Chapter 900 - 899 - Divine Guardian's Final Wish
Chapter 900 - 899 - Divine Guardian's Final Wish
Lind had been isolated and unable to hear anything or move in the hatchway of the ship. Such power had been felt before long ago in Lord Skinwalker's Inheritance. Dierdra had pinned him with nothing more than a stare.
His life and death was entirely in her hands at the time but unlike then, his skin was crawling from the aura holding him in place.
He quickly discovered that his Qi was essentially inert and nothing answered his call, not even Haro! The kind of power to restrict Haro was not possible in the Celestial Fields but there it was!
He tried using his Talents and finally had some hope as they worked! His Immortal Touch revealed he was being held in place but some kind of energy he had never encountered before. It would not budge a single centimeter no matter how much power he put into his Touch.
That left his Eyes but the expected pain did not come as he saw how fragile the strands reaching out from the mountain were. The tendrils were bright as the sun to his eyes but had little power compared to intensity it should have had.
He was also humbled how little of it it took to stop him.
He was able to see something dangerous reaching out to Ilyria in the crater. It was a weaving! It was far more powerful than any weaving he had ever encountered but his expertise allowed him to grasp it was an isolation ward and perception shift!
It was something to manipulate her mind!
Why? He could clearly feel the aura of a Divine Black Shelled Tortoise, so why would it have to deceive one of its descendants?
He did not understand but he trusted his instincts. They were screaming at him to resist.
Yet, it did not matter. He could not move, not even sweat, without permission from the giant aura coming from the crystalline mountain.
He closed his eyes and sank inside himself. He was inside his dantian that had the fractured sliver ready to grow at any time but it was stuck. The 18 elements on each panel were dim and no longer flowing as they should.
His meridians were stifled like they were dead. He was helpless!
He then saw the vibrant glow of emerald above! He quickly moved his senses to see the swirling flow of his harmony was unimpeded!
"Of course! Harmonies never rose this far! Divine Realm or not, he has no knowledge of how to fight it!" He had a weapon!
He began to focus only on his harmony. He had been studying the balance of all 18 elements with it for so long that he suddenly realized he had not focused solely on his harmony in a very long time.
The bottleneck that had held him back for so long became razor thin but that was not all. The harmonic crystal at the core of the ship began to resonate with him!
It could not be stopped either! Harmonic crystals were curiosities and of limited use before 6 elementals began their advance. While his contemporaries had begun to develop countermeasures, the harmonies themselves still frustrated them.
Cultivators could simulate any element but harmonies were unique to that class of cultivator alone. The rule had become that only another 6 elemental could truly match up to another.
That rule seemed to extend to the Divine Realm!
Lind pushed the resonance but all he accomplished was to shake the ship. The channels carrying power were creaking yet his own body remained frozen.
A way! There had to be a way!
Ilyria was falling into the weaving more and more but was powerless!
Break damn you, break now! Break open!
He screamed as his sliver to go over the precipice but the bottleneck still held!
His harmony was the key but he did not know why. The elements were flowing with Laws and he had deeply–
His thoughts froze. There was one Law he had not grasped!
One Law core to his existence that he never seemed to figure out but was with him since the day his dantian formed!
It had been a Living Law before but he had felt a profound change come over it. It had stepped beyond to another level. He knew its effects but he could never bring it all together.
[Try, Lind Frey. Try for me.] A voice he had not heard in a very long time suddenly thundered in his head.
He did not feel a quiver inside his soul so she had to be somewhere else and he quickly guessed where.
[Senior, you are with your daughter?] He felt an affirmative feeling but then anger.
[I had hoped it died. I could not tell you because you were too weak but now you are here. This is not a Ruin or Relic, but it is a Divine Will left behind by a broken Inheritance. He wants to be worshiped but more than that, he is raising us like cattle to be his new body.] Anger spiked in his soul at that. Again, why again?!
[It is not as vile as what you have faced but his methods are. It is sometimes an honor to sacrifice for the ancestor to live again but it should be willing. He does not want to wait. The body, such as it is, cannot contain him for long as he measures time. I was to be his vessel but I fell in love.] Lind could piece the rest together. He looked at the crater and could see with his Eyes the flicker of her soul.
It was different from the living souls of Immortals but it had more substance than spiritual Qi.
[You can break free per the rules of Heaven if you breakthrough. It is your only chance. I will give you a moment and he will be distracted. He will not be able to stop you but you have to grasp it. I have faith in you, Lind Frey.] Her presence faded before shattering the weaving around Ilyria.
The pressure vanished at last and the final step came to him. His harmony was an Immortal Law! It had progressed to the next stage. It restored, balanced, and bound all elements. It also defied vile creatures.
Those that went against the Laws of Heaven and Earth were anathema to it!
Blinding light spread in his dantian as the ship's power channels and core shattered. The ship began to fall but Lind preceded it.
The tribulation began to gather and he felt the joy of heaven but then the rage. The Divine Will was not where it was supposed to be! It was exposed! The first round of tribulation was normal Immortal Lightning of 9 bolts but he slammed it all into the mountain to expose the interior.
How many more bastards were like this? How many more would he have to face before the message got through that it was unacceptable?!
He felt the DIvine Will try to escape to Ilyria but he would not allow it.
[Heaven grant me this wish. She is my niece by love and bond. Let it now be blood!] The clouds rumbled before a shaft of golden and emerald light slammed into her. His blood boiled and resonated as he could suddenly feel the connection between them!
He was not sure what all the results would be but he had no time as his sliver began to grow!
[Senior, your final wish is fulfilled. Thank you, now it is time for me to punish the sinner!] He leapt his bleeding body at the crack and vanished inside! It was further insurance as he ordered Ilyria to run.
[YOU CANNOT DO THIS TO ME ANT! YOU WILL INVOKE THE WRATH OF HEAVEN AND MY CLAN!] A voice boomed and he could finally see it.
Laced in the crystalline structure was a soul! A massive and powerful soul that was like gold to his Eyes.
[An old friend made a request and Heaven granted it. Also, I have faced the Wrath of Heaven before. Let's dance.] Lind sneered as pressure built above. The clouds were spreading rapidly across the sky as power built.
More, across the entire Celestial Realm, all the Immortals turned north, east, or west based on their position as they felt Heaven acting oddly. A tribulation would draw attention but not across the entire realm!
At the very heart of the realm, a Clan was celebrating suddenly. Their founder was breaking through! The Frey Clan was a giant party as his wives prayed for his success.
The Temples of Fire and Souls were shocked as their True Lord was becoming a Shard Tier already! Such speed was insane!
Lind, at the star like interior of the crystalline mountains felt the power finally reach the breaking point.
The first round had been used entirely but he would not have to worry about the next one at all. The first part of his tribulation was more of a show of joy in any other circumstance but now the Heavens were angry.
A rule breaker had been found!
Blue lightning smashed at 9 different points and cracked more mountains. It was followed over the next few days by gold, black, crimson, violet, orange, and finally emerald ripped open cracks all over.
The Divine Will fought back and tried to heal but the Qi was running wild as Heavenly Laws invaded at all sides! The initial part was over but the Divine Will thought he was safe.
[An impressive tribulation but that will be–] The rumble of the skies shocked it before the feeling of danger finally came to Lind. His easy part was over and now both of them would face the tribulation of a progenitor!
