Chapter 637 - 636 - Dragon vs Fiend
Chapter 637 - 636 - Dragon vs Fiend
Lind felt his organs slam around his body as Xing hit him again. Her Qi was not much of a threat but her pure strength was. Even as a dragon, a Fiend posed a serious threat to him.
He wanted to burn out her Qi with his harmony but being a full Tier lower in the Heaven Realm was a far cry from previous realms.
The yawning chasm could still be bridge to the low Sun Tier but a peak Sun Tier touching on the Immortal Realm was a terrifying enemy to Lind.
His bloodline suppression had no effect on Fiends either so most of his advantages were useless. It was only the pure dragon strength that could hurt her with his harmony flowing over his body.
Her defenses were a joke but her attacks were dangerous.
All it would take is brute strength to rip his heart or brain out.
"DIE!" He felt her fingers dig into his flesh but his harmony flared to neutralize her poison and Qi at the same time. She clearly had another storage treasure on her but Shi had described the one with the Seal many times to him.
No doubt Xing thought no one could get at it that way and anyone else would have indeed been screwed. Lind, however, had Celestial Qi. It cracked the treasure and his own studies had helped it spew out its contents if Shi smashed it.
He felt like moments were days as he fought and blood began to flow from his scales. He was not a bottomless pit of Qi and Xing seemed to have experience fighting dragon type beasts.
Her tactics were not perfect but on Lanbao they would likely have been lethal. The slight differences from the lower bloodlines to the higher were throwing her off but he was too constricted in the Core Hall.
He could not build up momentum nor could he dodge effectively, but he needed his dragon body to have a chance!
The other issue was the gamble he was about to take. He prayed to any spirit listening to give him the time he needed.
"You will die here. I can already feel your Qi getting weaker!" Xing was not wrong but she was not quite right. Lind's Qi certainly felt weaker but that was because he was allocating it for something a bit drastic.
A spike in his aura was her only warning as emerald flames blazed from the wounds on his body. It healed him and seared her flesh. The once smooth ash gray skin was now covered in burns and scars as it healed so quickly.
Whatever pill she took was still helping her!
"Only when I am dead should you start boasting." Lind's vertically slit eyes were cold as dragon flame came out. Xing tried to dodge but was seared even more. If not for the fact she kept moving, Lind would have been happy with the result!
The damned pill was not the only problem! He could not get her to stay still long enough to kill her!
Lind wanted Shi and Linghu to hurry. He could not last much longer!
As if waiting for his thought, the sound of doors rumbling was felt through his body and froze Xing in place.
"No, no, no, no!" She tried to leave but her body was still healing. Lind thanked any spirit listening for small favors and slammed her into the stone floor. She skipped like a stone on water into the wall but it hardly seemed to bother her compared to the burns.
[Now comes the hard part. Go to Suzen.] He sent a signal straight to Shi and felt her mentally nod. The next part should be interesting.

Shi stood once more in the horrifying room but avoided looking at the Law Core and Law Array. She made sure Linghu did not either but then both saw the half trapped Suzen.
"He was here the whole time?" The 6 empires had legends about the man that 'saved' them all but none could have imagined his true fate.
"Apparently ever since Xing took over. Now, I need you to do something difficult for me, brother." She looked at Linghu fervently but he pulled her into a hug. She was caught off guard but hugged him back hard.
"You are alive. Ask and I will do the impossible." She felt her heart skip a beat but then grimaced as that was exactly what she wanted him to do.
"I need you to trust my Master, Lind Frey with all our lives. Let him in your mind. I swear to Heaven and Earth he is a good man." Linghu looked surprised but slowly nodded.
[I do not have much time, but do you know how to use that Seal?]
A voice in pain entered LInghu's mind and he quickly affirmed what he knew of the Seal but it was limited. Also, it was bound to Xing. That much was obvious.
[Not quite right. Suzen bound it to her. There is a difference. She needed you to replace him to remake the Law Binding in their original plan. I need you to take that final step on your own.]
Linghu frowned deeply.
"I am not ready. She would have made me do it already if I could." He spoke the plain truth. The whole room shook as dust fell from the ceiling. The long pause gave them both shivers but then he spoke again.
[She was not ready to refine the Law Core and have you breakthrough at the same time. I assume she has taught you a lot but it is flawed. Will you endure pain to give us a chance?]
