Eternal Emerald Dragon

Chapter 778 - 777 - Preparations

Chapter 778 - 777 - Preparations

The tumultuous end to the Molten Sect issue left many in awe of the Sanctuary Empire's response and a little fearful for the future.

If the Heaven Realm 6 elementals were so powerful at the moment, what would they be in the future?

Lind finally relaxed in his courtyard.  He had felt under pressure despite how he may have seemed to the 3 Immortals.  He may be able to put out a lot of pressure but he was still far more susceptible to theirs.  Also, he felt a massive strain to pull off that little trick.

In other words, if felt like a real threat but he had about as much power as a mouse if he tried to do something fancy.

He chose to draw a bath and relax after all of that but his desire to be alone was short lived.

"Oh ho, did you think you could sneak by me?"  Shoti swayed into view but instead of her normal battle dress, it was instead a simple robe tied with a sash.  It was also damned short!

Lind knew he had the ability to speak but for the life of him, he could not put a coherent thought together.  He was sure he should stand upright but his body was frozen in place.

His heart was thundering in his ears and he was fairly certain a sweat had broken out on his brow.

"My. my.  After all these centuries, you are still so smitten with little old me?"  After that things became a blur but he was very relaxed afterwards.

Shoti held Lind close.  He always surprised her but he worked too hard.  They always had to catch him off guard to really disconnect from his responsibilities.  She smirked at the fact they were trying to make more babies when their children were barely grown but they just felt that pull to him.

After he came back from the Law Binding, and recovered from the Heart Demon, they saw how much he put into his duties.  He worked hard and put his family and subjects over himself.

They had been happy when he chose to go on the journey to make progress on his own cultivation as he had not done in a long time.

After he got back, there had been the crisis of the Molten Sect and he informed them it was his fault.  So he cleaned up after himself and made a large reveal about the true power of their armies.

Now, other supreme and high powers would be far less likely to give them trouble.  In fact, her own networks had a virtual storm of requests being sent out to all spies, allies and anyone that gave some clues on how Heaven Realms could be so strong!

It was only the 6 elementals that could pull that particular trick off but few would believe that until they exhausted other possibilities they might be able to replicate.

She drank in the sight of his sleeping face as he gently breathed next to her.  His body was a temptation at the best of times but right now she simply felt flush taking in his muscles and powerful body.

Yet the thing she loved most was hidden, his eyes.

She still recalled that day so long ago in the simple Tri-Clan Tournament in the Southern District of the Lotus Empire.  A young teenager looked at her in the eyes as an equal and gave frank advice.

He believed in her skill more than her tricks.  Those dark green eyes never looked away from her and she felt her heart skip a beat but had dismissed it as just being caught off guard.  The memory lingered.

Then later they met up randomly at the auction and he trusted her to help him safeguard his secret as an elixir master.  He then connected with Qing where few could which proved he was vastly different from many men.

She could not let him slip away after that.

The wild journey that followed was far beyond anything she imagined.  She never thought she would get much farther than the Sky Realm!

Now she was an Immortal!

"You never gave up, my love."  She traced his jaw but then a rude interruption came.  It was a glow from her bracelet she quickly subdued.

[What?!]  She did not care who was on the other end as they were interrupting her personal time with Lind.  If it was an emergency, it would reach them both so it was clearly only for her!

[Oh?  You are so short with me, Shoti?]  The cold voice of Cyntilla came through.  Crap!  She was pregnant too so she lorded it over them!  Shoti scrunched up her face and pinched her nose before taking a breath.

[You know I am with Lind so what did you expect?]  She was much calmer but she felt the amusement come through the jade stone.

[I would assume after 3 days you were tired out or taking a break at least.]  Shoti froze.  They were at it for 3 days!  She looked in concern at Lind.  That was not good.

[Cyntialla, I did not notice but he only just fell asleep.]  A long pause came before she got an answer.

[I talked to the others, we will address this.  He is pushing himself too hard and his tribulation is soon.  He has Lysanna and Ethry preparing that strange area in the desert.]  Shoti sighed before stroking his head.

He actually nuzzled into it!  So cute!

[How bad is it?]  He would not normally ask for more accommodations unless he had a damn good reason.

[I only know Romana is on her way with Bren coming too.  It also seems like a demon is on his way to coordinate some forces with them.  He is not taking any chances and expects it to be massive.]  Considering his previous tribulations, it was prudent.

He never took the usual path and even when a simple variant showed up in theirs, he easily surpassed them.  Ethry's had been the one they paid the most attention to since he was also a dragon.

Yet now he was clearly preparing for a monster of a tribulation.

She hugged him hard but he kept sleeping.  He had to have been so tired!  He did that everytime he got close to the next step!  It was a very bad habit!

"We are all here for you too, Lind.  Don't keep carrying all of it on your own."  She whispered the words but felt like his face relaxed even more in his sleep.

[I will stay with him until he wakes.  Can you make sure the brats get some time with him too for fun, not training,]  Her kids were precious to her but they were most definitely all brats!

He spoiled them too much!

She smirked as she felt affirmation in the contact.

[I will make sure to get preparations–]  Shoti sent a sharp reprimand to her.

[You will do no more work than allowed, sister!  I will rat you out to Firella if I have to!]  Actual fear came through the connection as they both knew the grandmothers took all of their pregnancies very seriously.  It was their grandchildren after all.

[Fine, then you will have to pick up some slack when you are free.  Annabelle will take over by the way.]  Shoti smirked at that last part.  Their innocent sister was the most amorous between them all!

She latched onto Lind with all her strength!

It was unfair how her body was manifested so wonderfully like that but she worked hard to keep it that way.

She felt the connection break and laid back down next to him.  His rest unbroken despite the fact he was likely aware on some level she had been in contact with someone.

It just showed how comfortable he was with her that he could relax even as something went on around him.

"If you were still awake I would demand more from you, husband."  She snuggled up next to him but then made a partial scream as his arm snaked around her like iron!

"..Shoti..good.."  He cracked open his eyes then smiled like an idiot as he pressed her up against him.  Her heart rate skyrocketed as that brief glimpse was so full of love that she could not bear it!

"What happens next is all your fault!"  It took very little to get Lind fully awake and their fun together resumed.

"Bothersome man, stop making us worry about you."  Cyntilla was currently lounging as she put a hand over her slightly bulging belly.  The first generation of kids were really close but it seemed the second would be all over.

Part of it was they were not in such a rush, but the other part was simply the rules working against them.  It was not so easy to impregnate an Immortal no matter how much they might want children.

It was impressive Lind could pull it off so quickly but Ethry affirmed it was likely the dragon blood behind that.  Dragon blood was extremely vital due to the difficulty of dragons procreating, so any other race that a male mated with had much higher chances.

She pushed the thoughts aside as she at least contacted who she had to for the preparations.  It would be better if they got a headstart on those.

"I swear, the man will be the death of us yet."  She smirked as she spoke and laid back.  Shoti had not given an idle threat as her own daughter had threatened to get 'Gran' involved if she worked too hard!

Cyntilla smiled as she laid back and wondered what the future held for them all.
