Eternal Emerald Dragon

Chapter 974 - 973 - Mistake

Chapter 974 - 973 - Mistake

Allen was sweating in his robes. He had not realized his efficient discovery of a Triple Maester would result in a turf war between 2 Midas Throne administrators.

Worse, the Maester in question was currently able to avoid being bothered by lower level messengers due to saving the daughter of the owner of the Golden Vermillion Inn!

Allen had also confirmed not a single charge was assessed to the Maester either!

All in all, even the 2 administrators were rather stuck as the Golden Vermillion Inn, despite being primarily a business, was an ancient force supported by an unknown organization. All that was known was that any Crystal Tier that tried to cause issues with them died instantly.

Further, no Fiend or demonic force ever dared attack them in the long history kept for the last epoch.

Such a thing made everyone very afraid to cross them!

When the Fiends became too annoying, it was rumored a Golden Vermillion Inn would temporarily close and the Fiends would suffer horrific defeats!

The only kind of power that had such an ability were aether beasts of divine bloodlines!

Considering the design of the inns, many guessed the nature of their bloodline. Their power was never questioned at all!

Allen was about to try to get attention when the mists began to clear. A figure in a black cloak stood at the door of the Oberon Suite.

"What does a regulator of Midas Throne want with my Lord?" He felt all the blood drain from his face. They knew what he was on sight? While knowing he was from Midas Throne was fine, knowing his specific rank was a hint of a high or supreme level power!

Only someone raised by them would have enough exposure or knowledge to appraise someone like him on sight.

"I have actually been sent on behalf of 2 administrators. The local Kun City one and another I am not allowed to reveal in the open like this." The courtyard was very secure but it was still an inn!

He saw the hood twitch before bowing and turning around.

"Follow me, but do not interfere or comment on anything you see." Allen swore an Oath in that instant to that effect.

No matter what, offending a Triple Maester was at the bottom of his list of acceptable actions! Senior Bernard would skin him alive if he did that!

The mists closed behind him and once he crossed the threshold, his jaw dropped!

He saw 6 demons cultivating but what stunned him was their auras! It was well known by the present standards that Soul Realms of any race would struggle to advance and have very unstable auras.

The children in front of him were a bit late in reaching the Demon Soul Realm but their auras matched their realms!

How was that possible?!

He then saw a rather pretty young human girl who was nearly at the peak of the Soul Ream in the same state! What was going on in this suite?!

He had already made the Oath, so he could say nothing but he desperately wanted to know if he could benefit!

They walked to an area Allen was more than familiar with in Kun City, the work area of experts!

Inside, a man with emerald hair was cultivating but Allen was shocked to feel the power of a Crystal Tier without any issues!

It was the same as the Soul Realms but the difference was like night and day! The Soul Realms were stable but clearly still slow to advance, but the power in front of him dwarfed anyone he had ever met!

He glanced at his guide but their cloak hid everything from his senses.

"It is rude to try to pierce the secrets of a cultivator is it not?" He jumped as the man spoke. Despite his expertise, he seemed so young!

Immortals nearly took 3000 years to be born if they were lucky! A lot of Heaven Realms died long before they could even get to the Sun Tier let alone the Immortal Realm!

"Apologies, senior, I was simply caught off guard by–" Allen tried to excuse himself but the black cloaked person kicked him in the stomach!

He tumbled through the air but before he could slam into the dark wooden wall, his body froze in place a few centimeters from the surface.

"While he was rude, it was not unexpected." The Maester had caught him so expertly but Allen could not sense any Qi at all! How was he doing that?!

He then felt warmth flood his body as it was healed of any injury.

He then felt a sharp glare from the Maester but likely it was just his imagination.

"Come, I will hear out your request." The trio walked through the suite to a sitting room with an already steaming tea set. Allen wondered how that was possible when he saw no signs of communication jade stones being used.

Another young human girl was setting out a tray of sweets but then he realized all the reports stated not a single person had left the Oberon Suite in months!

Where had the food come from?! He did not recognize the sweets that were circular in shape and had dark spots on them. They were warm so they had been freshly made.

"Ah, Belia, you really like these?" The Maester became relaxed speaking to the young girl. She nodded and blushed but he patted her head like a doting father! Allen felt a twinge of jealousy as his own master was very cold.

It was normal for masters to be harsh on their disciples but some were like the Maester in front of him.

"Go join Sorcha with the other girls. I want you to try and see if they made any progress on the project I gave them last time." She bowed and left the room. The instant the door was slid closed, an isolation ward activated.

Again, Allen felt no Qi! How was the Maester doing that?!

The tea was amazing. He felt like the small white porcelain cup held an elixir rather than tea with how his mind calmed down and his body felt better than it had in centuries.

He smelled a subtle presence of lemon but could not identify the rest of it. The taste was not lemon at all either.

"So, what does Midas Throne want with me?" The Maester reminded Allen it was not a social call. He also felt like the Maester was colder than before. His assistant also stood near the door without joining them for tea and sweets.

"Ahem, my senior, the Administrator Bernard, has received a request from one of our other members. She has specifically sought out a weaver of your caliber for some time so I am here to explain her offer." Allen went through his prepared speech but began to sweat again as he realized the Maester was just staring at him like a but!

What had he done?!

"I see. However, I am well aware there are weavers of similar or more impressive skill than me. So why me?" It was a legitimate question but a new cold sweat broke out on Allen.

"Uh, well, I apologize but it seems the other administrator knows about your ability to use both natural and demonic Qi in your weaving. The sigils are drastically different–" A powerful aura washed over him from the assistant once more but it was quickly dispelled by the Maester.

"My use of weaving was in public and anyone with decent artifacts to detect it would notice that. Still, that is odd that someone from another place so quickly zeroed in on me. Further, why would anyone need a cultivator able to use both sets of elements? Even with such a skill, they do not cooperate with each other." The Maester was correct but Allen had no answer.

He was also not feeling well. Something was wrong!

"Forgive me, Lord Maester but I am not feeling too well. I can leave a communication jade stone–" He had produced the stone Senior Bernard gave him but it shattered from emerald lightning!

"The reason you are not feeling well is because I have been slowly isolating your connection to the Fiend. The loss of the flow of soul power is like coming off a drug that is addictive. You made an error in trying to deceive me, thrall." All blood drained from Allen's face!

He tried to summon a dagger from his bracelet but it did not work! Why was there no feeling of Qi at all when they did that?!

"You seem woefully ignorant of how Laws work. Many cultivators mistake that Laws are only able to be manipulated by Qi but that is far from true. Cultivation unlocks our ability to manipulate Laws truly, but after that you can apply them to your Dao. In other words, I used the Laws of Space to seal anything with a Fiend signature." He saw the Maester's eyes become vertical slits as more emerald Qi began to fill the room.

"G–Great Maester. I assure you I do not work for such a vile–" That time a claw swiped out and slammed him into the ground. A dragon! The Maester was a dragon!

"Your Fiend is not aware of the terror of me. It allowed me to take advantage of their overconfidence. You have tried several times to infuse Fiend Qi but likely found it did not work inside this place. Now, it is time for some answers." Allen felt terror grip his heart as nothing he tried worked!

What was going on? How could any cultivator use Laws to stop his Qi from working let alone his connection to his Mistress?!

"Oh and by the way, your Fiend cannot reach you any longer so even their wish to consume you will fail. Abandon all hope." Allen wept and saw no mercy in the dragon's face! He knew the next few moments would be the worst of his life!
