Chapter 1333 - 1332 - The 6 Primordials Survived
Chapter 1333 - 1332 - The 6 Primordials Survived
Lind was not tossed out of the office nor was the Tree Immortal appearing to take him away. Instead, the flames calmly burned and the smell of ancient texts filled the room. The desk did vanish but little else did.
He sat there trying to absorb what he had just been told.
He had believed the 6 Primordials, cultivators with a single primary element, had been destroyed in one of the layers the Great One devastated.
Yet now, he realized they had survived! Not all of them, but some had!
Based on the fact the Inheritance of Creation was from Air, then the Inheritance of Death was likely darkness or earth. Reincarnation Inheritance was unknown but he would guess light as the most likely element.
Light had some esoteric uses that could extend to the soul in many ways from his experience.
He summoned a staff from his ring. It was a replica of the one he lost long ago but he now felt closer to the creators.
Finally, the tall woman appeared and her eyes were wide at the staff in his hands.
"You found their Inheritance from the Immortal Realm?" Lind felt her attitude had changed drastically with the revelation of the staff compared to before.
He nodded and revealed the Ruin he had found the staff in. The woman looked sad but she slowly nodded and bowed low to him.
"Now that the remnant is gone, I am in charge. The information here is free to peruse if you wish." She then vanished and left him to his own devices.
He thought he might have free reign but instead he found only selected jade slips and scrolls would let him examine them.
Most were simply more notes about the 3 Laws of the Inheritance but there were historical records too.
He found those fascinating.
It seemed the 6 Primordials were part of a faction that focused on improving the lower generations as much as possible. They focused not only on 6 elementals but all combinations.
They studied the inter-connected foundation of elements and got closer to his theories than any he had ever read about.
Further, he saw what came after.
The Primordial Darkness, Air, and Water were the ones that survived. The first 2 made up the 2 Inheritances he knew of with Water making up the last one.
They became legends as Divine Realms and joined a faction that focused on raising up the lower realms to fight the Fiends.
He also finally learned of the faction associated with him.
"So, the Samsara Faction are where the 2 of them come from." The rebirth of souls was far more advanced in the Divine Realm and a faction had chosen to tempt Fate by directly interfering in the process.
He saw the benefit as cultivators like him were the most likely to advance and sometimes need protection from the Fiends.
There was still not enough to fill in all the gaps but he read what happened to the 6 Primordials.
They fought the good fight for as long as they could but 2 of them died at the Sovereign Tier and the third one was betrayed by their allies to the Fiends. The last 3 then fought and survived for close to 50 million years before they were approached to create 3 Inheritances.
While there were no extensive details, he had a better idea of what was going on. The Inheritance of Death pushed contenders to the limits to find someone able to eventually reach the Dao of each Law applied.
The Inheritance of Creation did the same.
Combine both, and they unlocked the path of Reincarnation which covered a wide variety of legacies and benefits.
Lind also understood it was not so simple.
Each Inheritance had legacies that touched on all 3 paths but now he grasped that the final Inheritance was more than a trial for an Inheritor.
They wanted to push cultivators to the limit to grow faster.
The 2 Inheritors were to unlock the various aspects of the last Inheritance and push the trials to the very limits.
He studied the very basics but he found Divine Creator was right.
There was much he could benefit from if he went into the 3rd Inheritance. The 3 survivors had created a legacy from the original group of 6 study of the natural elements at the Divine level!
He could use his half-step Dao elemental nodes to see if their theories held up or needed modification!
Lind smiled at the thought and summoned several ores. He Forged at the limit of his ability before a new staff was created.
It embodied the new concepts of his own and the hints left behind by the Divine Creator. It was a pseudo-Dao weapon but no spirit was in it. He had learned that potential spirit tools were more important than directly making a spirit tool.
"I am ready to go." He simply spoke aloud and the tree woman appeared once more. She saw he had made several jade slips and the new staff. "I gift these to the Inheritance for those that are qualified."
Her pale eyes softened as she picked up the staff and bowed low to him.
"The creator of us all chose well." He bowed to her and the world shifted.
He found himself now outside of the Inheritance of Creation but back in the Silver Dream island. He was at the very edge where the 3rd Inheritance was supposed to be.
He glanced at his right arm and shook his head.
"Not yet." Just 2 words but he turned from the edge and looked for an inn to recover and review all he had discovered.
He had a long road ahead of him.

Silence was all he had known. Ever since the Inheritance had been created, he had been kept dormant until the precursor Inheritances were set in motion.
After that, he was partially awakened and allowed to track the progress. It had been a story of disappointment for centuries but now something had happened that was outside the parameters he was given.
There were 2 individuals that held the ultimate results of the 2 Inheritances alone. One was a strange woman who seemed to walk both paths but the other was a dragon that was far outside normal.
A 6 elemental was never expected by any of the creators, but there he was.
The being reviewing the 2 candidates felt like a miracle had happened twice.
The woman was already a miracle being able to incorporate the drastically different paths into a single body but the 6 elemental was able to obtain the near mythical legacy left with him.
He wept at the hope to come as both prepared to enter when they were at their peak but the being also felt like a shift in the world was coming.
Fate wanted to deny it but the 2 beings seemed to stand beyond it. He did not understand how that worked but he did not find it a bad sign.
So many had died playing by the rules so beings that defied Fate were not unwelcome.
He was about to dismiss the updates when a new one came in.
The strange dragon had made an improved version of the Primordial Staff! He summoned the peak Law Grade staff in the treasury and compared the 2.
The staff in his hands was pristine and many cultivators would sell their souls to have it but the pseudo-Dao Grade staff outstripped it in many aspects.
A smile spread on his face as hope bloomed in his heart. They had only hoped for someone like the woman but now the dragon showed their ultimate dream was possible.
The man put aside the results and tried to expand his aura beyond the limits of the Inheritance he was bound to.
He saw the mere Radiant Tiers scrambling to make a living in the Endless Peaks. Most were living in peace but he saw the expected troublemakers. They were children compared to the usual issues.
The lack of Fiends also was surprising but neither precursor Inheritance had access to the knowledge of the current status of the Endless Peaks.
He examined what he could and found the dragon 6 elemental. He was clearly focusing on his recovery and the growth of one of the spirit tools. It was wise but the other candidate was nowhere in his range.
She was likely also trying to reach her peak.
Hope bloomed in his eyes but he then felt tired as he had pushed his limits before the Inheritance was unlocked.
The man fell into a deep sleep but knew the next time he awakened, the Inheritance would be opened. The future would be so bright once that happened!
Darkness closed in as he curled up to sleep. He dreamed of the future and looked forward to the day the gates opened. At long last, the future of the Celestial Fields would change!
The damnable Fiends would rue the day they threatened the cultivators. His eyes closed and the world fell away as darkness claimed his mind.
