Chapter 259: International Aromatherapy Competition
Chapter 259: International Aromatherapy Competition
The next day.
As soon as Nora Northwood entered VK, Megan Underwood hurried over to her, "Nora, take a look at this."
Nora glanced at what Megan wanted to show her.
International Fragrance Competition, Stanton City event.
She became interested and inquired, "Is this a competition happening soon?"
"Yes, it holds a certain prestige in the fragrance community, organized by the House of Aromas," Megan explained.
"Do you want to sign up together?"
"I won’t join the crowd, but I’ll sign you up."
Such competitions are a bit too elementary for Megan now; she’d be more suited to be a judge.
Then, she explained some of the rules and formats of the competition to Nora.
It’s not just registration that gives you a chance to participate; you still have to wait for approval.
Many perfumers dream of participating in this competition.
Back in the day, the prince of the House of Aromas, Finnian Lawrence, made a name for himself in this international competition, becoming a representative of the fragrance world both domestically and internationally.
"Let’s find a quiet place and help you sign up." Megan pulled Nora into the office and fiddled with the computer.
"Let’s confirm one last time to see if there’s any mistake in the info provided."
Nora shook her head like a rattle, "No mistakes."
"Bam—"
The Enter key was pressed, and the words "Awaiting Approval" popped up at the top of the screen.
Megan reminded her, "The results of the approval will be sent via text message to your phone, so remember to check."
"Okay."
With the registration done, the two of them went to the front desk.
Since VK moved into the mall, the traffic has increased significantly, with a continuous flow of customers at the door.
Nora observed for a few days and figured out that the shoppers on the third floor of the mall fell into three categories.
The first type is customers who casually browse with nothing better to do; the second is those with a strong intent to purchase; the third type are those who come to enjoy the air conditioning, who for now can’t be called customers.
She was observing the setup at the door, feeling that something was missing.
She pondered whether to place a screen there, to loop the fragrance-making process or other promotional content.
While Nora was deep in thought, two people were walking towards her from a distance.
"Tsk-tsk," the person started, "The genius perfumer has come here to sell products."
The slightly mocking tone made Nora frown and pull back from her daydreams.
The person was Yuna Hughes, and the other one she didn’t know.
Nora didn’t understand where their arrogance stemmed from.
She took a deep breath and asked, "Do you ladies have any purchasing needs?"
Yuna didn’t respond to her question but brought up another thing instead.
"I’ve already received an invitation for the International Fragrance Competition, and this time, I will definitely beat you!" Yuna declared confidently.
Her friend scoffed lightly, "I bet she won’t even get a spot in the competition."
At this moment, Megan noticed the situation outside.
Worried that Nora might be bullied, she quickly put down the product in her hand and was ready to come to Nora’s defense.
Who would have thought that once she stepped out, she’d hear the young girl boldly retorting.
"Miss Hughes, with your noble background, your fragrances aren’t sold publicly, just put on a pedestal at home like a living deity. Someone as noble as you shouldn’t need to participate in such competitions, lest someone outshines you and makes you feel uneasy."
Yuna was so stumped by the retort that she was left speechless and could only stamp her feet in frustration.