Linghu looked at his sister carefully. She had much healthier skin and was smiling so easily looking at him. It was a massive transformation but all of that was nothing compared to her eyes. They were full of hope!
"My sister trusts you. I need to know nothing else in this life." Linghu spoke with conviction before pain assaulted his mind. He felt Shi grab on to him and give comforting sounds but never cursed Lind Frey.
That told Linghu all he needed even more.
As the pain rocked his mind, whole new concepts came to him and the many things he struggled to grasp under Xing fell away easily! Of course, it was so simple! He had been going down the wrong path!
The pain receded and he slowly turned to the Law Core. Shi tried to stop him, but he waved her hand back. He had felt something shift in his sun and his soul. It was as if what was separate was no longer so.
Further, all the many lessons Xing had given him included the basics of the Laws she wanted him to know. His mind had been riddled with pain for centuries as she shoved it all in but as he got closer to the very peak of Sun Tier, the pain had become less.
Now, after Lind showed him a better elemental path, his foundation soared past the final barrier.
The sphere of strange light began to make sense to Linghu and he felt the foulness of it. Inside what Lind showed him, was something else. It was a massive emerald shape at the heart of his mind.
A new Law was floating in front of Linghu and he seemed to grasp it! At that moment, the special realm shattered open as Heavenly tribulation gathered.
A massive aura pressed down on the entire Heaven Realm that made all the Fiends below Immortal Realm kneel or crash from the skies. They had to run! Heaven was angry at them and would use the tribulation to kill them en masse if it could!
What was going on?!

Xing was nearly healed back up when she felt the shift in the world. Shock flooded her body as she stared at the bleeding but still ready to fight dragon. One of his eyes was sealed shut but it would hardly stop a dragon given time.
"I-impossible! How did he break through so soon?!" She wanted to leave but then the world changed! She was suddenly in a forest and could not find her way out.
Laughter, deep and throaty laughter came from all around her.
"He was ready long ago if he had the right guidance and motivation. He fought you at every turn as we all have. Now, he fights to live free. He fights to save his family. I am a different matter." The voice suddenly came from behind her and she saw a human with myriad injuries and a glowing emerald sword in his hands.
"I simply cannot allow your race to keep existing as it is. You treat us all like things. That is my bottom line!" Xing scoffed as she launched black earth at the foolish bastard. In his dragon form he was troublesome, but a human had far too many ways to die.
The shards pierced all over his body but nothing happened!
"NO–" Xing shouted but then a massive emerald blade shot out of her chest! It had her blood flying everywhere as emerald flames ravaged her dantian.
"Finally got you." Lind dispersed the illusion based on Annabelle's arrays. It was one of the few plates he had left she had sent him before he ascended. It was only a test one so he worried it would not be enough, but it worked.
Xing collapsed, still alive but now her flesh withered. Lind stumbled back as he lost all strength in his legs.
The room began to shake as lighting filled the room! Lind was blasted back but awake as the lightning took on a familiar shape.
It was a lighting dragon tribulation! Why? He was not in the Sun Tier, let alone the peak of it!
The creature slowly looked at him and for a moment time froze.
A strange feeling overcame him as Lind felt all his injuries and pain fall away. The world no longer mattered as he felt a strong connection to the world at large. He was looking down and saw the many black dots around a massive shimmering space.
It was weakening but they were running from the lightning blazing along it! Lind suddenly felt his heart throb as the sky changed one more time.
The once black clouds were now laced with emerald and a voice screamed out across all the Heaven Realm.
"NO MORE!" Emerald lightning smashed into the Fiend armies around the Law Binding and wiped out anything it touched! The once firm emplacements were turned into nothing as the emerald lighting was far more destructive than the normal Heavenly Lighting.
The few Immortal Fiends felt fear grasp their hearts as any thought of braving the lighting vanished. They had felt that power before! Lind Frey! Lind Frey was inside the Law Binding!
He was in the Heaven Realm! A massive dragon made up of emerald lightning stared down at the Fiends and they scattered! Only death awaited them if they stayed. By the time the tribulation had come to an end, the Law Binding had been restored with one key difference.
Emerald light was laced throughout it! It was very faint, but it was there! The Fiends could only give up! Once again, an ant had stolen away something from them, but they took solace that he was trapped at last.
The Law Binding could endure for another million years or so but then it would fall. They could wait it out and he would be dead! The Fiends turned to their own affairs and simply left guards to wait.
Time was always on their side.
