Eternal Emerald Dragon

Chapter 1739 1738 - Divine Lord Weapons

Chapter 1739 1738 - Divine Lord Weapons

"Forgive my ignorance, Lord Frey, but we have been using your harmonic weapons and other artifacts to great effect but you have stated they have no effect on Master Tiers. There are at least a segment of Fiends at the Apprentice and Journeyman Tier so how effective will these be and why?" Despite how contrarian the demon speaking sounded, Lind actually knew he was serious.

The missing eye and scar stretching across his skull and down his exposed chest showed he had been hurt by another Divine Realm being far more powerful than him. Even with the injury, he rippled with power.

The 2 swords on his back also proved he was not missing a step even without his eye.

[These are not just harmonic weapons and armor. I have invoked my Divine Authority for them to specifically work on Fiends.]

Pin drop silence fell over the hall and likely across the mountain range. He had done what?!

Lind smiled and turned to his family. Kora produced daggers all recognized as her normal weapons. They shimmered with emerald light but the comparison to the current ones he had brought out, they were dull.

Kora sighed and sliced in very slow motion. All were confused until the instant the dagger came in contact with the sword. The daggers were not simply shattered, they ceased to exist!

All auras felt it and shivered. More, the sword seemed to grow stronger briefly before settling.

[Obviously, since I made both, the stronger weapon absorbed and grew from the clash. With Fiends, it will exhaust them. Assume 2 to 3 at most per weapon if done in 1 strike. If more than one, take care with the luminosity of the areas on my creations.]

His words excited some but the Divine Lords in the group frowned deeply. They could tell something was wrong. Lind's vitality was hardly affected at all!

He smiled again and summoned ores, crystal powder, and beast cores. He Forged a new set of daggers but just as he was about to finish, his aura changed.

{I imbue these daggers to wipe the scourge of Fiends from the world forever so long as the power endures.}

The skies did not even ripple but all felt the power of Heaven and Earth respond as the daggers shone like the sun briefly before a new set of daggers floated over to Kora. She was in awe as she took them.

All the gathered figures also felt various emotions. The Divine Lords, however, focused on one particular aspect. Lind's vitality.

It had not decreased at all! Sudden realization came back to them. The Fiends, as a matter of fact, were enemies of Heaven and Earth! Understanding spread as they looked at him and he nodded back.

[I tested this and it is not limited to my personal creations. It works best if so, but with a clear intent to use strictly to strike down Fiends, my Divine Authority imposes no cost.]

Aristrossa appeared next to him and presented a dark spear that seemed to absorb all light yet its aura matched the harmonic weapons now floating around Lind!

[Divine Lord Aristrossa graciously confirmed all of you can replicate this effect. I would suspect that acknowledged True Lords can do something similar but test something before going full force.]

The excitement around the hall gave real hope! Lind's and other 6 elemental harmonies were long known to be effective but now there was another avenue!

He let them absorb that before raising his hands.

[Be warned, without a harmonic weapon, a normal weapon, even Mystery Grade, has far less endurance. My weapons clash and can endure 6 to 10 strikes before one fails and is absorbed by the other. Divine Lord Aristrossa's Authority could only produce a weapon to take 3 to 5 strikes before they broke.]

It was clear the best combination was to have Divine and True Lords cast their Authority as experts created the best weapons they could.

The arsenal was so specific but it was clear how close to the end things had become.

Heaven and Earth was literally on their side!

Lind proceeded to reveal the timing and ensured to demonstrate many more times how it worked. He then distributed what he had to all the forces present based on their preferences.

A massive hive of activity followed as the Divine Lords and True Lords moved to the various refining and Forging guilds. Elder Forgeheart had realized all would have learned equally of that part of the plan but the battle strategy had limited scope to be shared.

Forces like his that were both warrior and crafter were rather rare.

Lind worked with them all and the Divine Lord Weapons were born. They had but one target. They would destroy Fiends.

It was a distinction Lind had not explained but most grasped it. Killing a Fiend would only send the life force to the Bastard. It would have been no different from him harvesting the Fiend killed.

