Chapter 753 - 752 - Lind's Punishment
Chapter 753 - 752 - Lind's Punishment
Cyntilla enjoyed getting stronger. She reveled in the feel of her muscles flowing with blood and power as her swords danced in the air. She had found 2 newly demon Forged swords at low grade 7.
They were perfect shortswords but more than anything, they were resonating with her sliver! She could feel the flow of Qi had changed in her dantian. It was not just quality but a presence of profound knowledge as well.
She understood she had to deepen her grasp of her Laws to advance as well as condense the very thin Immortal Qi in the air.
She examined her face in the mirror and saw no signs of corruption. The fear she had as she advanced had been that the likely formation of corruption would show up but her lavender skin was as flawless as always.
There were no distorted horns nor growths on her body anywhere. She knew it was not certain but very often demons would sprout growths as they breakthrough.
Kal was a far more refined version of that but his physique was the cause compared to demons getting them randomly. She knew of demons in the sect that had relatively small horns, claws, and even a partial tail on a few but whereas the Darkmor Kingdom and Blood Empire had the majority have such issues, the Moebius Sect never had.
In fact, she had heard of a few that broke through to the Star Tier that lost them!
It made her happy, but she wondered how it was chosen. Normally any demon with corruption followed the nomenclature of the old demon ancestors. Demon Soul Realm, Purgatory Realm, Nightfall Realm, Hell Realm, and Demonic Immortal Realm, but she was not following it.
Her mother did but did not push the matter, yet Cyntilla noticed Lind switched between them as an individual requested of him. Kal, for instance, refused to ever be related to them.
Her thoughts were interrupted as Tal came in. The young woman smiled wide at her as if she knew what Cyntilla was thinking about herself.
"One word and our next training session will make all the others a fond dream" Tal only smiled wider but hugged her tight. Cyntilla smiled as she returned it.
"Congratulations once more! I was looking for Papa but he seems to be missing. There are many envoys here to see you. I do not think we can keep them waiting." Cyntilla narrowed her virulent green eyes.
Lind would not leave without a reason but he knew she loathed this particular facet of her new station. As a leader of the sect, she had respect but was rarely bothered with the aspects Lysanna was in charge of. Now, as an Empress, she was expected to entertain and speak with fools who spoke for long amounts of time but said little of importance.
Many of them avoided the frontlines of battle and simply hoped to reap the benefits while staying safe. She hated them and they were gathering by the droves to see the secrets they might gather about breaking through to the Immortal Realm.
Tal looked down and frowned.
"You are going to wear this?" Cyntilla bristled but knew her leather and chainmail armor with 2 short swords at her hips was not exactly the image she should be projecting. She did have formal robes for back in the sect days but they were not good either.
Tal moved over to a rather sparse dark wood wardrobe. Cyntilla's quarters were relatively spartan but a few colorful decorations were there. All were gifts from Lind and Tal looked at her with a sly smile but said nothing.
It took only a glance to reveal that she had no true clothes appropriate to the current occasion.
"Hmmm, that doesn't seem like Papa to overlook this." Tal turned slowly to stare at her. Cyntilla suddenly found it difficult to look at her before she sighed and summoned a dress.
It was functional but still gorgeous. It had white, black, and loose skirt connected to a full bodice that would not impede her movements but was imprinted with 2 wolves on either side of it.
The bodice was a pale gold while each wolf was a version of black that could absorb all light. Her arms would be free and it would not choke off her throat but it would accentuate her body to an alarming degree!
Tal was actually in awe as she felt the aura on the dress was actually Forged! Lind had made that dress!
"Papa really loves you." She meant it as a compliment but Cyntilla blushed deeply as while her armor hugged her body, it felt far more comfortable than being put on display with that dress!
Still, it was lovely. She conceded that much but she did not want to wear it in public!
She then heard a tired sigh from Tal. She looked over to see Tal pointed at the hips.
