Eternal Emerald Dragon

Chapter 1611 - 1610 - Rise of Demons

Chapter 1611 - 1610 - Rise of Demons

The Celestial Fields had known relative peace for centuries after Lind ascended. The silence from the Divine Lands left some disorientated but others felt the pressure to advance.

The Harmonic Dragons were growing explosively but would still take a long time to begin to even try to face ascension.

The wives of Lind Frey had begun to ascend which made those that had been there back at the original Moebius Sect to begin to engage in rather insane ideas.

Kal recalled Kexin's plan as being just shy of suicidal.

Rather than wait for her own tribulation, she wanted Kal or Tessa to attempt theirs. Of the 2, she preferred him.

The Akashic Physique was similar to a Divine Bloodline but rather than rejoicing his increase in realm, the Heavens tried to crush him each time.

He had heard his own tribulations were far less than others in the records, but all of it paled compared to the ones he had witnessed Lind and Kexin go through.

Thus, when she suggested trying to force her own ascension when he did, he did not stop her.

It was pointless.

What shocked him and his sister, however, was when the black flames of Domination not only called down her own tribulation, it included all 3 of them. It was as if Heaven and Earth treated them as a single cultivator!

They had faced armies of lightning figures, Laws given shapes of war, death, pestilence, and so many other facets of misery.

He faced off against ancestral demons of old while Kexin and Tessa danced among their harmonies made flesh!

The terrifying auras spread across the entirety of the 4th layer before the sky finally tore open and tossed them upward. It was as if Heaven and Earth were happy to see them go!

The ascension was rough, far rougher than any he could recall.

He was flung into the air covered in blood with his left arm broken and half his ribs. The vivid blue sky and vibrant forest was not easy to take in as he was spinning faster and faster!

He was falling down a cliff!

He tried to fly but his foundation was too unstable so he summoned his wings. Damaged as his ribs were, he could still glide!

He was about to panic about the other 2 when the aura Domination filled the air with black flames.

"BASTARDS! YOU THINK THIS WILL KILL ME?!" He sighed as his worry was for naught. Honestly, the battle crazed Kexin was worse than even his early days mastering his physique.

Still, she had far more control than he ever did once Lind unlocked her harmony.

He saw she had grabbed Tessa so there was no worries on the fall but he did see a lot of dark blue blood flowing from his sister's head! Her aura was also far more chaotic than either of theirs.

Kal was snapped out of his observations by the first pine branch that crashed into his chest. His senses were so dull!

He felt a searing pain as his right arm lashed out to stop his fall. A crack thrummed through his body before he collapsed onto the hard packed soil beneath.

Kal forced himself to stay awake as he summoned a pill to heal himself but it was far from effective. His foundation was much higher than the pill he took!

The chasm between Immortal and Divine Realms was no joke!

Finally, a beam of light touched each of them and the majority of their injuries began to recover. Heaven and Earth took its sweet time!

Kal had just stabilized when his horns and tail snapped out. The tail whipped around a blade swiping from below while his horns ensnared a spear coming for his head.

He may not be able to control his new foundation yet but his body was fully mastered long ago. The sudden transformation threw off the attackers but then a bloom of virulent green reassured him his sister was back in the fight as well.

A black mushroom cloud told him Kexin also had her harmony under her control.

The lack of anything else he recognized told him they were in similar states but their foes seemed to be humans in leather armor and powerful weaponry that made his skin crawl. His physique usually protected him from casual scratches but the spear and blade easily cut his skin and horns!

The forest around them was also way too convenient for an ambush on their arrival. The trees were densely packed with thick underbrush that should not be naturally occurring. The perfect basin to have higher ground as well was beyond coincidence.

Finally, his eyes caught the glint of metal in the distance but it was not a weapon. Artifacts encircled the area!

They had been caught in a trap!

"You damned bastards! You think this will bind me!" Kal sighed as Kexin ran wild. Yet, he was shocked when one of the men in front of him, just about to throw a javelin at him, burst into dark flames instantly.

"Thralls!" His voice echoed and the humans shifted instantly. Their features twisted as their eyes shifted to the disturbing depths of a Fiend.

[You all will–] Kal did not even listen as 2 swords appeared in his hands. One blazed with terrifying black flames while the other hissed with virulent green. They were not as strong as the auras around him, but that no longer mattered.

The Fiends reacted in terror as Kal strained his muscles. His barely healed body protested but he did not care.

The trio slowly came back together but decimated their foes. The trap had become a cage for their enemies!

Moreover, something had changed when he got close to the other 2. The weakening harmonic Qi in his weapons suddenly increased in potency. He felt a shift and a strain on his dantian as the weapons pulled far more than before!

The screams of the Fiends grated on his senses but it shifted to horror from them as he saw traces of something fly off into the distance. He had no time to analyze as they all simply became unstoppable killing machines.

Of all the beings to try and entrap, the Fiends chose very poorly.

They might as well ensnare a harmonic dragon and suffer the same fate as Lind Frey had made sure to teach all he knew to his friends and family about harmonic Qi and using it against the Fiends.

None were as effective as his but Kexin came damn close.

The dark green forest did not suffer from any burns but it was torn up by the battle until the 3 demons were heaving and barely standing amid the smoldering corpses. Kal noticed that some had only been severed from their Fiends but others oddly were totally destroyed into powder.

He had no way to understand but he saw that both Kexin and Tessa were beyond exhausted compared to him. Whatever change occurred to their harmonies extracted a heavy toll.

He sighed as he had to use a bit more power if they wanted to leave. He summoned a bright emerald cube. He simply pushed the only crystal side and tossed it into the air.

All too familiar emerald Qi shot into the air and locked onto the nearest Fiend Qi. Screams of a different nature followed and Kal knew some more thralls had been hiding in the forest.

The barrier also suddenly shattered and it confirmed they went all out to capture them. A worry bloomed in his heart but then he dismissed it.

Anyone directly connected to Lind Frey was decked out with protection and offensive artifacts Forged or woven by him for emergencies. So long as it was Fiends, there was no one that could hold them.

Kal exerted his physique and both Kexin and Tessa recovered quickly. He could not fly much but they could now move on.

"Bastards. I want to kill more." Tessa sighed and Kal could only shake his head at Kexin's words.

"I suspect your wish will be granted sooner than we would like. We all need to find a safe place to consolidate and recover. I don't know if you tried but all our peak Law Grade items seem horribly ineffective now." Both snapped their eyes to him and tried their own pills and elixirs.

Grimaces confirmed they believed him, even though he just told them! He sighed internally and they quickly moved on. They found a few smoldering corpses and wrecked piles of scrap metal and crystal.

Kal noticed not all the corpses were severed thralls but completely dusted piles of ash. Why? He had never seen his Master able to do that to Fiends or thralls before.

The trio went deeper into the wild forest while across the continents many thralls and Fiends were wiped out without their knowledge. The power of harmonies had explosively grown by becoming Divine Realms and the 2 demons were closest to Lind Frey in strength.

His lessons forged the path they walked to nurture those powers and thus had become a bane of Fiends almost more than he could.

The black Dao of Domination and the virulent green Dao of Negation were born in full.
