Eternal Emerald Dragon

Chapter 1118 - 1117 - Radiant Strength

Chapter 1118 - 1117 - Radiant Strength

The 5th Prince had felt angry at the Emerald Immortal. It was even fair to say there was great distrust after the incident with his wife, but he now looked at what had once been a great forest near the capital city and it was just gone.

A still searing sea of molten lava flowed over hundreds of square kilometers but it would have been far worse if not for the same man acting to protect his home.

The unusual shape of a curve cut into the landscape right in front of the wall. Something far more powerful than their own defenses was able to stop the destruction for the most part. A shockwave still damaged people and objects but nothing lethal.

The one who took the brunt of it was the Emerald Immortal.

"This power is beyond us, Highness." Piercer of the Veil Immortal stood next to him. Despite being blindfolded, she could perceive the world with her gifts. At the moment, she categorically stated the lava sea was blank to her. It was power beyond her reach.

"From what Lady Chu told us, it was not an Art that did it but an accident. She stated it was the first time the Emerald Immortal used that Art after refining it to the Crystal Tier level but this devastation…" Immortals could completely wipe the landscape in a fight between them but to transform it was far beyond them.

Only one level of Immortal could do that.

Radiant Tier. The qualitative step in the Immortal Realm.

They had records of ancestors ascending to such a level now and again but all of them were quite clear that even the weakest Radiant could transform the world in the 2nd layer to their whim.

He felt a cold sweat break out on his back as he realized he had yelled at and accused such a powerful Immortal!

Just what kind of monsters were these 2? Maester Taren Cord had already left a mark but now his associate was even more terrifying!

Why had no one heard of them until they exploded on the scene? Even in the current age, such monstrous talents should not be so easy to hide away!

"Your Highness, the Strider repairs are complete, we are able to move on at any time." A soldier hopped up out of the hatch to report to them but he held up his hand.

"I suspect we should wait for Father's envoy. They will want to address the Emerald Immortal upon his awakening." The soldier then seemed to fidget and the prince narrowed his eyes as the wind carried his red hair briefly. "What?"

"About that, the Emerald Immortal is out there." The soldier pointed to the devastated fields and was shocked to see the dirty blonde hair and gray robes of the man himself. His wife was with him and even at that distance, the Prince could tell she was angry.

"What is he doing down there?" The 5th Prince was about to head down when black clouds gathered above them. No way! He was going to do something insane again?!

The once sunny day was quickly replaced by the darkening clouds that gained density very quickly as thunder rumbled. Qi was thickening in the air to the point it was visible to the naked eye! How was he doing that?!

A cool wind suddenly blew over them and the pressure bottomed out but still the clouds became denser still until suddenly pressure pushed down on them all.

"Highness, we shoul–" Piercer of the Veil Immortal was pulling on his shoulder when both of them saw the Emerald Immortal stumble.

The black clouds began to collapse the same as before! What fresh disaster was about to be unleashed?!

Why was he doing that?!

The 5th Prince forgot his fear as anger rose until the collapse stopped and the clouds shifted to a deep green color. A feeling he was intimately familiar with came from them. Healing. It was the feeling of a healing pill!

The condensed cloud began to break apart and fall on the land around them. It had no effect on the people or the structures but the land was drastically different!

The once horrifying laval sea cooled and became earth! It was not obsidian but earth!

The entire stretch was transformed! Compared to the violent explosion from before, it was almost anticlimactic but then the 5th Prince felt his jaw drop!

Trees, brush, and even precious herbs appeared! They grew at an accelerated rate until the trees towered as they once had before! They were not as profound, maybe Soul Realm at best, but still it was fully recovered!

His anger was shattered and true fear filled his body. Anyone, even mortals, knew it was simple to destroy. Accidents happen and while guilt would still be applied, the fact remained destruction was all too easy on scales few could accept easily.

The previous battle had wiped out life in all directions, which was not already killed by the beast tide and the parasitic Shimmering Shadow Fungus. The demonic plants were dangerous in many ways but that one had shocked them all.

Now, that same destroyed area was full of life! Not just any life but the very same life that had been wiped out! How was that possible?!

To recreate life was not easy, especially in that destroyed land. How had he pulled out anything alive from that decimated land?!

"Radiant Tier, how can he be anything but a Radiant Tier?" The 5th Prince spoke but it was Piercer of the Veil that denied him.

"He is not. Look at him, Highness. Doing that completely wiped him out again. I think he simply learned from his mistake and tried to at least revitalize the land. The plant growth may be yet another unintended consequence. I can at least certify he is only a Crystal Tier and not a peak one either." Her words calmed him but at the same time left him with a new terror.

If the Emerald Immortal was only a mid or High Crystal Tier, how terrifying would he become just reaching the peak?!

It was not unheard of for peak Crystal Tiers to touch on Radiant strength but even then it was only in reference to certain aspects, not their Arts!

Arts, conjuring, and other aspects simply could not break that limit. Physical strength, endurance, and even spirit strength could. So now they had an Immortal that broke that understanding by accident and intentionally!

Emerald Immortal was carried away by Lady Chu and she was both irritated with concern mixed in. They could not dare move now. His Father would demand an explanation as the soldiers had already sent a message about the devastation!

"I want a scouting party out there now! I want a full report and bring back any ripe samples that do not affect the ecosystem from getting stronger!" He saw the soldier snap out of being as stunned as them before bowing and hopping down the hatch.

The pair left turned back to the now vital forest and could see no sign aside from the crater shape to it that a sea of lava had been there before.

"Just where in the world did he come from?" He was too focused on the new forest to see Piecer of the Veil Immortal recall all she had seen. She wanted to tell her prince but she had sworn not to.

Still, even that knowledge did not reveal to her the source of such strength. She saw flashes of his past and knew he had initially struggled with Arts and had to use the world around him to survive.

After he reached the World Realm and became a dragon soul, that changed drastically. Combining the world and his own Qi had made explosive strength on top of his changing body.

She also knew that while the Art incident was an accident in truth, the man himself possessed Radiant Tier strength all on his own.

He could have decimated that fungus with ease in his true form.

Dragons were insanely strong to begin with but even she had not come across one that could do what he did. What was the secret to that strength? She could not see it even in the past!

All she saw were visions but in one of them she distinctly recalled emerald flames appearing when his strength was insane. What was that flame?

She had no answers but a glance to the west revealed a small cloud getting closer on the horizon. The King had sent a force by qilin as quickly as possible. They had to prepare for them and make sure the Emerald Immortal did nothing else before they got there!

"Highness, an envoy is coming." Her words snapped him out of it and the 5th Prince smiled at her before they both descended back into the Strider. The King would want detailed answers and more.

The world was changing. He could feel it and a part of him was excited. Could they benefit from that change? Could it help their land rise back into the sky where it belonged? He hoped so. He really did.
