Chapter 734 - 733 - Cultivation Through Play
Chapter 734 - 733 - Cultivation Through Play
Lind slowly woke up and was stunned at what he saw. Soltara was meditating and her temple was in much better shape! Her vitality had also increased massively!
He had no idea what she had left now but compared to before it was a storm of life.
He very vaguely remembered what that strange connection had pulled off. He laughed derisively at himself.
"I am on the path but I can change it? My possible future self might disappear but these results won't? Even though you say that, was there any change from before? Was it simply a different point in time? How did I even reach it that time?" He was full of questions but the words remained.
He suspected his future version made it so but the kind of power needed to do that made him tremble. Divine Realms could not do that. He also now recalled that comfortable room when he faced his heart demons.
That version had felt beyond powerful and also cautious yet the most recent one actually controlled him for a short time.
Why? Did that show a difference or had he just not reached as far into the future as before? His head began to ache much like when George explained Back to the Future time travel compared to other series.
Really thinking about the consequences made him sweat, yet it remained true he could not stop the march of time.
He summoned a jade slip and began to imprint it with all he grasped about harmonies, his Law, and the rest. It was critical that he message his wives to begin Kexin and other powerful 6 elementals studying their harmonies in a new way.
Some may have already done it and not realized it!
He was making notations when he felt a pair of eyes looking at him but Soltara was still meditating. Who was looking at him?
He carefully spread his senses and found a very small cloud of Qi floating outside the doorway. He slowly stepped out and saw it was a brand new Soul Realm Elemental.
It was a baby!
The tiny cloud buzzed around him and examined the jade slip in his left hand as he slowly held it up. He smiled as he continued imprinting and let it watch.
[I am recording knowledge to give to others. I will teach them what I have discovered and hopefully help them. This glow you see is my Qi making patterns others can understand.] He saw the cloud pause and then vibrate.
A feeling of joy was perceived but that was all. Lind wondered how much it understood but he kept talking and began with the most basic knowledge of his cultivation.
It was simply to entertain but as he spoke, more joined. All were in the Soul or World Realm, but they danced around him as he used his Qi to demonstrate the balance for them.
With 6 sparks of each element floating with a flow of Qi going through them all, the Elementals gave joy, wonder, and also a thirst for more. They wove around the ring of Qi he made to represent cores then made fonts.
The streams of Qi actually created particles of sand but he had to keep maintaining it or they would scatter as it was not really a dantian.
Lind laughed as each group actually were drawn to their respective cultivation realm examples.
[Other cultivators can combine limited elements but they can still comprehend the Dao.] He then showed various combinations and how they worked.
It seemed to excite them and he then demonstrated examples of his Arts. Tiny sparks of lightning mixed with tornadoes and storms. He summoned stone and molded it into statues for various beasts and mythological creatures.
The show continued for quite a while until Lind was stunned that he saw them grow right in front of his eyes!
[Very good!] He passed on his praise and felt their happiness but then a sudden aura swept over. Lind reacted out of instinct and wove a barrier of demonic and natural Qi. It cracked but withstood the pressure by deflecting it away.
The various Elementals swirled around him looking for safety. His emerald Qi of his harmony calmed them down as he looked for the source and found several Heaven Realm Elementals looking on.
Their barely formed bodies were chaotic. Even without being close, he felt anger and hatred. Why? What had he done?
[Get away from them, human!] Lind narrowed his eyes but he sent a calming aura to the small Elementals around him.
"It is ok, I will be fine." He firmed up the barrier but then moved past it. The 4 Heaven Realms flew over barely retaining their shape.
[How dare you ensnare the young?! You will not take them!] It was very clear and concise compared to his usual contact with them but before he could answer, a much stronger aura flowed over.
[The Progenitor did not harm. Playful cultivation was good for all.] He recognized that voice!
It was the newly minted Immortal from the Law Binding! He bowed towards the source of the aura and all the Heaven Realms seemed to now be panicking.
[Isolated Senior! You are in danger!]
