Dragon System: Red Dragon Legacy

Chapter 73: The Girlfriend And The Mistress

Chapter 73: The Girlfriend And The Mistress

"Hoh, I gotta say I feel a lot lighter now that I came clean to you," Orion spoke as he sat back down on the sofa after they broke their kiss.

"I still can’t believe you have the Red Dragon’s soul." She paused. "Wait... does this mean you are the Red Dragon now?"

Orion shrugged.

"Who knows. But Lilian, I won’t force you to be part of my goal. If it’s too much for you, I understand. I know you hate the Demon Queen. So if you don’t want to, don’t force yourself."

"What? Are you planning to abandon me?" she spoke, her aura turning oppressive.

"What? No. You know what I mean."

Lilian chuckled.

"Don’t worry. I hated the Demon Queen when she was just the Demon Queen, but after learning all this and her being the daughter of the Red Dragon, she doesn’t sound too bad." Her eyes narrowed. "But promise me one thing—you won’t make her your girlfriend when we rescue her."

Orion didn’t answer for a moment, and that alone made Lilian furious.

"I mean, I can’t promise something I’m not sure I can keep. What if she’s really hot?"

"You—" Lilian started punching Orion. "You dirty, dirty man!"

Just like that, Orion spent another peaceful evening with Lilian, one that had all the potential to turn disastrous.

Later that night, they returned to the balcony where they had first arrived, only to see Revo and Josephine already standing there.

"Oh, hi Orion and Lilian. Come here," Josephine called out.

"So I heard you guys arrived a couple of hours before us. How did you clear those floors so fast?" Revo asked.

"Well... the monsters were weak, I guess." Orion scratched his head.

Josephine rolled her eyes.

"Or maybe you two are just freaks."

Orion chuckled at her words.

"By the way... about last time. Is it really true he has two girlfriends now? Including you?" Josephine asked hesitantly.

Lilian sighed.

"Yes, it’s true." Then she stared at Orion. "He is a bad, bad man."

"Wow, you’re a legend, man!" Revo shouted. "You already have a harem at this age!" Then his expression fell. "While I’ve never even had a single girlfriend."

"What?" Josephine asked, shocked. "The way you were hitting on every girl in the academy, I thought you already had a million girlfriends."

She burst out laughing.

"Don’t tell me they all turned you down. Hahaha!"

Revo’s eyes grew teary.

"Stop it. It’s not like I’m ugly or anything. I just don’t understand why girls don’t like me."

Josephine finally managed to calm down.

"Maybe because you’re just too desperate." Saying that, she started laughing again.

Although Orion enjoyed watching Revo suffer, he had work to do. He had come with Lilian, hoping for some quiet time together, but that plan was long gone. After a bit more conversation, they said goodbye and returned to Orion’s room.

Lilian sat on his bed.

"So what are you going to do now?"

Orion quickly changed into something more formal.

"I’m going to meet Sofia. You want to come?"

"Wait... are you going to use teleportation?" Lilian’s eyes lit up.

"Uh-huh. So what do you say?"

"No thanks. If you’re going to meet your mistress, I don’t think the presence of your girlfriend would be a good idea."

Orion chuckled at how she labeled herself the girlfriend and Sofia the mistress.

"Don’t call her a mistress," he said. "We’re just going to hang out, so why don’t you come, please?" he pleaded.

"Oh... alright." She agreed as she was excited to experience his teleportation skill anyway.

"Wait. If she’s at home, how will you get her out without her parents noticing?" Lilian asked.

Orion froze.

"Oh shit. I didn’t think of that." He thought for a moment. "Wait—I think I know her room’s window. If I teleport directly there, it shouldn’t be a problem, right?"

Lilian sighed at his determination but nodded anyway.

"Teleportation."

A portal formed inside their room. Lilian’s eyes sparkled. Orion stepped closer and took her hand.

"Ready?" he asked.

She nodded, and together they stepped through.

They appeared right outside Sofia’s house.

"I’ll wait here. Go bring your ’lover,’" Lilian said, air-quoting the last word.

Orion rolled his eyes. With a deep breath, he focused on the window ledge of Sofia’s room.

"Teleportation."

He appeared outside her window on the third floor, and for a brief moment, he felt a little scared. Slowly, he pushed the window open and slipped inside.

The room lights flicked on instantly.

Bang!

An arrow shot toward him. Orion barely dodged in time. The arrow got stuck on the wall.

"Wait, calm down, Sofia. It’s me—Orion!" Orion said as he saw Sofia aiming at him again.

Sofia frowned in confusion. He was supposed to be in Zandvoort. How did he appear here? She wasn’t convinced.

"Are you really Orion?" Her eyes narrowed. "Then say something only he and I would know."

Orion sighed.

"You have a birthmark right above your ass."

Sofia’s eyes widened.

"It’s really you... But how did you get here? No—the better question is, weren’t you in Zandvoort?"

She rushed forward and hugged him.

"Whoa... slow down. I’ll tell you everything," he said.

Then they both sat on Sofia’s bed.

"So tell me, fast. I’m getting restless here," Sofia urged.

"Okay. You know about teleportation portals, right?" Orion asked.

"Yeah... my family owns one. So you used a teleportation portal?" She looked surprised. There was no way someone would burn that many resources just so he could visit his girlfriend.

"Technically yes, but not the one you’re thinking of."

At his words, Sofia tilted her head, confused by what Orion meant.

Then, with a grin—

"Teleportation."

A teleportation portal appeared in the middle of the room.

"Wait... that—that..." She was at a loss for words.

"I’ll explain everything, but first, do you want to get out of here and talk somewhere else?"

Sofia didn’t need to be asked twice.

"Let’s go!" she said, climbing onto his shoulder, momentarily forgetting about the portal.

"What are you, a child?" Orion muttered.

Saying that, Orion stepped through the portal with Sofia on his shoulder.
