Eternal Emerald Dragon

Chapter 973 - 972 - Becoming a Teacher Again

Chapter 973 - 972 - Becoming a Teacher Again

After some further experiments, both Delenn and Lind now found their meridians and dantians working better than before. The lack of a need to refill the bracelet lifted another burden from him.

He then studied the wards to learn from them. Law Bindings were a weak point as he only had the former Fiend one setup he had been forced to live in for a time.

He made some progress but it was not going as fast as his other projects.

He was able to add his harmonic Qi to the defenses without altering anything. It allowed the tainted Qi to finally be completely removed from their rooms. He let it go on for about a week before he found some issues.

No matter how his improvements seemed better, the Law Bindings would reassert themselves. It became clear that he could not alter a Law Binding even as a Crystal Tier expert with 3 professions closely tied to Laws as well.

Still, he could create an environment conducive to helping the young children with them.

As such, he transformed a large room where it was clear meetings were to be held or just a large gathering into a classroom.

The 2 human girls were well into the Soul Realm but he had them hold off on progress during the journey. Part of that was safety and the other was simply the need to help them fix their bodies and foundations.

The demonic children were different. The majority were in the Body Refining Realm with only a few at the 1st Tier of the Demon Soul Realm. They were very far behind by the standards he expected in the Celestial Fields but Delenn assured him poor villagers would be worse than mortal realms!

It was also likely that the slavers or the organization behind them specifically targeted such cultivators to make it easier to dominate them. The lower the realm, the easier to guide the cultivator on the path an owner wanted.

The girls gathered and looked nervous but he smiled as he stood at the head of the room.

"I am not going to hurt any of you. Today is just about seeing where you are now that you have rested and had a chance to truly relax." They all seemed to fidget but Sorcha and Belia smiled and stood up in front of him.

They began to demonstrate their elements and the technique. Nothing was hidden and while it was not helpful to the demons' cultivation, it did help them relax.

The 2 human girls had become close friends with them all.

The next few days were spent simply letting get comfortable showing him what they could do but aside from the 2 sisters, the demons were very basic. The Body Refining Realm technique was essentially physical training or combat.

The Frey Clan in the Lotus Empire was frankly head and shoulders above them.

He also found much better techniques later so he had all of them work on the new Body Refining Realm techniques. They had to disperse their current progress in the case of the demons but they lost little.

Sorcha and Belia could not do that so easily but he still had them do it. Falling from the Soul Realm back to the Body Refining Realm was not too difficult and they would not lose their elements.

Essentially, the foundation was allowed to fall apart intentionally. Under the guidance of an Immortal, there was no danger of Qi deviation.

There was another reason he had them disperse their cultivation. He had discovered it by accident but the danger of harmonic tempering vanished if there was no cultivation!

Spirits had no cultivation when they were born and he discovered he could purify them with tempering without much issue!

His harmony also stunned him when it came to demons!

Both he and Delenn had to endure incredible pain, but the demons felt nothing!

So long as their cultivation was dispersed, it was very easy to temper their bodies against the tainted Qi!

Sorcha and Belia were a very different matter. They were humans to start with and had been in the Soul Realm for some years. Dispersing took a delicate month to pull off and then he found that their cores hindered the tempering despite going inactive.

Even so, compared to what he and Delenn endured, they merely had severe fevers and tremors they easily overcame with pills and elixirs.

Once that was done, all of them were shocked at how much better they felt! Their auras did not exist yet but they swiftly advanced to the peak of the Body Refining Realm under his tutelage.

It was a solid 3 months after they arrived that a mass breakthrough to the Soul Realm happened. He had guided them and it went far better than expected.

The majority were dual elemental cultivators but a few had tri-elemental dantians when it was all over.

Sorcha and Belia were shocked that Lind could use demonic elements as easily as natural.

Another unexpected side effect happened when Sorcha and Belia stabilized at the 1st Tier of the Soul Realm once more.

"Divine Cores?!" Sorcha was shocked!

Her light and air cores had transformed for some reason to the best cores one could hope for. Belia's light and earth cores did the same!

Lind could only guess that tempering their bodies was the cause but like so much else, more data was needed.

"They are stable and already above your foundation. We will need to take care in advancing your foundation to get everything back in sync but neither of you should present difficulties." Lind smiled as he mixed elixirs for both of them.

Inside the modified wards, his own professions could advance but it was still limited in scope until he could make better tools.

The sisters were excited as they felt as light as a feather!

"How have you cured the Corruption, Teacher?" They no longer tried to call him master but teacher was more than acceptable.

"You are not cured. Your bodies have incorporated a tempering technique that allows your meridians and dantian to refine Qi while removing the taint on it. It may need additional sessions, but we will monitor that as we progress." That much was true as he was unsure if the taint would return as they progressed.

As he spoke to them, the oldest demon child at 13 came up and looked serious.

"Great Lord, my shadow core feels odd." She had hair that shimmered with silver but mostly black. Her lavender skin was also very dark but her eyes were almost violently blue. He examined her core and found it was more advanced than the others.

"You need to focus on your blue fire and poison cores for now. Tempering cores can cause an imbalance if you resonate with one element more than others. Here." He showed her how to let the shadow core rest and only work on the other 2.

He enjoyed his time as a teacher once more. He had been a Sect Master and an Emperor but he truly enjoyed teaching. Guiding the young forward was rewarding as he also learned a lot in his current circumstances.

The terrifying speed of advancement once their bodies were tempered actually matched what Delenn recalled.

Compared to a mortal realm that took 6 to 9 years to go through the Body Refining Realm, the Celestial Fields did the same in months!

With a decent technique, any cultivator would reach the Soul Realm before they were 9!

His elemental theories allowed them to advance in less than a month! After they consolidated their foundation in the Soul Realm, they advanced to Tier 3 in weeks!

After 3 months at the suite, a new figure loitered around the entrance. It was not an employee but Lind noticed they were not bothered either.

He had a shaved head and a golden palm on his right breast.

The yellow robes were also made of gold thread too so he did not need anyone to tell him who the messenger was from but he wondered why they were patiently waiting.

The Midas Throne Consortium had all the power so even the Golden Vermillion Inn could not deny them. Why the patient waiting game?

"What do you think, Master?" Delenn stood next to him as they observed the young man calmly standing outside the mists. He had not moved for 2 weeks at that point.

"They respect you but are making it clear they want to talk to you. Even before I was sent away, a triple Maester would be sought out by my father yet he would tread carefully. You are very rare." He was surprised at her words but the next ones floored him. "To my knowledge, no one has been a triple Maester of the derivative professions in living memory."

That was at least an epoch!

"I will meet with them then but we will not leave this place for a year. I want to complete my experiments and it will take at least that long." He did not reveal what he knew of the Fiend but he saw an opportunity to learn from this messenger.

She nodded and donned the black cloak. It was time to meet the messenger and the greater world.
