Chapter 375: New Factories

It was a sumptuous dinner and Lin Xuan Qi could finally have a taste of Auntie Sue’s culinary skills once again.

All the dishes were as good as he had remembered them to be.

The braised beef was tender and juicy with its savory sauce as usual.

But it wasn’t the only outstanding one.

The roasted duck was also great with its oily and crispy skin.

With every bite he took of the roasted duck’s skin, it gave out a crunching sound.

No one can reject the skin of the roasted duck.

Its meat was equally great, being tender and juicy with all of it preserved inside the duck’s meat.

Xue Cong and Yue Jie were busy as usual, picking up the food for him, and he got back to being used to being treated like a king.

Life is great, he thought while he stuffed another mouthful of the meat Xue Cong had for him.

Yue Xin and Liu Shi Shi were also enjoying the meal like he was.

And it was especially so for Yue Xin.

After being busy for so many days preparing and cooking, she was glad to be back and have Auntie Sue take care of everything.

The meal ended relatively quickly with Lin Xuan Qi, Yue Xin and Liu Shi Shi focused on the food.

The others let them be.

Since they were already back, there was more than enough time to talk about the trip if they wanted to.

Back in his bedroom, Lin Xuan Qi sat down and slumped in his chair from the sumptuous meal he had.

Xue Cong helped him pour a cup of tea and sat beside him.

She glanced at him and asked, "So, was there anything interesting about the trip?"

"Interesting?" Lin Xuan Qi looked up to the corner with his eyes for a moment and said, "I’ve only spent time with all the young masters.

"It was either Sima Long, or Huo Fei Li... or worse, it would be with young master Heng, Leng and Beng.

"Nothing much of interest happened."

"No, I meant with Yue Xin and Liu Shi Shi." Xue Cong frowned and shook her head at him.

"Yue Xin and Liu Shi Shi?" Lin Xuan Qi smirked and said, "There were indeed a lot of interesting things that happened between us.

"What do you want to hear about first?"

She knew that he was teasing her and she frowned at him.

Lin Xuan Qi took a sip of the teacup and put it down onto the table.

He shrugged his shoulders, gave out a sigh and said, "Fine, there wasn’t much going on between us.

"But you might need to get busy soon."

"Busy? You mean they are..." She glanced at him with an astonished look and then glanced down at her belly.

Lin Xuan Qi rolled his eyes at her and said, "No. I meant that you might need to prepare for the wedding soon."

Xue Cong nodded her head and said, "I will get it done."

It was a long time coming and she was glad that Yue Xin and Liu Shi Shi would finally be given the status that they deserved.

"Go and seek help from Madam Sai if you need to." Lin Xuan Qi added on and said.

Madam Sai, the matchmaker for their wedding earlier, had helped a lot with all the preparations and customs, so he thought that it might be great to enlist her help once again.

"I will." Xue Cong also thought about the same thing and she nodded her head.

She also began to think about all the things that needed to be done.

It wasn’t too long ago that she was doing it for her own wedding and this time, she had to do it for someone else.

"Don’t think too much about it for now, there is still time." Lin Xuan Qi brushed his finger across her cheek when he saw her deep in thought.

Before she could say anything else, he stood up from his seat, washed up and rested early for the night.

Lin Xuan Qi woke up early after a good night’s sleep.

He had breakfast and went to the factories immediately afterwards.

First, he went to the factory in the south and the workers were happy when they saw him arrive.

"What? So many orders?" The supervisor couldn’t believe his ears when he heard the orders that they had to deliver for the dealers in the Capital City, Bian Jing.

It was a total of a hundred and fifty tonnes on top of what Liu Shao and Hun Xiong Kun had ordered.

They were only three quarters done with the orders for Liu Shao and Hun Xiong Kun and it seemed like a herculean task to complete it within a month.

Lin Xuan Qi nodded his head and said, "I know that it will be difficult for all of you for the next few days, but I will try and expand the factory as soon as possible with additional manpower."

The supervisor nodded his head and said, "Thanks, Master Lin. We will do our best."

"Let the workers know that there will be a bonus of three hundred copper coins if they can accomplish it in time." Lin Xuan Qi said and the supervisor quickly bowed at him.

"Master Lin, we’ve already gotten so many things from you, there isn’t a need for such a lucrative reward.

"All of us will try our best even if there aren’t any rewards." The supervisor said.

But Lin Xuan Qi knew better that it was the best incentive for them to work twice as hard and he shook his head at the supervisor.

"No. It is what I’ve promised all of you when I recruited you into the factory." Lin Xuan Qi said and the supervisor nodded his head.

"Make sure the production keeps going, I will try and get a new factory in the meantime." Lin Xuan Qi said and left the factory to seek out the new location for another one.

After he got out from the factory with Lee He Song following closely behind, he checked on the buildings that were nearby in the area.

Most of them were warehouses that were suitable for him to convert into factories with the least hassle.
