Chapter 457: Packing Luggage
Chapter 457: Packing Luggage
Wherever Jasper Sinclair went, he was the focus of the crowd.
At this moment, being completely ignored by Nora Northwood, he felt displeased.
Then, he squatted down in front of her and asked, "Are we having a separation?"
Nora didn’t look up, continued sorting the clothes in her suitcase, and later on, not in the mood to fold, she simply stuffed them in.
Soon, she filled a suitcase.
She struggled with the zipper for quite a while. Jasper Sinclair watched her clumsy movements and found it amusing.
"Trying to move your luggage secretly while I’m not home, but didn’t expect me to come back at this time?"
Nora’s small plan was uncovered, causing unwarranted anger; she retorted with a sharp edge, "Don’t think you’re so important, I just don’t want to see you, out of sight, out of mind."
After saying this, she felt those words were somewhat excessive.
After all, they had been married for a year, and this was not her true intention.
Then, the room fell silent again. Nora went to pack her pile of cosmetics, busy for quite a while, and finally only packed one suitcase and one tote bag.
The time the two of them moved into the villa wasn’t long, living at Southwood Court was more frequent.
She pondered: chose the wrong place, it should have been Southwood Court.
Jasper Sinclair’s eyes followed her movements, looking at her troubled little face, unable to guess what she was thinking at the moment.
"With so much stuff, let me give you a ride. You’re a girl, how can you manage it all?"
Jasper Sinclair, out of kindness, wanted to know where her house address was.
But these words fell on Nora Northwood’s ears with a sense of being chased away, making her feel unpleasant, "How dare I trouble such a big boss like you, I have hands and feet and can leave on my own, not wasting time for you to prepare for the next one."
This sarcastic remark made Jasper Sinclair’s face fall.
"Cars outside can’t enter the villa. Nora Northwood, can you stop being like a hedgehog?"
"If you’re bothered by my thorns, then stay far away from me."
After arguing for a few more words, Nora would not let Jasper Sinclair touch her things no matter what, and in the end, she dragged the suitcase down the stairs by herself.
At the entrance, Jasper Sinclair pulled her with his large hand, causing her to stagger.
Nora seemed in disbelief that he could do such a thing, slightly surprised.
"What are you doing?"
After realizing it, she twisted her body to break free from Jasper Sinclair’s embrace.
But her strength couldn’t match his, no matter how much she struggled, the other person wasn’t affected.
Finally, she stopped moving, a feeling of grievance welled up in her heart, reddening her eyes.
Why couldn’t they part peacefully?
Why must he embarrass her?
"Nora." Jasper Sinclair looked at her deeply, wanting to say words to make her stay but didn’t know where to start.
Nora pursed her lips, her almond eyes brimming with tears, she was both frightened and expectant...
The way she looked naturally made one want to tease her a bit. Jasper Sinclair thought this way and acted upon it, lowering his head wanting to approach her soft lips.
Nora, lost in thought, was about to let him succeed, when at the last moment, she turned her head, the sides of their cool lips brushed lightly.
She took a deep breath, her body uncontrollably trembling.
Jasper Sinclair fell into a state of frustration. He had no prior experience in comforting others and never thought they would reach this point.
He truly didn’t know what to do, and nobody was there to tell him the correct answer.
In the vast open plan living room, only the sound of their breaths entangled as one remained.
