me."

"Who would’ve thought, he’s quite loyal."

"But sadly, his little tricks couldn’t fool Grandpa. In the end, he still couldn’t escape a scolding."

The conversation shifted to Grandpa Sinclair, and Nora Northwood asked, "Is Grandpa coming back soon?"