Destroying the dantian, however, released the life force back into Samsara and severed the link at the same time. Once the Fiends learned of it, their strategy would change yet it would only work in their favor.

Lind also knew that would only temporarily gain them an advantage. Once the Bastard moved, he had to be ready to take him on or his power would swallow whole any force they sent.

In the end, he had to buy time to thwart the Bastard and kill him. He had a good gauge of his power but he knew it was not enough. He had so little time but he needed to condense a new Mystery yet he had no idea what was ahead.

The other Master Tiers had not been able to help him at all. It was not for a lack of wanting to. It was the fact no Master Tier shared Mysteries at all!

The Tower of Mysteries came back to him so clearly. The foundation was solidly 3 layers for the Apprentice Tier. It was focused on the self, and a cultivator had perceived to be their path related to Life, Death, and Rebirth. No living being could escape them, normally.

The Journeyman Tier had been less defined but stretching outward into the world around it. It was about the literal world and what the cultivator perceived as important to their path in relation to that interaction of Heaven, Earth, and Qi.

Lind now needed the Master Tier but it was not set like the other 6. The Master Tier was still all about him. He had to discern his own 3 layers!

The Divine Realm truly was about separating from Heaven and Earth but he knew it was not so easy. It was simpler to acquire Mysteries that bound them to the Divine Lands instead. Lind could not follow that path.

He had to follow the path of breaking free. He knew that much and it was confirmed at least by the Master Tiers. Correspondingly, it also meant it was much harder.

Considering his current circumstances, there was one clear possibility.

His harmony or what it represented. Both could be equally valid yet no one could guide him any farther. Heaven and Earth was even useless to him as the next step was not just personal but a decision.

To become a pillar for the entirety of Heaven and Earth or take the first step to striving for the next major realm was ahead of him. In his case, the choice was already made.

He sighed as finer details were now brought up for logistics and other issues that were more mundane.

He could pull back as the broad strokes were covered. He was not going to be in charge of the larger army.

He was about to leave when a pair of people appeared before him. One was an older woman with a simple 2 handed sword on her back. It had no embellishments but its power was clear to his trained eye. Her white hair was tied back with a simple leather and wooden pin decoration.

Her robes were cut to allow her to use her whole body with ease. Her face was not wrinkled yet he knew she was ancient. Her skin was well tanned to show she was rarely indoors.

The other was also a woman but unlike her counterpart, she simply held a dark wooden staff as her back was bent not by age, but injuries. Her body was heavily scarred yet it moved with power.

Her face was wrinkled, again by injury. She had clearly had to recover her foundation some time in the past and had done so. Her ornate white robes had a small golden emblem all too familiar to him.

Both were peak Master Tiers. He cupped his hands and bowed low.

"Greetings seniors, I believe you are Grand Elder Sever and Grand Elder Pillar." They were the grand elders of the Divine Sword Sect and Heavenly Maiden Sect. In his Celestial Fields they were unrivaled powerhouses but even in the current state of affairs, sects had little ability to lord over many like they could in lower worlds.

There were just too many.

"Your reputation precedes you. Those 2 little girls were always having adventures thanks to you doing odd things and now you toss out how even weapons are made!" Grand Elder Sever laughed but stayed serious. Her companion chucked but agreed with the words.

Lind knew they referred to the 2 women that greeted him back when he died. A sudden realization passed over him. He had not gone to see them!

As if reading his mind, the 2 grand elders laughed some more but then became serious.

"You are not staying even if we win?" Grand Elder Pillar spoke and he nodded. Both sighed as if they knew that was the answer.

"You will need them. You will need to have a very long conversation as they are tied to you even now. Normally, this would be addressed long ago but it has hardly been normal. We are now the representatives of our remaining faction members. They are at the western tower, waiting for you." He bowed low and smiled.

They had sent friends to call him. He let his wives know and got back mostly sass and well wishes. He then flew off to meet the 2 women once more that had started his journey in the cultivation world.
