Chapter 614: Her Warning
Chapter 614: Her Warning
Given the situation, Nora Northwood saw no need to stay longer. Before she left, she issued a warning: "I hope this is the first and last time something like this happens. My demand is that the Woodward Family take down the plagiarized product within three working days. If your company doesn’t meet my demand, I will pursue legal procedures."
After she left, Andrea Miller was still explaining to Rachel Woodward that she had completely severed ties with VK.
Rachel Woodward wasn’t listening and left Andrea alone, while she went off to have fun with her girlfriends.
...
On the day Lily Sloan returned to the country, it coincided with the food festival. She invited Nora Northwood and Finnian Lawrence, planning to browse around.
"Oakhaven’s pastry skins, want to take some back?" She chattered non-stop, as if this was her paradise.
"We can put it in the office as overtime snacks."
"Ruining the delicious food."
The shop assistant saw their interest and immediately took out prepared samples, inviting them to taste.
Lily Sloan, being a picky eater, pointed out after just a small bite: "As expected of Aop butter, it always balances the savory and salty flavors perfectly."
She has a unique definition of food.
By the time they left the shop, her hands were already carrying several paper bags.
Nora Northwood didn’t stay with the two until the end; she never liked playing the third wheel, so she had Jasper Sinclair pick her up at the street corner.
Left alone with just the two of them, Lily Sloan felt uncomfortable.
She smacked her lips and said, "Do you not really like coming to occasions like this?"
She noticed that Finnian Lawrence had spoken very little tonight.
"No, experiencing human atmosphere once in a while is nice."
"A young master born with a silver spoon probably hasn’t seen a food festival. You haven’t spoken much tonight, so I thought you didn’t like it."
"I was seriously listening to you."
Lily Sloan was momentarily stunned; her gaze moved down from Finnian Lawrence’s eyes to his high, sharp nose, then she smiled and said nothing.
Overhead, a faint laugh was heard. Somehow, she felt like she was being teased.
Soon after, Finnian Lawrence said, "It’s getting late. I’ll take you home."
"Alright."
He smoothly took the paper bags from Lily Sloan’s hands. This trip could be said to be a fruitful one.
Meanwhile,
Nora Northwood had already returned home and stuffed the food she bought into the fridge.
Since she was inspired by Jasper Sinclair last time, she began delegating a lot of her work, only leaving tasks she had to handle personally.
As a result, she managed to free up quite a bit of personal time.
Jasper Sinclair’s voice came from behind her, saying, "Rhys Linden’s birthday is coming up. He reserved a spot at DP. Want to go together?"
Nora Northwood thought that Yvonne Winslow would probably attend Rhys Linden’s birthday, so she nodded and agreed, casually asking, "Will there be a lot of people that day?"
"Yes, the Linden Family will hold another party on his birthday itself, so his private gathering will be the day before his birthday. Most attendees will be peers his age."
Suddenly, Nora Northwood thought of another issue.
"Will the Linden Family agree to him dating Yvonne Winslow? It won’t be like Finnian Lawrence’s case, will it?"
If that’s really the case, Nora Northwood might have to lament for her few friends.
This isn’t a scene everyone would like to witness.
Fortunately, Jasper Sinclair gave her positive feedback: "Though the Linden Family is particular, they don’t interfere too much. As long as the other person is a decent girl, it should be fine."
