Eternal Emerald Dragon

Chapter 652 - 651 - Strange Feeling

Chapter 652 - 651 - Strange Feeling

Lind slowly opened his eyes and found he was still at the heart of the Desolate Song but it was vastly different.  The once filled horizon of floating crystals was empty!

There was only 1 left and he was right next to it!

He carefully sat up and felt his body was lighter than ever before.  He was also shocked to see faint flows of demonic Qi in his dantian!

He carefully examined the small burning sun at the heart of his dantian and smiled.  His 6th circle now felt much closer to him as the sun churned out demonic Qi at the Sun Tier!  He was not a demon at all but the sun could automatically refine it like natural Qi!

"The Furnace of Fate indeed."  The nickname of the Sun Tier was common but Lind only truly understood at that moment how true it was.  His future hinged on that little ball of emerald light and flame!

He could still feel his 6 elements at the heart of it but around that was another layer that made the demonic Qi possible!

He could never use it in Arts or anything else but it was part of him and more than enough for his professions!

"I will be starting from scratch on those processes."  He looked forward to seeing what he could do, but a thunderous crack took his full attention.

The mighty floating crystal, larger than his old dragon form, was breaking apart!  He backed away quickly as new crystal shards spread in all directions from where the large crystal used to be!

"Progenitor!  Thank you!"  Lind jumped once more as the living storm of Qi appeared behind him.  They needed a bell or something!

He was about to ask what he was being thanked for when he froze.

Beams of sunlight were turning deep red on the horizon as the sun moved across the sky!  Purples, blues, and reds filled as well in striking detail and beauty!  Clouds were much more vibrant and the twinkling of stars began to appear!

The Inner Garden was a false sky but it had been nice to see after so long without one, but it did not hold a candle to what Lind saw now.

The twilight sky was so potent that Lind wondered how anyone could not fight to keep it compared to that bland one from before.  The stars were like none he had ever seen before.  He narrowed his eyes and used his talents.

Qi!  It was stars of Qi!

They were various combinations of all 6 natural elements but he also spotted a few demonic ones as well!  They were rare but he could perceive them!

As he looked on, he suddenly felt like his Eyes could see far more than before!  The once vague impressions he had of Immortal Qi sharpened!  He instantly felt a headache and stopped his Talent but felt shocked.

His talent had broken through!  His Touch followed swiftly after as he could now affect Immortal Qi.  It took massive effort, but he could do it!

Immortal Eyes and Touch!

He also felt the long dormant Innate Cultivator Talent finally kick in.  He instinctively understood what to do to increase his sun!  He had struggled so much with his moon but now the sun was an open path!

It was still along one but he grasped it far better than the last tier!

"What happens now?"  Lind was not sure what to do with himself so he asked the Elemental but it seemed to not know either.

"The dead are finally returned to the cycle as we are meant to be.  I will be an ancestor soon thanks to your efforts.  We will remember this."  Lind was about to ask for clarity but then the world shifted back to his normal perspective.

He was still in the Desolate Song but the once many floating crystals were gone here as well.  The tiny shards were also greatly reduced!  He looked up into the sky and sensed what had happened.

"The Elementals are like the water cycle on worlds.  Evaporate, condense, and rain down.  In their case, they condense to cultivate, but then die.  The crystal corpses are meant to shatter and finally return to the flow of Qi."  The cycle had been broken like so much else but his actions had restored it.

At least to a point.  The tiny shards around him were not disappearing just yet.  He did note a few floating crystals were still on the horizon but likely they would break down soon.

The air felt so rich to him but he barely had time to absorb it all when his world went dark!

A soul crushing force was around his ribs when he finally recognized who it was.  His shock was in full as Lanbao had never, ever reacted so emotionally before.

Even when freed, she simply vented her anger yet retained full control of herself.

"L-l-lord Frey!  You gave it back!  You gave the Heaven Realm back to us!"  He was confused.  He knew the war had damaged the realm but all he had done was ask the Heavens to give its energy from him to the dying sun.

Technically speaking, any Divine bloodline could do it.

Still, he had a higher problem at the moment.

