Chapter 193: I Am The Person You Were Looking For!

Caspian’s POV

What the hell? How did I get dragged into this mess once again?

Damian was the one who dug his own grave, and now I had to pull him out of it.

The moment I got his call, I wanted to strangle him. Just a few months ago, I was ready to destroy him, and now? Now I was rushing to save his ass from Evander’s wrath.

This better be worth it, or I swear I will kill him myself. That brat... He didn’t even bother to tell me the whole story, yet he expected me to come running to his rescue?

How the hell was I supposed to defend him when I didn’t even know what I was defending him from?

I gripped the steering wheel tighter, speeding down the eerily silent road. The air was thick with tension, and I could already picture Evander unleashing hell inside the mansion. But when I finally arrived and stepped in, I was met with... silence.

What the hell?

No shouting. No chaos. No sign of Damian begging for his life.

"Damn it! Don’t tell me he pranked me!" I muttered, running a hand through my hair in frustration.

A maid approached and placed a glass of water on the table in front of me. I grabbed it and took a sip before turning to her. "Where is Little Master? And others?’

She bowed slightly. "Since it’s already late and they haven’t arrived yet, the Young Master has gone to sleep."

Not arrived yet? Seriously?

I sat back on the couch, exhaling sharply. So, while I was speeding here, expecting to walk into a battlefield, Damian had the audacity to come late!

That idiot better have a good explanation.

I was just starting to relax, ready to tear into Damian the moment he walked through that door. But when he finally entered the mansion with Sissy by his side, one look at his face told me everything I needed to know.

Damn it.

They had done something.

And somehow... I already knew exactly what that something was.

They must have crossed the line that night while being drunk. And the worst part? I was involved too!

Shit.

I was the one who got that idiot Damian drunk. I was there when they started making out. And did I stop them? No. I just stood there like a damn fool and let it happen.

This was bad. Really bad.

I could already see it—Evander would find a way to drag me into this mess. He would blame me for not stopping them, for letting things go too far.

Screw that!

There was no way I was getting caught in this disaster. I needed to escape before anyone even thought of pointing fingers at me.

I was still lost in the whirlwind of my thoughts, trying to figure out my escape plan, when my eyes landed on Evander walking in—hand in hand with Claire!

Shit.

This was bad.

If Evander was personally stepping into this mess, it meant he cared. And if he cared, then Damian was doomed.

It wasn’t just about Damian being reckless—it was about who he had gotten involved with. Sissy wasn’t just some random woman; she was Claire’s friend. And if there was one thing I knew for sure, it was that Evander would never let a playboy like Damian mess around with someone close to his wife.

Damn it.

This was going to get ugly.

Think! Think, Caspian! Do something before you get dragged into this mess!

I was still racking my brain, glaring daggers at Damian for putting me in this situation, when Evander’s sharp voice snapped me out of it.

"Caspian, what are you doing here?" His piercing gaze settled on me, making it clear that he wasn’t in the mood for nonsense. "I don’t recall us having any prior appointment or anything of the sort."

Damn it.

I smirked forcibly, crossing my arms as if I wasn’t fazed. "So what? If I don’t have an appointment with you, does that mean I can’t even visit?" I shot back, feigning nonchalance.

Evander arched an eyebrow, clearly not buying it. Great. Just great.

"Fine, I will just tell you why I am here," I said, shooting a glare at Damian as I gritted my teeth. This was all because of him. But then again... I was equally involved, so I couldn’t even complain.

Evander crossed his arms, his expression unreadable. "Sure, go ahead." His gaze flickered between me and Damian before he added, "Let’s all sit and talk."

I stiffened. Oh, hell no.

"But... it’s something only you should know," I blurted out, hesitating as I searched for an excuse. "I mean... I don’t think you would want everyone to hear it."

What the hell was I saying? What nonsense was coming out of my mouth? What in the world was I even going to tell him? Just what?!

"It’s alright. I don’t think there is an outsider here. Am I right, Sissy?" Evander said as his gaze landed on her.

Sissy immediately straightened, waving her hands. "Of... Of course not! I swear I won’t leak a single word from this room," she promised, her voice almost too eager.

I took a deep breath. Whatever. Let’s just get this over with. I was not going to let myself get dragged into this mess any further.

"That’s great," Evander nodded with satisfaction. Then, he turned back to Damian, his tone turning serious. "And about what happened between you and Damian... I have come to a decision that—"

Nope. I couldn’t let him finish that sentence.

"I am the person you have been looking for!" I suddenly declared, my voice louder than I had intended.

Silence.

I clenched my fists, squeezing my eyes shut, bracing myself for whatever came next. What the hell did I just say?!

"Excuse me?" Evander’s face turned cold as I suddenly felt a shiver run down my spine. "Who did you just say you were?
