[What is this?! Why is the tribulation not over? You are a divine beast so it should be over!!]
Lind sneered but had no time to spare as shapes began to form in the clouds. Unlike previously, his tribulation was about his Immortal journey and the quality of his Laws. The better the quality, the farther an Immortal could face and improve their foundation.
A 3 round Immortal tribulation would get them to the Shard Tier but then it would be the end. Lind, being a Divine Dragon, had a relatively easy ride on top of Heaven being angry at the Divine Will.
A karmic criminal of average level was punished harshly but a Divine sinner was severely punished far beyond anyone's conception.
Obliteration was not out of question but Lind did not know how an actual Divine Realm would be punished.
He had not time to ponder as the dragons began to appear. It was not what he expected.
There were 3 dragons. One of natural elements, one of demonic elements, and finally a Celestial dragon! All 4 were kilometers long and filled the sky!
The Divine Will felt terror just looking at them. His memory finally placed what he was seeing.
[A progenitor tribulation! You are a Divine Progenitor?!]
Even the most powerful Divine Realm would run screaming from such a tribulation no matter the level! Heaven and Earth put the progenitors through harsh tribulations that made the worst 9th round bolts tame as a kitten!
A Divine Progenitor was nearly unheard of because they usually died!
Why were there 3 dragons? He recognized the natural and demonic elements easily enough but the third one was not Fiend Qi. It was something else that actually made him feel ashamed to look at!
He was not worthy!
The 3 lightning dragons parted and in the middle a 4th appeared! It was an emerald dragon that dwarfed the other 3!
Lind felt sweat break out as he knew it was coming but the feeling was terrifying. The dragons all looked right at him and began to dive down.
The natural Qi reached him first, shattering the mountain wide open entirely! The Divine Will screamed in pain but neither had time to settle anything.
Lind felt the lightning course through his meridians and his already damaged body screamed at him.
The 6 elements traveled to his dantian before surrounding the new shard in it. It was far larger but had no defined shape yet.
As he barely held on, the dragon attacked the shard but his harmony flared to fight back! He ripped it apart and watched as the shard solidified into a much larger shape with 7 panels once more!
It took up about a third of his dantian! That was larger than anyone he had ever heard of! At most it should have been maybe a quarter of it!
The dragon screamed but the elements were engraved one to a panel. The emerald panel flared and the tension finally left him.
[What kind of monster are you?] The Divine Will had seen it all but was left in shock. No progenitor tribulation should have ended with the avatar being ripped apart! Yet, he had seen that very act!
The demonic dragon came next and its power was far more terrifying. Lind's eyes narrowed as he understood. He had made a precarious balance but had only truly mastered the demonic elements since he ascended to the Immortal Realm.
The already broken mountain now had the damage spread like a disease releasing a torrent of Qi and Laws into the air.
If any cultivators had been nearby, they would have exploded from the far too potent level of both!
Lind felt his own body strain but his tribulation actually protected him.
The violet lightning dragon screeched at him as it caused blood vessels to burst along his limbs. He was not prepared and his body was starting to fail!
Still, he held on as his harmony and the natural elements worked in sync to tear the demon asunder! Compared to before, the battle seemed to last for eternity. Each element resisted but slowly joined their counterparts on each panel.
The power was far above the sliver tier. Lind collapsed but was alive, yet 2 dragons remained!
He looked up and the golden dragon of Celestial Qi sneered at him but he slowly stood up.
"COME ON! LET'S DO IT!" It vanished from both their senses before he was slammed out of the sea of Qi and Laws. The damage range was wiped from existence at that moment, exposing the Divine Will to the world!
The natural and demonic Qi had only been able to shatter it and spread it about half the distance, but Celestial Qi was above both combined!
His arms burst open followed by his legs. His head felt like it would burst but his emerald eyes glowed and forced his Qi to move! He churned both natural and demonic Qi but now he could only use conjurings to fight.
The Celestial Qi was too much for him! He had barely scratched the surface of if but Hope had taught him enough. Rather than try to use it like the other 2, he manipulated the world around it!
