Chapter 1249 - 1248 - Manifestation vs Birth
Chapter 1249 - 1248 - Manifestation vs Birth
Birth! The spirit world was giving birth to life in the cultivation world! He was a massive idiot!
The little girl looked at him as his excitement grew. He had been trying to bypass the matter and energy requirements but ignored a mechanism already in place!
"THANK YOU!" He picked her up and twirled around the surface of the world. She laughed as he did so and then he returned to the game. Just because he got a lead did not mean he magically had everything worked out. He had to start over.
The game changed as the other spirit children appeared and they played tag through the skies and ever shifting landscapes. He immersed himself in the play to relax his mind and refresh his spirit.
Once that extended session was over he sat down and began weaving once more. That time, however, he was not trying to manipulate the world, but understand it. The spirit world operated on very different principles, obviously, so he had to understand the basics as it related to the birth of aether children.
Once that process was understood, or at least worked out enough to understand it, he could begin to formulate how feasible it was to artificially create a similar process.
It still did not overcome his material requirements but it gave him some ideas because of the nature of aether children and beasts that manifested. They did not appear in a vacuum!
The salamander was a good addition to the Fortune Way ecosystem as a lifeform. Other beasts were not randomly appearing across the realms either. They could increase the number of an existing species or simply be influenced by the environment.
He also knew up to drakes could manifest in the best mortal realms! Those were very powerful beasts!
It meant he had some criteria for what he needed to fill in. Manifestation was similar to birth in 2 aspects so far. The conditions had to be right and a compatible life would be born, but what chose a beast versus an aether child?
It was that dividing line he had yet to grasp.
It was but one of many but the most critical to start his research!
The weavings began floating away from him but his mind was with them. His senses, while not entirely lost with his body, had become far more limited. His Talents were still there but they could not endure as long as he liked.
Thus, he mimicked his Talents and senses with weaving! His soul could be empowered with weaving as well!
He assumed a lotus position as he began to assimilate the flow of information from the various emerald sigils orbs floating in the skies and along the world. It was a lot to take in at first, the chaos did not help, but he was focusing on specific phenomena.
The first vortex appeared in a sea of flames. He moved the weaving nearest to it and watched as a 4 limbed lizard took shape. It was a Soul Realm, just like all the manifested beings but he was just observing.
He saw the flow of material being absorbed not just by the vortex but by the newly born beast. It suddenly twitched before being sucked down into the vortex. Its destination was unknown but the kind of area was obvious.
"Scaled Mirror Lizard. Peak grade 2 beast materials too. It was not enough." He frowned as he found an inconsistency. His orb let him mimic his bestail senses enough to sense the aura of the lizard before it vanished but its body did not seem right.
It was not strong enough to match the aura. Yet, he knew somewhere in a mortal realm, it was perfectly fine.
He also noticed a new wrinkle he had missed. While the vortex was active, the local area of the world no longer shifted! It was stable naturally!
It had even shrunk visibly right at the end! It was at least 4 kilometers across when it started but was only 1 kilometer when it was over!
A massive loss but it was not commensurate with his previous calculations! It was far less!
"How is that possible?" He had no idea but the verbal words escaped him. He focused as time passed and he observed a few more beasts being born.
Each time, the environment was ideal for them, even 5 elemental beasts had the best conditions to form. The increase in elements did increase the material needed but again, not as much as his calculations showed him it should.
Some beasts consumed less but their quality was usually the lower end of the Soul Realm. It made a question form in his mind.
What dictated the quality of their foundation? Aether children were generally Soul Realms every time but beasts did vary on that point.
They could be born at the peak of the Soul Realm or at the very bottom of it.
He could not find the criteria but he added it to his list.
If the beasts were causing him confusion, it was nothing compared to the aether children. The beasts were born in relatively obvious environments in the world but the aether children were always born in the sky!
The silver clouds were the sole source of the elemental Qi but there seemed no rhyme or reason to it! He could not predict a single element when a vortex formed near a cloud.
There was something even more shocking to that, however.
While a direct correlation of material was consumed for beasts, aether children only had the silver cloud! The elements unused did disperse into the golden sky but that was the only thing that made sense of their process.
The various emerald weavings once scattered across the spirit world were now all focused on a vortex forming next to a massive silver cloud. He was collecting every single bit of information he could with all the senses he possessed or mimicked.
There were 2 major mysteries he could not seem to overcome. One was the vortex itself. There was no sign one would appear at any given time. It simply started and then the process became predictable.
The other was the current issue. What in the blazes dictated the aether child's birth?! He pushed his senses to the limit before he realized something he was sensing all the time but was denser now that he had all his senses looking for something different.
Heaven and Earth.
The presence of Heaven and Earth was felt coming from the vortex! He knew it came out in a mortal realm but the power he felt was far above that!
He had never felt such pressure from Heaven and Earth!
It was immediately followed by the formation of the body of the aether child. He looked on as Laws seemed to dance before 2 of them vanished into the body. Instantly, light and earth elements fused to make up the body of the aether child.
"Law of Solidity and Law of Frequency." Lind was shocked as he realized what he had just seen. The combination of those Laws would make an aether child that could create devastating earthquakes at the very least!
No one would compare to the control that aether child would have and he realized how Annabelle's illusions were so strong. Pure Law, the highest Law, was the foundation of all aether children's skills!
It was the foundation of their very being!
No wonder they had such power instinctively related to their elements!
It also made his eyes narrow. The beasts did not have the same result. They were more like powerful bodies made from the material of the spirit world but the Laws had to play a part there too.
"The imbalanced formula makes more sense but still missing key parts." It was the same for aether children. While a shape did appear in the vortex, it was not physical like it would be in the cultivation world.
Suddenly, Lind felt like slapping his head!
He had seen the salamander form with his own 2 eyes!
"The leftover material comes from the realm itself! It is like lightning!" Lighting could not just manifest from a single source. It was the interaction between the sky and the ground with the charges between them.
That presented a rather difficult problem to overcome. Assuming he could trigger a vortex to start to form his body and all the ideal conditions he needed to achieve it, how could he possibly get it to the correct realm?
All the aether beasts and children were Soul Realms and universally appeared in the mortal realms.
He suspected it was more complex than that as there were records of Heaven Realm lands manifestations but they were still in the Soul Realm no matter what.
He needed at least a Sliver Tier to survive. Even that would be pushing it.
He would need his body to be born in the Celestial Fields to have any hope of working so it left monumental hurdles but he at least had things to investigate!
Compared to the nigh impossible wall of overcoming physics, he at least had hope!