All 4 had the same thought and their panic was real. Lind looked at the barely solid body and it was still male but not as unstable as before.
[I feel the call to leave, but I am different. Your loss was not ours. The Progenitor restored our song.] Lind perked up at that. He suddenly understood that the Law Binding had been erected before the Desolate Song was attacked.
The norms held due to the focus of Suzen and the Soulmancers on gaining power. No Immortals aside from Suzen meant no need to attack the Elementals.
Their Soul Cores were intact! They had been preserved in the corpses of the dead! Lind had restored the flow of fresh spiritual and elemental Qi that they needed to let go!
He realized it was a smaller scale of what he was seeing around him. They chose different ways to preserve their path forward.
[Progenitor, thank you once again for calling Heaven down for us.] His words shocked the Heaven Realms who now looked at him in shock. Their gaseous forms rippled and barely held until they left quickly.
"You have strangely good timing. Do you have a name, senior?" He felt amusement as the barrier was lowered before the young Elementals swam over him in concern. He smiled and reassured them as best he could.
[Our names are a little different. I was Gorn, but now I am Balgorn.] Lind was confused until he pieced it together. Their names were from when they ascended to the new Soul Core!
He saw Balgorn nod as if reading his mind but it was a little difficult to focus as he began to giggle. The Elementals were tickling him!
[Some are from the Desolate Song. Many are from here. You are beloved among the young, Progenitor.] Lind's eyes narrowed.
"Soltara uses my name, why not you?" Balgorn stiffened but then shook his head.
[Inappropriate.] Lind felt amused at that answer.
"Will you need to make a temple like the others?" Balgorn nodded and felt sad.
[I am doing better than them thanks to the traitor and later your actions but the longer I am outside, the greater the call to rise. I will break apart if I do not make myself deaf.] Lind was sad about that as he wanted to show his Empire to his old friend.
"Let me help." Balgorn nodded and flew off to a space not far from Soltara's temple. He saw there were old crystalline foundations from a previous tenant long ago. He bowed low as Balgorn stood to the side.
He was unsure what the Elemental was doing but then the crystals began to sing. The small Elementals stayed far back as Lind watched in awe as new crystals began to form. He used his own Qi to help speed up the process but let Balgorn guide it
As he watched, he saw how the temple worked a bit but then Laws began to coalesce that he barely recognized them but were similar to what he had seen in the Law Core long ago.
There were far fewer, but still enough to shape the crystals. The temple took its shape and then a single doorway formed before a shimmering curtain appeared.
Balgorn looked dimmer but he was still standing strong.
[That was harder than I thought it would be. Your assistance was very useful.] Lind bowed as they entered. Unlike Soltara, there was no furniture evident. Lind quickly summoned a decent bed, mats, and a table.
He also summoned his own tea set that he used to his own power to heat and then serve as they relaxed.
[You are a good teacher, Progenitor. They love you and they have grown strong without issue thanks to you.] Lind nodded as he saw the small crowd poking their metaphorical heads at the door.
"Can they not come in?" Lind was curious but Balgorn firmly nodded.
[Once in, they can never leave nor advance. The Law had to be that strong.] Lind was curious why it did not affect him but then he realized their method was just that different.
"So, about your timing?" Lind led the conversation back to his original question and the Immortal merely shrugged.
[I escorted the young here safely and they felt you nearby. After that, I watched as they played and learned with you.] Lind narrowed his eyes but took the explanation at its face value.
"All right, then better question, why were those Heaven Realms so quick to jump to conclusions?" Soltara had told him but the envoys that came to summon him had been quite respectful.
So what was going on?
Balgorn slowly sipped at the tea in the white porcelain cup as it steamed. He sighed before a deep feeling of sadness came from him.
[The scars run deep here. The hatred is both not their own and yet it is. I will do what I can but the song remains broken. I will one day pass and hope a new one can take up the new song we will create.] Lind swallowed his tea in gulp as he stared at the man.
Did he just ask him to overcome racism in a single generation?!
