Flash Marriage: She becomes Mrs. CEO after the Failed Dowry Talk

Chapter 453: My Sister-in-law Is Here Too

Chapter 453: My Sister-in-law Is Here Too

When Rhys Linden noticed the person beside the girl, he instinctively shrank back his shoulders, "Jasper, Jasper, does your wife know you’re here today?"

Rhys hadn’t seen Nora Northwood many times, but he clearly remembered her appearance.

Before Jasper Sinclair got married, people used to secretly guess who his future wife would be.

Some said it would be the pampered daughter of The Anson Family, others said it would be a career-oriented strong woman.

Yet, no one guessed a girl like Nora Northwood, youthful in appearance with a hint of baby fat on her face, but an unyielding determination in her eyes.

"She doesn’t know," Jasper Sinclair said calmly.

"Should I ask someone to invite your wife to the private room?" And maybe that other girl too... Rhys didn’t dare say the second half of the sentence.

He raised his hand to call the waiter, but the spot next to him was already empty.

"Jasper, wait for me."

Rhys called out as he noted the seat number downstairs and found that Nora had already stood up and was headed towards the restroom.

...

Nora felt her head spinning, and even her stomach was churning with discomfort.

In the past, at the Sloan Family’s wine tastings, she considered herself to have a much better alcohol tolerance than the average person.

But that wasn’t the case now.

Her muddled emotions accelerated the speed at which the alcohol evaporated; her face was flushed like she was holding her breath; the last shred of sanity kept her going as she walked out of the restroom.

As she reached the corner, her wrist was forcefully grabbed.

"Hiss—" She winced in pain, thinking she had encountered a thug, and lifted her high heels to aim at the person’s most vulnerable spot.

"Are you trying to make me a widower?"

A familiar male voice came from above, stopping Nora mid-action; she looked up and stared straight at Jasper Sinclair’s face.

Jasper met her gaze and was momentarily dazed by her seductive eyes.

He rarely saw her like this; even her eyes seemed alluring.

"How much did you drink? You can’t even recognize your own husband?"

Nora tilted her head, blurting out a name: "Jasper Sinclair."

"Come home with me."

"I don’t want to go home; I want a divorce, divorce!"

The people coming and going around them witnessed the couple’s exchange, stopping one by one, forgetting about their original reason for using the restroom, most of them enjoying the drama unfolding before them.

Rhys chased after them, only to realize belatedly that the newlyweds were having a spat!

No wonder the always abstemious Jasper Sinclair accepted his invitation to drink this time.

Rhys hesitated in his steps, ultimately refraining from stepping forward.

"Couple arguments are best resolved in private," Rhys thought, knowing it wasn’t appropriate for him to intervene as an outsider.

Besides, he had his own ulterior motives.

Just as he was deciding to return to the bar, a girl with flushed cheeks and short hair appeared in front of him.

This is!

A stroke of luck!

Rhys stopped her, "Pretty sister, your friend and her husband are fighting about divorce; why don’t I take you to avoid the situation?"

Yvonne Winslow frowned, glancing past Rhys to see Nora Northwood surrounded by Jasper Sinclair, who was patiently coaxing her.

Immediately, she retracted her gaze, not planning to bother with the idle young noble before her.

She’d seen plenty of similar types during her time at Shaw Enterprises.

Behind them, Jasper Sinclair could no longer endure being watched like a spectacle.

He slipped his hand around Nora’s waist and whisked her away to the top floor’s hidden suite.

The touch of moisture on his shirt made him look down, realizing the person in his arms was softly sobbing.

Suddenly, his heart clenched tightly, and he felt a sharp pain piercing through him.
