Eternal Emerald Dragon

Chapter 1000 - 999- Pleasure Interrupted

Chapter 1000 - 999- Pleasure Interrupted

The Eternal Flame Sect Master was a simple man most of the time. He wanted the world to obey his commands and his woman to bend to his will at all times. It was all he needed but fools kept defying him and pesky rules told him what he could and could not do.

His plans had all gone awry just when it seemed to come together. He had been too impetuous when he banished Delenn to the mortal realms like that.

He could never retrieve her but at the time he thought he would. Only as he advanced further in his weaving did he fully grasp the futility of his actions.

Sending someone away was fairly easy, but actively defying the order of Heaven and Earth to retrieve them would only result in his death.

He had been resigned to it even more when the Corruption locked them all away in the 2nd layer.

Then, as if Heaven rewarded his patience, she had returned. He had come for her but disaster struck in ways no one could predict.

The destruction of the kukan Gate was entirely outside his plans but on top of that, the repair time was ridiculous. He could not restrain himself nor his followers for so long!

He still tried to be circumspect with so many rival powers representatives nearby but things became intolerable as they kept bothering him about his activities!

Then a surprising ally showed up looking for their own prey! Instead of slinking in quietly, they arrived loudly! Ogros Kingdom fell and the Shandor Syndicate joined up with him!

The woman that arrived was alluring, but even he felt his instincts warn him off. What happened to the former City Lord only confirmed that but the fall of the Eternal Blossom Sect cemented his caution.

For all her dark beauty, she was not to be trifled with. They had 7 Crystal Tiers now ruling the former city and sect lands.

If they could consolidate their gains, they would have new territory directly in the midst of the Midas Throne territories!

It would give him access to new materials and trade he could use to stave off the convocation issues looming over him. The fall of the Eternal Blossom Sect helped but it was only 1 vote in that meeting.

He was currently indulging an orgy of pain. He had found several promising youths with high tolerance and enjoyed as they tried to resist being flayed alive to being dismembered.

He liked testing new techniques and some subjects surprised him. It brought him such joy before taking their souls!

The more standard orgy was not as enjoyable for him but mostly it was due to the fact their souls were harder to extract without risk. He could not get any higher than the moment the soul broke!

As he was washing up for the next round and examining which tool to use next, the room doors burst open. His assistant froze but then bowed low.

"It had better be worth your life as that is what is on the line." The words were not an exaggeration or threat, simply a statement of fact.

The young man flinched but did not move.

"My lord, the city has reported that the pens are empty." It was straight to the point and made the sect master freeze.

The death toll had been higher than he liked but they had been able to secure a good crop of product for Shandor Syndicate while leaving plenty of toys for himself and his people.

"Explain." It was important so he put his enjoyment aside.

"I have only received the report this morning but sometime after the sundown count and the morning replacement, all the pens were emptied out. No guards were killed nor do they recall seeing anything." A vein throbbed on the sect master's head.

He picked up a very thin blade and began to examine it intensely which only made the young man shiver more.

"Anything else?" The 2 words were ice cold. They were devoid of any humanity at all. His black eyes were voids to the worst hells imaginable to the young man.

"One thing. There was a report that one of the Shandor Immortals has not been seen since last night either. Our men thought he was to possibly to blame at first but then it was discovered he specialized in battle, not playing around. His charge has also been found missing." That made the sect master pause.

He found that strange but too coincidental to be unrelated.

"No evidence of a battle?" The young man shook his head.

"There was nothing at all. It was not clear when or how it happened. No traces could be found, just like the pens." The Sect Master found that truly disturbing.

Sneaking away a single Immortal and their charge was one thing, but nearly a million people was impossible in a single night without anyone knowing how it was done!

It was not possible! The disturbance in space alone would have drawn attention if it was possible which it was not. The only other way would be a formation but that too would have drawn attention just to set it up.

No matter what scenario he thought up, and he had thought of quite a few, nothing could pull it off without being caught!

He was about to dismiss the man when a thought occurred to him.

"Who was the Immortal guarding and where?" The young man quickly bowed low.

"His charge was the grade 6 weaving expert the Shandor Syndicate brought and they were near pen 17." The Sect Master began to smile.

A weaver! There was a weaver at work!

That could slip past all but another weaver! Someone knew about that weaver and took care of them first before they got to work!

"I will go and inspect the pens. Tell that woman I am on my way." He quickly killed and pulled the souls of his current toys. It was not enjoyable but that was no longer the point.

He wanted to go for a few more days but the longer he waited, the less that would be left behind.

He enhanced his body with Qi and flew across the road until he was back in the ruins of Kun City.

He relished the fall of the city. It was a true victory and had let him vent his anger at being trapped so far from his sect. The work on the Gate did not stop, but it did switch hands. Midas Throne no longer fronted the cost but it was a small matter for the Shandor Syndicate.

Once their new base was up and running, a working Gate would be essential.

He came to the nearest pen. It was a glorified burned out husk of a warehouse in the former financial quarter. It was used by an auction warehouse from what he recalled.

It was now converted into a pen by salvaging the materials of other buildings that had not been burned down. It had been reinforced with formations as enough collars were brought over to begin the enslaving process.

The Ogros Kingdom was also having a similar situation but was in far better shape than the Kun City as ravaging an entire kingdom was not possible. It was also counter productive for the Shandor Syndicate.

He saw the guards were trembling at his approach but he did not care as he was no longer after them. He let his fingers glow with blood red light as he brushed the air. He was shocked at what he felt.

A vibrant sigil was still there but fading as it was left behind. He had never seen such a powerful sigil. He tried to figure out what it was for but he had never seen one like it before. It was elegant and truly beautiful to his eyes.

"Law Grade. A spirits cursed Law Grade Weaver! No wonder we could not sense a thing!" He felt his blood boil but as he examined the engraving, he froze.

The few traces left were glorious but that was not all, they were familiar. It should be because it was from his earlier legitimate work!

Someone had studied one of his weavings up close and with incredible attention to detail. The level of comprehension was monstrous but it confused him. The only place to examine his work in the last million years was in his sect.

There were no other places that–

His eyes went wide as he recalled the very report that brought him out to the thrice cursed city. A Triple Maester in the company of Delenn!

The man that set her free was the same Triple Maester! When did they come back?! Why?!

It did not make sense at all because the entire area was under their control. The last 7 years confirmed they were nowhere in the vicinity. So how did they come back without being noticed?!

"Someone tell your superiors that the Triple Maester is back! We need the weavers to start setting up engravings across the city!" He shouted to the guards who ran to fulfill his orders.

The enemy had made a wonderful first attack but revealed their hand. It was intentional. It was to announce to them who their enemy was for some reason but he did not care. All that mattered was Delenn was back in his grasp. He just had to find her!
