Eternal Freedom's Ascension

Chapter 251: Darling~

Chapter 251: Darling~

Ariel ran through the empty city, carrying the flag with him. His green eyes were full of calculations and without any ripple of emotion.

’If I can convince Kaiser to go rescue Mordica, that would be good. But I doubt he would just listen to me.’

Thinking back, there was no deep relationship between the two. Perhaps if it was Kiera, maybe he would just acted.

’Is he developing romantic feelings for them? No, I don’t think so. He must be planning something big again. No wonder he chose that Maya girl from Class-C first. I should look into her too.’

Hearing the loud quakes coming from the wall, he paused, then hid the flag at a corner.

’My only mission is to take away the flag. Informing Kaiser about the current situation shouldn’t jeopardize my mission.’

Nodding to himself, he crouched and took a high jump, reaching the top of the wall in one smooth movement.

When he landed, he was almost hit by one of Gaga’s punches, but he easily dodged.

Both fighters turned to him as soon as he appeared.

Ignoring the golden-eyed monster, Ariel spoke to Kaiser.

"Mordica is currently unconscious and in Adela’s hands. She requests for your presence immediately."

Kaiser frowned. "Mordica got caught? Hmm."

He looked at Ariel again, reading the secret message on his expression.

’I’ve secured the flag, go get Mordica.’

Sighing, he said. "Alright. Pass the word to Hazel. I’ll go get the flag myself."

Before Gaga could react, Kaiser jumped off the wall and sprinted into the city.

"Ugh..."

Shifting his gaze to Ariel, he clenched his fist. He wanted to chase after Kaiser, but this was an opponent right before him.

"You’re not going anywhere."

Ariel nodded obediently, but before he could even blink, Gaga threw a punch in his direction.

The air folded, and Ariel felt something slam into his torso. He was thrown off the wall, falling back into the city.

"That should keep him down for a few minutes."

Dusting his hands, Gaga chased after Kaiser as fast as he could.

On the ground, Ariel stood up and dusted himself. He stretched his body, hearing his bones pop and snap into places.

"That hurt."

Limping slightly until he set his dislocated knee, he went to the place he hod the flag, then stealthily escaped from the city.

Kaiser appeared to Adela in less than two minutes, looking at the girl laid on the ground with a detached gaze.

"Ah, darling~"

Adela waved and winked at him, but seeing his attention not on her, her mood soured.

"You want to save her that badly?"

Kaiser shook his head, surprising her.

"Hm? You don’t seem to possess any concern for this girl, do you?"

Finally jumping off the building he was standing, Kaiser landed softly some meters away from her.

"A little. But I’m more interested in what ability you could use to put her in this... state."

Adela blinked, then smiled. "Oh! You’re interested in my ability? I’m honored~"

Kaiser didn’t reply her immediately. Instead, he walked up to Mordica and crouched beside her.

He turned her body over, examining her state carefully.

Adela didn’t interfere and watched with a smile. "Eh? Could it be that my darling is a pervert who loves groping unconscious girls? Perhaps you think enough pleasure can wake her up."

"Your imagination is nastier than I thought."

Kaiser sighed and stood up, his gaze still fixed on Mordica.

"You stopped her from being active. That means she’s in something similar to coma."

The lilac-haired girl clapped and squealed. "As expected, darling! You’re so smart! I’m really excited~"

He finally turned to her, his expression calm.

"Well? Isn’t it time you stop whatever you’re doing on me? I won’t let it work."

Adela blinked innocently, then smiled like a venomous snake.

"Oh! So you noticed."

She stepped back carefully. "I’ve been trying to use my ability on you, but..."

She looked above his head, seeing his life equation glitching and barely readable.

"... sigh, it’s really something exasperating."

Kaiser rolled his eyes. "My bad. Now, will you release that effect, or I have to force you?"

Adela wasn’t afraid. She giggled and covered her mouth cutely.

"I’d like to see you tr—"

Suddenly, she found Kaiser’s left hand clamped around her throat, cutting off any word she wanted to produce.

Her eyes went wide, and she felt the primal instont to struggle.

Before she could though, something shot straight at the end from a distance.

Kaiser glanced over, then raised his right arm defensively.

Bang!

Gaga’s punch slammed into the arm, sending a flash of pain through Kaiser. He was forced to release Adela’s slender neck and slam into the structure behind him instead.

’Ah... I can’t use my ability to defend myself against two things.’

It was regrettable, but he had to be wary of Adela’s ability.

Gaga stopped beside Adela with a frown.

"This guy was tanking my blows and now, he’s suddenly send flying. It’s very suspicious."

Adela smiled and explained. "I guess he has a negating ability. But can only be used on one target."

Gaga’s eyes narrowed. "So he’s treating your ability as something more dangerous than mine."

She nodded, and they both turned to look at Kaiser who appeared unharmed.

He stretched his right arm slightly, then cracked his neck.

"Now that he’s here, this feels even."

He sheathed the Deathstalkers, then closed his eyes.

When he opened them again, they were glowing with a white wheel and a completely detached look.

Suddenly, Gaga noticed the missing flagpole.

He frowned, staring hard to ensure he wasn’t hallucinating.

"Wait. What happened to the flag?"

Adela’s smile froze, but she answered carefully. "Well, that machine took it. But I thought you were going to stop him."

Gaga’s eyes widened. "I didn’t know it was with him."

Instead of arguing, the lilac-haired girl only facepalmed.

"That guy is really a devious one, isn’t he?"

Gaga was about to nod when he suddenly jumped before Adela and crossed his arms.

Bang!
