Eternal Emerald Dragon

Chapter 622 - 621 - Blitz

Chapter 622 - 621 - Blitz

Lind was exhausted beyond belief after the Heavenly Wrath.  He had not intended to invoke it but he was hardly complaining.  Half his problems were resolved in Orwellia with that single event.  It also told him that the Heaven Realm was not welcoming to Fiends either.

He had tried to invoke the Heavenly Wrath in the Barren Realm but it was like it was blocked off.  Something still held it back but he would hopefully figure that out in the future.

For the moment, he slowly recovered as they followed a route in the backcountry of the mountains on the northside of Orwellia Empire.  It had been used to move supplies and some refugees now and again, but now it held close to 300 people.

Out of what had once been a few thousand rebels, only 300 survived the onslaught of the puppets.  They could see the panicking forces of Orwellia trying to stop their noble floating lands leaving their Empire!

Such a massive distraction made their escape a piece of cake.  Lind was stunned at how pure the air had become as well!  His dantian rejoiced at the pure elements in the air and his moon grew ever so slightly from the very start of the peak of Moon Tier.

Compared to previous cultivation realms, the Heaven Realm was like comparing a mountain to an entire world.  Soul Realm was rather simple if not for being a 6 elemental.  World Realm was a lot more on quality but still progressed fairly quickly.

Sky Realm really was separated by the 3 tiers in a group.  The farther one went, the more massive capacity and quality improved.

Heaven Realm, on the other hand, was like massive chasms the size of worlds.  It was not just between the tiers but even the minor steps inside them required gargantuan efforts to progress.

The advantage he gained by skipping Star Tier was now counterbalanced by the massive amount of Qi and increase in quality of all 6 elements he had to perform to advance.  If not for his harmony helping him with his dragon soul, he likely would not have come as far as he had so quickly.

Benefits and cost could not be escaped, but right then he felt blessed.  Exhausted as he was, he had helped deal a blow Timat would not be able to recover from in a short time.

He freely used his bracelet to contact Gravis and Sheena for the change in plans.  Requera could wait as Timat had to die!

Further, they could not allow them to recover!

The oppressive and manipulative Empire had a foundation that the Heavenly Wrath may not have cracked.  The birth of the damnable brand also came from that Empire.  He would crush it root and branch!

His emerald eyes were shifting between human and dragon without his notice at that moment.

After nearly a month they emerged from a briar maze into the plains outside the empires and the Hinterlands.  Normally it would be marked by dust clouds along the roads but a much larger cloud was on the horizon.

The rebels were floored as an army of millions suddenly appeared in front of them!

Not only that, but the man barely standing stepped forward and more than a third of that army took a knee while the rest bowed low to him!

"Emperor, you seem to have been busy since you left us."  A massively muscled woman with a sword so large it seemed impossible to wield was on her back.  Lili was not quite as outrageous in her mercenary getup but her sword was a close second!

"Sheena, you seem more excited now than we last met as well."  The woman scratched the back of her head and blushed.

"We had to wait 3 years before, now only a little over half has passed and we are getting to fight again.  Plus–"  She looked behind the rag tag group to the still very chaotic floating landmasses.

Lind could only nod.  Compared to Dar, Orwellia was coming apart at the seams.

"Everyone is ok, though?"  Lind saw Hiam's army leader was coming over.  She was a demoness with black and scarlet hair.  Her lavender skin was covered in scars.  Lind had offered to heal her but she refused.

Aside from Haim, she only listened to Lind.  He found that odd.

Keera bowed low before bringing him up to speed.  At his request, Haim had happily sent more soldiers who had just recently joined them.

"When will we make plans?"  Her voice was cool but her sharp gaze was full of anticipation for mayhem.  Lind actually smiled which sent shivers up the spines of all present.

"Plans?  Who needs plans?  This once, we will cut loose.  Mark allies as Gravis instructed and then force march for Celestia.  We take it today!"  Shock flood the small group but Keera actually smiled wide before laughing.

"I understand you have a family already Emperor Lind, but I would not mind bearing you a child!"  Lind broke out in a cold sweat.  What was wrong with demons?!

"Focus on the battle.  We will be doing a very effective but harsh tactic of blitzing!"  Keera and Gravis tilted their heads in confusion but Sheena smiled wide.  She knew what he was talking about as the former exiles had employed similar tactics against each other before.

"Organize the army and let's move out!"  Lili took the rebels to the healers as the armies of the Two Rivers and Hope made their move.

The guards at the gate of Celestia were too wooden.  People suddenly realized a lot of little things that should have stuck out long before in the last month.

