Chapter 636 - 635 - Xing Unleashed
Chapter 636 - 635 - Xing Unleashed
How long had it been exactly?
How long had she been stuck inside the tiny realm away from the Law Binding. She only barely survived because Suzen had foolishly thought with the head between his legs rather than the one on his shoulders.
All the Soulmancers, Lifemancers, and Blessed Creators were women inside the Core Hall. She had hunted them one at a time to build up her strength. Her plain body had once had a cultivator crave the attention her prettier rivals had.
It was a shallow wish but for a Fiend, it was child's play to grant. Xing had laughed at how the girl gave up her future for a short term benefit but she had the last laugh at Xing. It was only that same gift that saved the Fiend from death.
Xing consumed her entirely and the human body returned to its plain self, but none noticed since she used weavings far beyond the fools' understanding around her. It took only 2 centuries before Suzen had been captured and all the others were made her resources.
Now, she stood in the Core Hall, nearly killed by a Moon Tier ant! She had not felt that angry and excited in a long time! Fresh prey was delivered to her door after so long!
She had let various rebellions think they had caught her off guard but simply killed or consumed while the battles entertained her. The long isolation had affected her but for the first time she had a true intruder.
That whore Shi was alive! Xing was actually happy as she retrieved her dagger. She would enjoy skinning that woman in front of the brazen Linghu. He would rue the day he started standing up to her.
For a moment, she wondered if she should disperse the Law Binding but if she killed that man, everything could be reclaimed in time. It would in fact not be bad to have quality resources for a change when she restored the original intent of the Law Binding.
A true smile crossed her darkly beautiful face as she began to run after her new prey! Her eyes shifted to find that ever so painful Qi signature. She had no idea how he did that, but it would not work on her twice!
She was stunned at how fast they had moved away from her. It only made the hunt more fun for her! A true hunt after so long! Her blood sang as her Qi distorted the very air around her. The Core Hall formations rebelled against her presence but could do nothing so long as she had the crystal Seal.
"You can't hide forever and there is nowhere to run!" She touched a few sigils on the Seal and the boom of doors sealing thundered in the air. Fun though it was, she wanted to make sure nothing bad happened anywhere else in the Core Hall.
Suzen was now safe behind a grade 7 door.
Xing ran into the massive meeting hall and saw the trail of Qi disappear into the living quarters. She sneered as Shi was likely looking for her brother but she would not find him! Xing had long since moved the brat into a cage made from coralite steel!
Even she, a peak Sun Tier Fiend, could not put a dent in that metal!
It was mid grade 7 material to start with and had been refined further to make the cage!
Xing licked the blade in her hand in joy. Unlike a cultivator, the poison was sweet to Fiends! The slight burning sensation made her smile widen as she followed the pair into the dead end. It was all almost over!

Shi was shaking. She had forgotten how terrifying Xing felt in her Fiend form. She no longer knew where her Master was going but he seemed to know the way better than her!
She saw her old quarters fly past and noticed old blood! She wanted to hop out of his hands but he seemed stronger than her at these times. His emerald Qi invigorated her dantian but also restrained her effectively.
She could force her way out at full strength but she trusted him. He had not let her down yet, but then a voice came to them.
"You can't hide forever and there is nowhere to run!" The rumble of the doors sealing was then heard.
"She sealed us in! There is no way out!" Shi whimpered as she knew Xing could be very cruel. The thought of being in one of those refinement rooms terrified her.
"There never was a way out. We either kill her and win, or everyone dies. There are no other options." Lind's voice was calm but he suddenly turned down a very familiar corridor lined in gold!
"STOP! Her room is this way!" Shi had no desire to be stuck in that room again. She had been tortured enough over the millennia but Lind never stopped.
Why was he going that way against her advice?
A double set of doors appeared and felt vile to Shi. She understood what she was sensing now that Lind had taught her what to look for. A Fiend formation!
Lind never slowed down and the instant his emerald Qi touched it, the formation shattered like glass!
They burst into the room where a queen sized bed lay ruffled and ornate wood and metal tables were on either side. Implements that were garish lay on those tables and Shi shivered at old memories.
She was about to ask why they were there when a voice froze her solid.
"SHI! YOU'RE ALIVE?!" She slowly turned as tears formed to see her brother beaten but whole inside a silvery cage. His own narrow face had tears forming but he smiled wider than she could ever recall seeing in their entire lives.
"We do not have time to cover it all, but yes, she lives. Hold still." Lind finally set her down but frowned at the cage door. She looked at the lock and was shaken at the profound feeling that came from it!
