Dumped A Scumbag At The Altar For A One Night Stand With A Billionaire

Chapter 249: Love Expert

Chapter 249: Love Expert

The skies had darkened by the time Natalia decided to leave. She and Celine had talked the whole day; though it had been quite down and a bit sad at first, after they shared their internal feelings, Celine brightened things up, and they hung out talking about happier things.

Natalia had just walked out of the mansion, heading for her car, when she suddenly stopped in her tracks. Standing a little distance away from her was Christopher, who had just been about to get into his car as well, which was parked right beside her own.

Natalia couldn’t help but stare at him for longer than she wanted. She wanted to look away, walk away, but her feet remained glued to the ground.

Christopher wordlessly stared back at her as well. He opened his mouth as if to speak but then stopped himself. In the end, he stepped aside as if to make way for her to pass through; he must have thought that she’d probably stopped because he was standing in her way.

Natalia came back to her senses as he moved aside. She glanced at her car, then back at Christopher again.

’He’s definitely in love with you!’

’...one had you and let you go only to return three years after claiming to still want you, another loves you deeply—he hadn’t erased your name from his heart even after eight years, and never once did he replace you with another. Don’t you think that’s the kind of true love you’ll never lose?’

Celine’s words once again rang in her head. For a few seconds, she looked at his handsome face; her heart, that never seemed to listen to her or her fears of the potential pain, skipped a beat. She knew she’d fallen, she’d already fallen, but... the pain that would eventually come with it was something she wasn’t brave enough to face.

Natalia hurriedly walked past him. Getting into her car, she shut the door, ignited the engine, and drove away.

Christopher watched as her car drove out of the large gates of Tristan and Celine’s home. A hurt look came on his face, but he sighed, got into his own car, and drove off.

"What are you watching, love?" Tristan hugged Celine from behind. She was out standing on the terrace, the night wind blowing her silky dark hair.

Celine smiled, leaning into her husband’s embrace, filling her senses with the familiar scent of him that always calmed and soothed her.

"Did you see that? She obviously loves him, but she’s trying to stay away from him," Celine said.

Tristan, who had also witnessed the scene, smiled as he replied, "Hmm, why does that sound familiar?"

Turning to him with a relaxed smile on her face, Celine said, "Of course it sounds familiar, you did the exact same thing to me."

"What? Why do I remember that it was you who did that to me?"

She playfully nudged him with her elbow, and he chuckled, kissing her cheek before he said,

"But you know what? Let her stay away from him as much as she can bring herself to. If I know anything about this, it’s that the more she stays away, the more it hurts, and the more she realizes how much he means to her."

"Yes, I hope she realizes that, because seeing her hurt pains me. I want her to be happy; she deserves that after everything she’s been through," Celine remarked softly, watching the gates from where the duo had just driven off.

Tristan hugged her even tighter. "You don’t have to worry, I’ve never seen my cousin so attached to a woman before. I’m absolutely certain he won’t give up on her."

Celine nodded, and nestled further into Tristan’s arms. The couple held each other, enjoying the calming night breeze that fluttered by.

Christopher stared aloofly at the young man sitting across from him in the spacious living room of the sky villa, a place Chris had rented to attend Tristan’s wedding here in Neville but because of Natalia he’d ended up moving to a smaller apartment just to be by her side.

"What? You want dating advice from me?" Ivan, Chris’s personal assistant asked incredulously.

One, he would have never thought he’d see this day, his boss never even looked at women not to mention being attracted to them, him asking for dating advice was a huge deal.

"Yes." Tristan was the one who replied calmly in place of Christopher. "I don’t know much about women, but I’m sure you do."

"I hear people calling you a love expert." Chris added.

Ivan, apparently had a big history with women, he might just be a CEO’s personal assistant but he’d utilized the connections from the job really well to date Senator’s daughters, beautiful heiresses and still broke their heart.

Kaleb who was sitting at the same table cleared his throat to make his presence known but the other men ignored him.

’Boss, I worked painstakingly hard to get you and your wife together, I could also be considered a love expert, why is no one asking me for advice?’ he complained internally.

Ivan didn’t refute that, he had a very vast, extensive experience when it came to dating so people gave him a nickname.

He looked at Christopher, holding back the laughter that was about to burst out of his mouth, though he wanted to help, it was well known that Christopher did not get involved with women, and now seeing him asking for advice made Ivan want to make fun of him, but of course he wouldn’t do so openly or he might lose his job.

"Well, you are quite right about that, I do know what there is to know about how to get a woman, it’s just that..." Ivan trailed off, scratching his head awkwardly.

"Just that what?" Christopher asked impatiently. He didn’t like the idea of coming to take orders from this unruly assistant of his, but his situation with Natalia was such that he no longer had any ideas on how to deal with it anymore.

"Er... it’s just that there’s this girl I really like, well not just like, I’m in love with her and she’s different from any other girl I’ve been with before...and I still haven’t made her mine yet. I thought I knew women and how to win their hearts, but I’m also kinda in the same situation," Ivan admitted, feeling frustrated about the fact that he was still relentlessly pursuing his lady till this moment without any positive results.

He might have played around in the past but it could be said now that he had fallen, and there was no going back. He could he help someone else when he couldn’t even help himself?

Christopher massaged his temples. Of course, what else could he expect from this playboy of an assistant?

"But I can still help, just tell me the situation and I’ll come up with a solution. Maybe I can help you solve your trouble even if I can’t solve mine," Ivan suggested.

"No need, it seems you know nothing about the subject matter either." Tristan cut him off.

With a confident smile, Kaleb cut in. "Now this is where I come in. My baby and I have been dating for over five years, we’ll be getting married soon so it’s safe to say I have the most experience here at this table when it comes to women and how they think."

All eyes turned to Kaleb now, even Ivan seemed interested as he has a dating problem he was yet to fix.

Kaleb lifted his chin confidently, "I need to know the whole detail to come up with a solution."

"I did something bad to her in the past. I promised I’d come back for her, but I never did, and now she seems to hate me for that," Christopher explained succinctly.

Kaleb seemed to be in thought for some time before he said with a frown, "This doesn’t seem to be much of a big problem to me."

"What do you mean?" Christopher asked.

"From what you just said, I don’t think you have to do too much to win her heart, because she’s already in love with you."

Surprise and disbelief surfaced in Christopher’s dark eyes.
