Eternal Emerald Dragon

Chapter 1495 - 1494 - More Soul Items

Chapter 1495 - 1494 - More Soul Items

Lind was frowning deeply. After the Solaris Gem, he found 3 more items that helped heal the soul. He knew fate was restricted in his Throne but there was no way it was coincidence!

Lysanna was the one to find out that the treasures were useless to normal cultivators! Lind had a sudden possibility occur to him and he called in one of the Harmonic Dragons.

They bought a cylinder engraved with a weaving that seemed dead but still gave off an aura. It had been found in a mortal world inside a Heaven Inheritance. His harmony reacted to it and they got it fairly cheap at 70,000 peak Immortal Qi stones.

Rather than him, however, he gave to the dragon he summoned. The dragon let their golden harmony flow and the cylinder reacted instantly.

"I knew it!" It was not that they were soul orientated treasures but harmonic treasures! Like the 6 Primordials, others had been trying to find a way to help 6 elementals for billions of years!

"I want to see the catalogue on unknown or inert items!" Some helped him heal while others simply reacted to his harmony. His wives did not stop him at all that time.

His partial recovery was motivation enough to learn more!

The list was extremely short and he had already gotten over half of it. They came from various powers and most of the items had been collecting dust or the owner had passed on without an heir.

The histories went back so far that some were flat out unknown! Tears formed on his face. The forebearers of the path he now walked had done more than he had realized!

He marked off some that seemed likely to help him heal but the others were unknown until he saw them. He passed the list to Qing and Lysanna who quickly nodded and went to see how many more Qi stones they could get to buy things.

Peak Immortal Stones did not grow on trees! They had more than enough resources but that too could get tapped out quickly as some of the items were slated for later in the auction. They would be much more expensive!

A pair of long swords were currently sailing past 6 digits. He had also heard some resources offered that would quickly put it into the 7 digits. He saw they were demonic aligned so they would certainly bid into insane amounts as they were high Law Grade weapons.

The pair returned after 2 more items were claimed and a set of jewels were put up. They were a mix of lifesaving artifacts and other defensive effects for a cultivator to enact.

No one in the room would reveal the truth of what they had discovered but Lind knew time was not on his side. He had bought so many already that others must suspect something. The current bidding showed that.

Such a set of jewels should be pursued by all but only about a third were battling it out bidding over it.

The powers that looked on at his goals were now wondering about his purchase of such mysterious items.

It gave him a headache but they were set up as much as they could be.

[The next item is actually 1 of 3. It is a helm made of what seems to be violet silver and fine adamantium. It is an excellent protection against any physical attack and disperses elements with ease.] Lind was about to ignore the item when his harmony reacted!

He glanced at the detail sheet and the helm had been used often but never claimed by a cultivator. It was simply worn as normal armor.

He placed a bid before anyone realized it. Confusion filled the room but his serious look made them all simply look back and the bids shot up like a rocket.

[115 thousand peak Qi stones is the current bid.] Fey's voice was calm but she was glancing at his suite more as he jumped to 125K stones.

Silence descended and he got the helm. He quickly had it delivered as the next item was put up.

The silver colored helmet did not react like the other treasures. His harmony did react but it was not as involuntary as before. He simply shrugged and put the helm on. It had a narrow opening that let the eyes be open with the bridge in between covered by metal.

His nose and mouth were exposed in a narrow channel from there but the rest of his head was covered entirely in the smooth helm. He channeled his harmony into it but there was no reaction.

He was confused now as he did not know why there was a reaction. He tried a dab of blood by cutting his finger next. Nothing.

He then tried weaving ever so gently. The instant his soul power touched the helm he felt like it was being sucked away! He could no longer control it!

Fear in his wives swept over them but he held up his hand to keep them back. Slowly, the flow slowed down and then he felt something odd. It was like the helm was merging with him and he understood, he needed the other 2 pieces!

Fey was currently putting up the chest piece and he began to bid. They bled Qi stones once more and it went over 200K peak stones! He winced as it was delivered . The chest piece was seemingly also silver and it was made for a much broader person.

Yet, the instant he put it on, the shape changed to conform to his body. The pull did not occur but he felt like the lock on the knowledge partially unlocked.

Silver Soul Armor! That was the name of the set! The final piece was the leg armor. Unlike the other 2, it was not used at all due to being in a fixed position. The knee joint was not a flexible piece but a solid part of the legs.

Again, it was a massive set of metal for a large frame. Unlike the last 2, Lind was able to secure it with only 98K peak Qi stones.

Once he had the final piece, it conformed and actually turned emerald! Lind felt knowledge flow into him as he understood the problem.

The armor was not meant for those below the Sovereign Tier. It was also not what Fey had said either! The intent of the armor was to bond to the soul! It was meant for an Immortal that lost their body!

He was amazed at the concept but confused how no one had figured it out. Weavers were not weak beings. They did not, however, risk their souls for any reason. Only his harmony reaction made him try it and it had been a terrifying experience.

The world was far more vast and it inspired him to think far outside the box. Why weren't there more artifacts for the soul alone?!

Difficult, yes, but the benefits had to be worth it!

"Lind, are you all right?" Qing was leaning over him but he smiled and then froze. His Eyes were not active but he could see the flow of souls around him! He could see the attachments to each of their bodies and understood how easy it would be to sever the bond now that he could see it!

His harmony flared and the metal artifact reacted. It initially welcomed the flow of power but he did not stop until the metal became molten. He was not Forging it. He was just destroying it.

The metal pooled around him as he let go of his flames.

"That was too dangerous to exist now that I activated it. Soul items are forbidden. Even I will not make them." His declaration seemed sudden but they trusted him. He also realized why that armor was created.

It was so a soul without a body could steal another's!

Clearly it had to have been used or something went wrong and the intent of it was forgotten. Lind buried it at that moment. He made a note to hunt down anyone that tried to imitate it and would explain later.

It also meant he had to look at the soul items not only as beneficial but dangerous too.

Things moved along and he knew that they had spent far too much for the armor. He could get maybe one more item so he would wait to see how his harmony reacted.

[The next item is a crystal lattice egg. It gathers natural Qi of all the elements and refines them to their purest state. It is an excellent–] Lind felt his harmony react but it was far weaker than the others. He waved it off.

The bidding passed 7 figures like it was nothing that time. Many Immortals would desire pure elemental power for seclusion. Laws and touching on Dao was easier if the elemental side was taken care of.

Lind found the idea intriguing and made a mental note to come back to it himself.

There were 2 more items that had a similar reaction so he let them go. The bidding became more active with his silence. It only confirmed his theory that people were watching his actions and had hopped in expecting him to drive up the price.

Lind thought he had exhausted all the items at that point that were helpful to him when his only flames suddenly went out of his control.

[This is the final material. It is a formation plate that has been used for cultivation or production. It helps focus the mind and even Laws according to some that have used it. It does demand a high price from the user. They destabilize their foundation with continuous use.] The last sentence caused a stir as it seemed like a dangerous item, but Lind did not care.

He suspected why it was and once the bidding opened he slammed his fist on the screen.

[Opening bid of–] Fey froze. Shock actually made her go paler than normal and it took a long time for her to speak again. [Opening bid of 3 million peak Immortal Qi stones.]

Pin drop silence filled the room. All heads turned as they knew only one suite had lit up for the bidding.

Some seemed to consider bidding but there were no peak Law Grade items about to start. Fey shook herself and called out 3 times for any more bids but none came.

His wives stared at him in shock but he did not care. He had to have that plate!