It was NOT Fiend Qi, but Immortal Qi!
"W-what are we going to do?! She is coming!" Shi was feeling panic but then saw Lind's right arm bulge as it became draconic. The claws were much bigger looking when compared to his human form.
"Old school it is." The claw touched the lock and then shrank a bit as he produced a slim metal rod. What was he doing?!
"Shi! Shi! Why did you come back?" Linghu was limply hanging in place and she knew the 'strings' were not letting him control his own body even inside a cage. Her anger rose but she smiled at her brother.
"I swore I would get you free. Did you think I would forget?" Her head was tilted at an angle sweetly which made a bittersweet smile appear on his face.
"She will kill you now. Get out and forget about me. Fight to the end and bring her down." Shi wished it was that simple.
"Linghu, the Law Binding is surrounded by Fiends on all sides. If she wanted, Xing could have collapsed it at any time and killed us all. Only the promise of benefits has stopped her. Master is the first true threat in a long time and we can't push her any farther." Linghu's eyes narrowed at the word 'Master' but he saw no collar on his sister's neck.
An audible click was heard before emerald Qi was flung at Linghu. The young man flinched but felt no damage. In fact, he felt something he had not felt in far too long.
His arm obeyed his command with no issue as he brought it to his face and his other arm braced his weight as he stood up all on his own. There was no feeling of something in his skin with every movement nor a tug on his soul!
The light faded and Linghu stood free for the first time in his very long life without restraint!
"DAMN YOU BASTARD!" A scream that sounded far too close came from the hall. Shi grabbed her brother out of the cage as they stood next to Lind.
"What do we do?" She turned to see Lind looking grim before a long sigh came out of him.
"We can't leave anything to chance. I have to fight her head on. You 2 will need to take a chance to escape but wait for my signal." Lind then began to grow in size so Shi pulled her brother back as he looked on in awe.
Seeing it on a jade stone projection was one thing, but feeling it in person was stunning.
Before he could grow to his full 9 meters in length, a wild Xing came barging in. She looked crazed as she stared at Shi and Linghu behind Lind.
"I will slowly skin you alive as that boy watches and before you die, I will defile him in every way. Only then, will I consume you!" Both siblings shivered as they well knew the Fiend was not lying.
"I think not." A massive tail slammed into Xing. The aura of a Sun Tier flared but all were stunned as her aura was broken like a twig and her body sent flying! She slammed into the golden wall before Lind chased after her.
"H-how did he do that?" Linghu asked Shi but she could only slowly shrug as Lind never explained his harmony to her. He had been just too busy with other projects.
"Come on, we have to–" She did not finish before a large shape came flying back at them!
Lind slammed into the bed and shattered it but he was not bleeding, only irritated.
"Annoying, but expected." His voice sounded rough as a now bleeding Xing reappeared. Despite the black blood, she seemed remarkably fine without any limp or weak movements.
"I will enjoy making you into a coat, dragon!" Her ash gray skin turned darker as Xing clearly lost her temper.
"Sorry to disappoint you, but this body will vanish if you kill me. I am not even sure these are scales." Lind's surprisingly flippant remark surprised Shi. Why was Lind suddenly bantering with Xing?
He had been goading Timat in their battle but there was no point to this one, right?
Before she could even blink the 2 collided and the shockwave destroyed more items but the cage simply stood still as if nothing could bother it. The walls were the only other thing truly unaffected.
Shi and Linghu were slammed into the walls but since it was not directed at them, they were merely winded.
"We need to go!" Linghu was terrified but Shi shook her head. They could not get by that fight and Xing would absolutely strike at them if they gave an opening.
"Be ready and run when I say." Shi was firm but Linghu nodded instantly.
Not long after, a cracking sound was heard when Xing screamed. Her arm was broken!
"Bastard! I will drink your blood but keep you alive for the next epoch! I promise this!" Lind scoffed at her words as he slammed her with his tail again but Xing hopped back as she downed a pill.
A Fiend pill! Shi felt worried but then felt something hit her legs. She looked down and saw a dark metal bracelet cracked and leaking QI.
Before a breath passed, she grabbed it and ran off with Linghu. Xing was blocked from seeing them but she could still sense them.
"GIVE THAT BACK!" The panic in Xing's voice made Shi smile. Still, she dared not slow down as she sprinted down the hall as emerald light flared with Xing's pained screams.
"We have a chance, Linghu!" She saw him look pale but then tossed the bracelet down the hall where it shattered and many objects appeared. Among the Qi stones, crystals, and other valuable items was a giant crystal disk.
Suzen's Seal was now in Shi's hands!