The complete lack of cultivators outside the Soul Realm in the city proper with a few World Realms sprinkled in the businesses was damned odd.  On top of that, they barely seemed to speak or even cultivate really!

The merchants and travelers were both creeped out and infuriated because now they seemed broken on top of that.  They could not leave the city!

They badly wanted to as an army was on the move visible to the naked eye!

Still, they thought they had time until the gates suddenly crashed open and the walls were breached in a single breath!  Where were the defensive formations?!

Lind smirked as his knowledge of elements worked against the old ways just as well as before.  He had to adjust for the secondary elements but 50 years was more than enough to at least find the flaws in the Heaven Realm foundations.

The formations and items built off it were even worse than the mortal realms to be honest.

It was like a barely woven tapestry with many threads ready to be pulled to his Eyes.

It was begging to be ripped apart like paper and with his armies that was exactly what they did.  Even a bad grade 6 formation could withstand a single cultivator armed with Lind's new knowledge, but an army cut through them like a hot knife through butter.

The guards had a response but they were far too slow!  Lind's harmony swept the walls and the puppets just collapsed where they stood!

After his first encounter in the rebel camp, he had found far better points of attack but it still left him exhausted taking out so many.  He downed an elixir to speed up his recovery but the armies were marching into Celestia like it was an open field!

The street defenses tried to bring in the Sky Realms but once more, it did not seem to matter as the Two Rivers' forces ripped apart the arrays.

It was a sea of demons but the doe eyed Soul Realms were left in peace as they did nothing but shuffle around.  It seemed even demons knew who were victims and who was the enemy.

The few hundred visitors rose up to fight and were viciously wiped out.  No mercy or quarter was given and finally Sky Realms began to pour out of the warehouse and inner wall area.

It was far too late by then.

The momentum could not stop and the Two Rivers Empire soldiers shined at that moment.  While the demons had spent 15 years settling their new empire and improving themselves, the Two Rivers had almost 80 years total to pull on.

The results were terrifying in that chaotic moment.

Sky Realms normally could bring a lot of power to bear but the spears, swords, and various other weapon intent tore asunder the Orwellian army attacks like they were small children fighting adults!

"Get to the underground!"  Keera roared and the demons washed down the streets while the Two Rivers army focused on ripping to shreds all obstacles.  It was like nothing could stop the tide of the 2 armies as they swarmed Celestia.

Lind had Sheena carve a path for him to head back into the underground chambers.  He saw the ancient architecture was cracked and crumbling in a few places.  It seemed breaking the spirit tethers had a side effect of breaking all the ancient arrays held in place.

He felt a little guilty but at the moment he leapt into the air and found the now dead teleportation array platform.  Even a slight shift was enough to break the contact since the other end was on a floating piece of land.

Lind smiled as his fingers glowed before he began to engrave.  Unlike normal spatial masters, he had an advantage over them.  He had seen how the current arrays could be altered a bit to make something a bit more direct.

Teleporting would give too much of a warning and restrict their ability to send enough all at once.  Taking the ground area was a foregone conclusion after talking to the rebels.

Aside from some resource gathering areas and a smattering of villages, Celestia was the only major city on the ground.  No one was enslaved but they were simply paupers living in the shadow of the Noble Lands floating above them.

The majority of the 600 million residents were on the ground but they were the workforce with a few false sects setup to filter out talent here or there.  None of it worked anymore by the description he had as all the resources were being burned to stop the lands from floating away.

The true power was all concentrated in the palaces and open stretches.

The air began to twist and become dense before it cracked and ripped open as the array lit up completely beneath his feet.

"You wanted war, now the real war begins!"  He charged in and flared his aura to protect those that followed.  The demons poured in while Sheena kept a small force near Lind.  In only a few breaths they emerged into the false sky.

He had already told them what to expect but a few paused as none had ever seen a sun.

"Heaven Realms are up here so do not scatter.  Form up and prepare for an attack!"  Keera was with them as already 500 thousand demons spread out in the area and secured the exit.  Lind stayed by it and anchored it to the newly lit up teleportation array.

Once he was done, he nodded as more soldiers poured out and formed up before the rest headed out.  Shadows began to appear on the horizon and Lind recognized a few from his last trip.

The Star and Moon Tiers had come!  While the demons had a few, they were not as profound as their enemy, but Sheena roared and powerful weapon aura flooded the skies to rip apart the arrogant enemy.

Lind saw the shallow foundation issues continued even with Timat.  They simply became lazy after a million years of no danger.  They now reaped the loss of such a tactic and he began to scan for the true danger to them all.

The Sun Tier Fiend was a true expert and he hoped he could contain him.
