Chapter 191: Transformation
Chapter 191: Transformation
Logan’s eyes regained clarity, and he immediately stumbled back.
"Wha... what the hell was that?! You can use your powers?"
He had been conscious all along, desperately trying to regain control over his own body.
However, it felt impossible—like he was trapped.
Staring at Kaiser with fear, he cautiously backed away.
Kaiser didn’t move, and neither did Kiera.
He stood calmly, observing Logan with a detached expression.
"I’m going to ask you a few questions."
His eyelids dropped slightly.
"Do your best to answer truthfully."
Logan frowned, but nodded. He still felt cautious of Kaiser’s controlling ability.
"Who are your parents?"
Hearing that question, Logan froze.
His brows furrowed, and a conflicted emotion flashed in his eyes.
"I... I don’t know. Why are you even asking?"
Kaiser nodded subtly, ignoring the boy’s question.
"Well then, who raised you? Adopted? A family member? Or a parent’s friend?"
Logan’s frown deepened, and he glared at Kaiser.
"Hey, you’re asking too much. Who do you think you are?!"
He unconsciously reached for his phone, intending to call Jose or Eric for help.
’These two brought me here. They definitely aren’t planning something good.’
"You won’t find it. I made sure you left it in your room."
Kaiser stated calmly, his hands pocketed in a relaxed posture.
"Wha-?" Logan looked up in surprise. "Are you two serious? What stupid prank are you playing?!"
He took a step forward, annoyed. He had always been feeling itchy since yesterday, like a frustration he was unable to vent.
This was why he decided to take a nap and cool off.
However, being suddenly abducted and locked in a strange room was frustrating him.
"Prank?" Kaiser’s head tilted. "What prank?"
His voice sounded innocently oblivious.
Logan ground his teeth in anger, then rolled up his sleeves.
"Get out of my way, or I’ll have to ram through you."
His voice was dead serious, like a cornered prey suddenly turned predator.
Kaiser’s expression didn’t change. His head remained tilted, and he looked at Logan with his usual detached gaze.
"Ram through me? Can you?"
Those arrogant words irked Logan, and his gaze darkened.
"You’re really asking for it."
Although he was wary of Kaiser’s control ability, he believed there had to be a limit.
’Perhaps he can’t even use it consecutively.’
Logan saw hope in this. He knew he might not be able to beat Kaiser, but at least he’d reach the door and escape.
Kiera was not a threat. He had seen her fight on the stage earlier.
At the same time he stepped towards Kaiser, the boy removed a hand from his pocket.
He flexed the fingers, then straightened his neck. His movements were oddly mechanical.
"I’m asking you again, Kaiser. Step out of my—"
He cut himself off, abruptly dashing at the blue-haired boy with the intent of delivering a surprise attack.
Kaiser effortlessly caught his fist, not moving an inch.
Clamping his fingers tightly on the hand, Kaiser pulled him close and kneed him in the stomach.
He held back, leaving Logan only slightly hurt.
The boy groaned, stumbling back as he held his stomach in pain and discomfort.
Raising his head, his glare had sharpened.
"What the hell are you getting by keeping me here? Do you think I’m someone you can bully?!"
His voice rose, just as his chest heaved.
There was unmistakable anger in his voice.
Meanwhile, Kaiser’s reaction was a disappointed shake of his head.
"Not enough. I don’t have time to wait till midnight."
Kiera remained silent, standing behind him. If possible, she didn’t want to get involved in this case.
Logan’s weird, nauseating smell already disgusted her.
Kaiser took a step forward, raising his hand and showing two fingers.
"You won a fight. You lost another. How did it feel losing to Gaga? Tell me."
There was a flat, sadistic smile on his face.
Logan’s expression darkened further, and he clenched his fists angrily.
"You..."
No clear sentence came from his mouth, but the air around them felt heavy.
Kaiser’s smile widened, and he took another step forward.
"You received thirty eight blows from Alexander, then a few heart-crushing blows from Gaga."
His gaze contained a hint of ridicule.
"You dare..."
Logan finally snapped, angered for no apparent reason. Kaiser’s words were insulting, nothing more. However, they had irked Logan greatly.
Just as he took a step forward to face Kaiser, his body ached.
"Agh?!"
A sharp jolt of pain was sent through his body, and he stumbled.
Kiera’s expression grew serious.
"It’s happening."
"W-what the...?" Logan gasped, feeling his blood boil.
His eyes ached, and so did his jaw.
The next moment, he could hear his bone creaking and snapping into place, as though his skeletal structure were being rewritten.
"Argh!"
He collapsed to his knees, clawing at the ground as his modest nails elongated into sharp black claws that left scratch marks.
"Argggg..."
His voice had changed, becoming less human and more beastly.
Suddenly, he froze. The transformation paused, and then accelerated.
His body increased in size, directly tearing apart the clothes he had worn.
Glittery silver fur spread along his skin, covering him entirely as his figure transformed into that of a large wolf.
"By the gods..."
Kiera gasped, staring at the lycanthrope standing right before her.
Logan had transformed into a lycanthrope, with yellow eyes and silver fur. Even on all fours, he was almost as tall as Kiera.
Under the dim lighting, he looked ethereal and deadly.
"Grrr..."
A low growl escaped his throat as he turned his head towards them.
Kaiser remained relaxed, then looked at Kiera.
"That’s your cue. He’s yours to take."
The girl took a quick step back.
"W-what? No way! I’m definitely not fighting... that."
Kaiser didn’t say a word, but the look in his eyes made her tremble.
’Ah...’
Kiera’s heart sank, and she took another look at the lycanthrope.
He was already moving towards them, his back hunched.
There was no hint of recognition in those eyes, and it looked like he was seriously craving some flesh.
Gritting her teeth, she took a few steps forward, placing herself between Kaiser and Logan.
’It seems my limiter has been deactivated since the moment we entered this room. I really have to give it my all.’
Curling her fists, she summoned her gauntlets.
