Chapter 375: I Want to Wait for Him
Chapter 375: I Want to Wait for Him
A dozen models sashayed in front of Nora Northwood’s eyes round after round, and after about forty minutes, she felt a bit dizzy and called for a halt.
"Madam, if you like any styles, you can make your selections here." Bailey conjured up an iPad like a magician and presented it to her.
Ultimately, Nora chose five items.
The first one was a deep V white velvet, which she thought complemented the fragrance of Magnolia Bell perfectly.
The second was a Greek-style red dress that she wanted to give to Megan Underwood; only Megan could handle the exceptional aura that this dress exudes.
The remaining three were selected after Nora racked her brains, taking into account VK’s various styles.
Going out once, she couldn’t return empty-handed.
During a water break, Nora fished her phone out of her pocket and sent a message to Jasper Sinclair: "Big boss has spent a fortune today."
Jasper Sinclair was in the meeting room, having just wrapped up the first-quarter performance report and was preparing to summarize when his private phone vibrated.
Few people have his personal contact information, only those closest to him.
He glanced at it, and his perpetually calm lips finally curved into a different shape.
The employees below rubbed their eyes, they must have been mistaken, right? Did the cold and unfeeling work machine actually smile?
Jasper noticed the change in atmosphere around him, withdrew his gaze, and cleared his throat twice to cover up, focusing his thoughts back on work, and the smile vanished from his lips.
The three-hour-long report concluded, and everyone’s seats were becoming increasingly uncomfortable.
Eventually, the revered big boss spoke, "Mid-session break for fifteen minutes, relevant personnel prepare for the next agenda item."
The night in France arrives a bit earlier.
By six o’clock, the outside scenery was already shrouded in darkness.
Nora Northwood returned to the hotel, and Bailey thoughtfully reminded her, "Madam, there is a medication that needs to be taken before meals."
"Got it."
She complied verbally, but her body seemed sickly, lounging on the sofa as if glued down, preventing her from getting up.
"Do you need dinner service ordered for you now?"
"What time is it?" Nora answered with a question.
"It’s six in the afternoon French time, twelve noon Beijing time." Bailey was meticulous, reporting the time in both countries.
"No wonder, I just want to sleep again." Nora sniffled, her voice carried a nasal tone mixed with cuteness, making her seem overly adorable.
"If you sleep now, you might suffer from insomnia tonight." Bailey subtly advised her.
"But I don’t want to eat, I want to wait for him to come back."
The "him" in Nora’s words naturally referred to Jasper Sinclair, and Bailey complimented: "Really envy Director Sinclair, having a lovely wife at home after work. Shall I send a message to Special Assistant Hayes to give a little reminder?"
Bailey dared not disturb the auto-cooling president and could only resort to the next best option, ensuring the message got across—she trusted that Special Assistant Hayes would handle it more flawlessly.
Sure enough, Nora nodded in agreement.
Bailey conveyed her words verbatim to Louis Hayes but did not get an immediate response; perhaps he was busy.
Nora had little appetite and didn’t want to taste the French-flavored Chinese snacks, so she simply went to the floor-to-ceiling window to admire the night view of France.
The neon lights of Vaeloria scattered across every corner of the street.
In the colorful night, she vaguely saw a striking red.
It was Jasper Sinclair’s car, Nora quickly realized.
