Flash Marriage: She becomes Mrs. CEO after the Failed Dowry Talk

Chapter 258: Cooking

Chapter 258: Cooking

To thank Jasper Sinclair for his help, Nora Northwood decided to cook for him personally, as a token of appreciation.

Hearing that his wife was going to cook, Jasper Sinclair eagerly ran to the kitchen.

"Honey, what dishes are you planning to make tonight?"

Nora took a quick look at the ingredients in the fridge and, according to both of their preferences, she preliminarily decided on a few dishes, "Cola chicken wings, sweet shrimp, and let’s also prepare some mashed potatoes. Do you want anything else?"

After hearing this, Jasper thought for a moment, "I want to eat a vegetable."

"Mashed potatoes are vegetables."

"A green, leafy vegetable."

Despite Nora’s slim arms and legs, she’s actually a carnivore and always avoids vegetables.

To her, any food that isn’t meat counts as a vegetable.

Jasper circled around to her side from the other side of the fridge, his gaze drifting to a spot below her collarbone, "You need to eat some vegetables occasionally, balanced nutrition helps you grow well, honey."

"Just meat."

Nora huffed a little and went to prepare their dinner.

She scored the cleaned chicken wings and put them in cold water to boil, then added some cooking wine.

"A box of chicken wings should be enough for the two of us." Talking as she slightly raised her eyebrows, she caught Jasper, who seemed like an outsider, "Honey, help me peel the potatoes."

"Okay."

Jasper rolled up his sleeves, revealing a small portion of his fair wrist, and joined her team.

With a man and a woman working together, the workload doesn’t feel tiring.

Nora put the marinated shrimp into the fridge to chill, and the chicken wings reached the braising step.

In the end, she still made a vegetable salad to satisfy someone’s craving for leafy greens.

In less than an hour, the meal was ready.

Nora took out the sweet shrimp from the fridge, and without putting on gloves, she peeled one first.

Once shelled, the shrimp meat was rosy red, she handed the shrimp meat to Jasper’s mouth, "To thank President Sinclair for solving a major issue for the small shop, the first shrimp is yours."

Jasper looked at her, and as he took the shrimp in his mouth, he also enveloped the round tip of her finger, his gaze weaving.

Nora withdrew her hand and continued plating.

"Honey, if you ever feel like not wanting to create fragrances, becoming a chef wouldn’t be bad."

"I’ll take that as a compliment."

Perhaps being too sensitive to spices, during the cooking process, Nora could achieve perfect control over every seasoning.

Thus, her cooking skills were always pretty good.

After they sat down, Nora couldn’t wait to reach for the chicken wings with her chopsticks.

She savored a bite, it was tender instead of dry, with a moderate sweetness.

She praised herself, "Today’s cola chicken wings turned out very well, should have cooked two boxes."

After the meal, both were particularly full, with Nora’s little belly visibly protruding.

Jasper teased her, saying, "Mrs. Sinclair’s belly, how many months?"

"Just turned three months, President Sinclair, remember to celebrate with wine after the full month."

The two of them joked for a while and decided unanimously to go outside to take a walk to digest, as sleeping with a full stomach is uncomfortable.

Southwood Court has a small fountain; they stood beside it for a while.

In the moonlight, Nora’s eyes were sparkling like stars, seemingly pulling people in.

With a turn, she found herself being intently watched.

"What are you looking at?"

Nora touched her face, wondering: Could there be something left on her mouth?

The next second, Jasper lowered his head and placed a gentle kiss above her eyelid.

"Looking at your eyes, they’re very bright."