"C-c-can't b-b-breathe!"  His voice squeaked out before Lanbao suddenly backed off looking seven shades of red!  WIth her azure hair and robes, it was like seeing a tomato in clothing!

Lind took a breath but then more people began to appear.  He realized how small the Desolate Song had become.

He sighed internally as he would no doubt have to have many meetings explaining what happened but stunningly, everyone knew!

He tried to recall what exactly happened after he fell but nothing came back aside from pain and keeping his dantian stable.

It was a very nice but strange feeling to not have to explain himself.

He was still very tired but Lanbao happily carried him back to the Core Hall where a panicking Linghu wanted to know what just happened.

The Core Hall had moved!

It was no longer in a special realm but a floating island over the Law Binding lands!  Lind was not sure but perhaps the increased Qi density broke formations too weak to resist.

His weavings and others were holding just fine but he did see damage to many formations when he looked at them carefully.

It looked like they had overloaded!

Anything dealing in Laws was fine but grade 6 and below had taken a hit.  It made him wonder if the wards and sects were all right but he got his answer shortly.

Aside from the Heavenly Maiden Sect and the Two Rivers, the rest of the Alliance suffered formation failures or severe damage.  Thankfully no one died, but a whole lot of resources were burned up in a single day.

He felt a headache but at least it was something that could be recovered in time.  He did dispense from the treasury as it was only fair.

That calmed many down but then a few strange reports came in.  The long silent ascension pool had been stirred up!

It was located in the former Hilden Empire but not quite inside it.  Xing had isolated it so that any ascender would be sent straight to the Core Hall.

The reason being very simple.  The mortal realm was free.

In an odd twist, the Fiends had to leave it alone to not draw attention to their plans, thus when Suzen betrayed them, there were no Fiends left to invade!

Lind did not know much more about it as most records never even touched on it.  It seemed the former 6 empires, even before Suzen, simply kept an eye out for promising seeds and cared little for the conditions inside.

Lind did want to know but had no ability to go.  Unlike the Babylon Guild, he had no artifacts to restrict his cultivation to descend.  Now, it seemed something had changed.

Envoys from the mortal realm had arrived!

A gorgeous woman in tan robes looked in awe at the twinkling night sky.  She had gold and crimson skin to show she was an aether child.  Her coloring made her very sought after but she had become a powerhouse in her realm.

Aether children were always sought after so they had to learn to fight or become tools for others very quickly to survive.  She had fought.  Her peak Sky Realm aura felt so small in the massive structure around her.

The 2 men with her seemed unimpressed at their greeting of 2 simple guards not much more powerful than them.  They were fools.  She could feel the profound nature of their cultivation was much higher than theirs.

They could do twice the power with half the effort if her senses were not wrong.

"Galatia, these paltry beings are beneath us.  It is clear the old legends are wrong as well.  We should begin to establish our own powers here."  She rolled her eyes at the suave square jawed man.

He was well built but the rapier at his hip had not seen use in many centuries.  He had become indolent as his first 1000 years passed.  Now, Eldrin increased his harem and tried to add her to it.

He was not so foolish as to force her but he did not seem to understand the phrase, 'Go to Hell.'

"I agree, we will capture these 2 and interrogate them while our forces prepare."  The older man was actually larger than the other.  If Eldrin was a useless womanizer, Palor was a dangerous foe.

He dismissed the tier 8 Sky Realms out of hand but before they could do anything truly stupid, a horrifying aura slammed into them all.  She noted the guards smiled.

A massive silver bird appeared before a flash blinded them and a woman of incredible beauty stood before them.  Her silver robes matched her hair as her porcelain skin shone like she was a living doll.

"I am Glenda, an advisor to the Supreme Emperor Lind Frey.  Welcome to the Heaven Realm."  The 2 men were sweating as they realized how much more powerful the woman was than them but Galatia felt satisfied as she bowed back.

"Senior, we have felt a great change in our realm and came to investigate as it seemed to come from here.  May we have a meeting and discuss it?"  Glenda smiled and nodded as she turned and moved off to a meeting room.

The world was changing again!
