Xue Cong and Yue Jie was surprised that there were something for them.
They glanced over at Lin Xuan Qi and he nodded his head at them.
"Have you gotten something for yourself?" Yue Jie asked and Yue Xin nodded her head at Yue Jie.
Both Xue Cong and Yue Jie chose a pair earring and necklace out of the jewelry that were from Huo Qi Nian respectively.
After they tried the jewelry on, they turned over at Lin Xuan Qi.
Xue Cong had her hair bundled up and the earring which was a jade in the shape of a tear dangled from her ears, making her look lively whenever they swayed with every moment she made.
The necklace that was made of pearl drooped over Yue Jie’s chest and it accentuated her voluptuous bosoms even more.
Lin Xuan Qi nodded his head at them as he marveled at their beauty, a sight that he had missed.
"There are other gifts too and this time its from me." Yue Xin didn’t stop and she got out the other gifts that they’ve bought from Bian Jing.
She took out the hairpins and bracelets she got for Xue Cong and Yue Jie.
Yue Jie frowned when she saw what she had bought.
"You shouldn’t have." She shook her head and said while gesturing to all the items that were on here body.
Yue Xin shrugged and helped them put on the hairpins and bracelets.
After she was done, she took a step back and marveled at her handiwork.
Just then, a familiar voice sounded in the main hall.
"Master Lin! Me so happy." Zhi Yong waved at Lin Xuan Qi with a huge smile while he entered main hall.
Following closely behind him was Lee He Song with his sword in his hand.
"Master Lin, glad to see you back." Lee He Song cupped his hands at Lin Xuan Qi and said.
Lin Xuan Qi gave them a nod and said, "I’m glad to be back too."
He glanced over at Zhi Yong took out the storybooks that he had bought for Zhi Yong as gifts and said, "These are storybooks I think you will like."
"Thanks. Me so happy." Zhi Yong slapped the back of his head and said.
Even thought he still haven’t heard the ending of the story about Sun Le, he believe that Master Lin would continue the story with him very soon.
He flipped one of the storybooks and he got excited when he saw that there were pictures about the story in the pages.
When he have free time for it, he would go through all the stories in one sitting.
Liu Shi Shi also had something for Lee He Song and she took out the wine gourd she had gotten in Bian Jing.
"I hope it’s suitable for you."
"It’s great! Just in time for me to change to a new one." Lee He Song chuckled and compared the old and new wine gourds in his hands.
And that was not all.
"There are deserts and biscuits that I’ve bought for everyone." Lin Xuan Qi stood up and gestured at the pile of desert and biscuits that he had bought from Bian Jing.
The others proceeded to grab a bite of the deserts and biscuits.
Lin Xuan Qi sat back down onto his chair and he glanced over at Xue Cong, "Here are my gifts for you, your parents and Ah Di."
He took out a gold necklace for Xue Cong, a chisel for Old Shao, a bracelet for Mei Jiao and a set of stationary for Ah Di.
"You shouldn’t have..." Xue Cong shook her head and said but he ignored her.
Lin Xuan Qi helped to put on the gold necklace for her and when he got close to her, she could feel his breath on her face.
After he was done, he took a step back and saw that it looked perfect on her.
The gold necklace was linked with delicate links in the shape of a peach.
It sparkled in the sun, and the reflection beamed onto her delicate face, and gave her an aura like an immortal.
He nodded to himself with a smile.
Xue Cong was happy with all the gifts she got and she glanced down at the necklace being glad with it.
"You really shouldn’t have... You must have been so busy with the business and yet you have to find the time for all the gifts." She said with a frown when she thought about how it might have been for Lin Xuan Qi.
Lin Xuan Qi shook his head at her and assured her, "Don’t worry. I was well taken care of."
He held onto her hand, rubbed his finger on the back of Xue Cong’s hand.
Xue Cong blushed and nodded at him.
After he was done with Xue Cong, Lin Xuan Qi turned his focus at Yue Jie.
"And, here is my gift for you." He glanced at Yue Jie and he took out a hairpin that he had bought for her.
"I have one too?" Yue Jie was pleasantly surprised and she glanced at the hairpin.
The hairpin was made of white jade and carved with intricate patterns.
When Lin Xuan Qi put it onto her hair, it contrasted nicely with her black flowing hair.
He took a step back to marvel at Yue Jie and he was also satisfied with the hairpin on Yue Jie.
"How do I look?" Yue Jie lowered her head and asked.
"You look perfect." Lin Xuan Qi said and it made her blushed.
After he had presented his gifts, Xue Cong stood up from her seat and said, "Alright, it’s time to have our ’welcome back’ meal for Master Lin so that he and the others can have a good rest after such a long journey."
The others nodded their heads in agreement and they proceeded to the dining hall.
It has been a while for Lin Xuan Qi to do something as mundane as walking to the dining hall with Xue Cong and Yue Jie, but it certainly felt great for him to be able to do so again.
He was glad for the moment.