"He left a spot for each sword! Honestly, he spoils you too much!" Cyntilla had missed that! She carefully examined the dress and realized if she infused her Qi into it, it would actually be stronger than her current armor!
She sighed and finally decided to put it on. She had to face the cold light of day but a spark was in her eyes.
"Lind will suffer for leaving me alone to face them in this!" Tal smirked as she began to help Cyntilla change as time was of the essence.

Lind and Annabelle finally returned to the castle but the banquet was in full swing. They were late.
"She is going to be mad at you." Annabelle looked concerned but Lind smiled and simply accepted he would have to pay for his tardiness. They swiftly made their way to their quarters and changed.
Lind now wore pale green robes with a massive dragon on his back. Protean was now at his hip and his hair tied back by a leather tong. He looked very handsome as he moved down the halls as Reyas saw him and nodded.
He then froze as she smiled in a way that told him he might be in a bit more trouble than he thought.
"Reyas, how is it going?" Her fiery hair seemed to shake a bit to show she had just giggled.
"My Lord, no one is dead yet but your newly Immortal wife requested you to join her on arrival." Her overly formal tone was just making him sweat more. Where was Annabelle, Qing, Shoti, or anyone? Why was he suddenly alone?
As if accepting his fate, he had her announce him and the massive room was full of various cultivators enjoying food, drink, and even dancing.
"All Hail Emperor Lind Frey of the Sanctuary Empire!" The room paused and then saw Lind enter. Cheers went up and the sea of people parted as if they had trained for it! A clear aisle opened and he felt his heart leap into his mouth!
A demon goddess was at the other end with her lavender skin made to stand out as the dress hugged her in all the right places with the wolves hugging her ribs.
She had her 2 swords on but it was hard to pick them out of the strips of color as he had planned. To anyone looking, they were just part of her calf length skirt.
He made his way to her but the smile on her face caused a cold sweat to flow down his back.
It was not the loving smile she gave him often upon waking up together but the smile she gave to her foes right before they realized they were already dead.
"Husband, we have missed you!" Lind pulled her into his embrace and kissed her. He felt her return his passion but they parted quickly. There was a spark of joy but a mouth sentence made him lose all hope. 'Nice try.'
"Ah, Emperor Frey! A good party you have here. I was just discussing with Empress Cyntilla here about setting up some trade meetings…" A boisterous old man, clearly more than a little drunk, was practically spitting food while outlining his business and how Cyntilla thought he would be interested.
It was the start of a storm as many loud, oblivious, and down right unstoppable people that wanted to explain in excruciating detail how Cyntilla setup meetings for him to personally attend.
Lind felt his eye twitch as the 17th group finally left him. He looked worn out and completely haggard. He was in a private room as merry music barely reached him.
"So, what have you learned?" Cyntilla was leaning against the doorway and looked so heavenly that Lind would found a cult to worship her if he could but at that moment she was most definitely an evil demoness!
"I am sorry I was late and will never let it happen again if I can!" His words made her eyes narrow but he held up both hands in defeat. "The big 4 were having a meeting about us and I did not want to be blindsided."
His words made her stand up straight.
Generations of cultivators were a little vague but if anyone used the reference 'big 4' it could only refer to a certain group. One of them was near the end but even so, his power remained.
"I can forgive being a bit tardy then but you will still be punished." Lind felt all hope drain away but then noticed she was sealing off the meeting room. What was she doing?
His mind was too numb from the pointless talks to piece it together until she was looming over him.
"Oh cra–" He did not get to finish speaking as streaks of light were flashing before his eyes and then his robes fell into pieces! He had made those robes!
The 2 short swords were then slammed point down into the floor on either side of his chair while a hungry look came over her eyes.
"You will obey and I will hear no complaints." Lind felt extreme threat but there was little he could do as the party went on without them. It would only be 3 days later that a very happy Empress Cyntilla would rejoin the banquet but Emperor Frey would be…indisposed.