The world was bent to his will and forced the Celestial Qi to go around it. The more it tried, the weaker its own bonds got as the demonic and natural Qi counterparts shredded it.
To anyone watching, it was like the golden lighting was peeled like an onion and diced up until nothing remained! The Divine Will was no longer angry and could not protect itself any longer, but it did not care.
It began to understand how little it grasped despite getting so far.
An Immortal ant knew more about Heaven and Earth than any Divine Realm cultivator it had ever met!
A bloody and now naked mess lay at the bottom of the hole created by the 3 dragons. He still lived!
His breath was shallow but it was not over. The black clouds rumbled as the emerald lightning dragon looked down on them.
It was only then that both felt the presence of other Immortals. Time had gotten away from them but the pressure spiked above to draw them back.
The emerald lightning dragon shot down and directly entered his dantian. Unlike the previous 3, there was nothing to pull apart or stop it. The 18 elements began to shine like the sun on the newly made shard before a storm.
The emerald lightning dragon road and now Lind's body began to break down. He was dying yet forced his shard to grasp the invader. He began to relive his revelations on the ship about his harmony and the 7th panel began to send out a dragon of its own!
His dragon body in ephemeral form snapped out with its massive jaws and 3 horns to tear the lightning apart! It ate it!
The lightning dragon fought back but the ephemeral dragon was constantly healed until it won!
Lind barely felt his body but the clouds were not gone! If there was more to the tribulation he would not survive anymore.
The power built and the Divine Will realized something horrifying was coming. The sparks of lightning began to gather but rather than hit Lind, it manifested a massive dragon that was different from the others.
It was not just lightning but a dragon with wings and 4 limbs but it looked down on them and the Divine Will was forced to return to his original form before slamming into the ground.
[D-divine Lo–] He tried to speak but a bolt of lightning speared through his body!
[You are no more. The chosen candidate has proven his worth. The Karmic Tribulation has been decided.] The voice rattled the Divine Will but its body fractured and began to evaporate!
[NO! I can live again! I have time!] It was anticlimactic as the massive tortoise was falling apart before all that could see it but the giant dragon of all colors slowly settled next to the nearly dead Lind.
[Normally, you would face a Karmic Tribulation at this point but you chose to take a sinner with you. You saved an innocent as well with your Divine Authority. Rise, Shard Tier junior and be proud as the True Lord of this realm.] Lind barely registered it but his shard lit up completely as a soothing energy flowed over him.
His body that was ravaged not only healed but was reborn! The power skyrocketed as the newly created cells replaced the old. His meridians were transformed to handle all 18 elements at once!
His once tan skin gained a slightly gold tint but it faded as his emerald scales began to appear as he became his dragon form.
His body, once so massive beyond belief, was refined and made more efficient. He now only stretched 9 kilometers but the power in that body made all that saw it tremble.
"ROOOAAAAARRRR!!!!" The black clouds were scattered instantly as the entire realm felt the birth of Shard Tier Lind Frey. Ilyria was with the crowd crying as she saw her Uncle flying in the sky as the Heavens rejoiced.
All cultivators felt their foundations improve and many bottlenecks loosened but those at the sight saw a shocking scene.
Emerald flames blazed across the former crystalline mountain range until each unearth area was set ablaze. A few moments later the ground shook as a forest sprang up! Profound plants rose up like weeds! Trees that towered into the sky with bushes, grass, flowers, and all manner of plant replaced the once dead lands.
How could a single being do such a thing even at the Shard Tier?!
Only Ilyria knew Lind had done it because the massive release of dense Qi and Laws needed to be safely absorbed or it would be a threat to any that got closer.
He circled one last time before diving into the trees. Many wanted to go to him but none dared. They sent messages to the few powers that they were connected to but most were itinerant cultivators.
Ilyria quietly used a stealth technique to slip into the new forest and headed straight to the feeling of blood resonance. Their journey had not gone as expected but it was far from over.
