Chased By My Billionaire Ex-husband

Chapter 192: Caspian Was There!

Chapter 192: Caspian Was There!

Claire’s POV

Sissy opened her mouth to protest, but before she could finish, I grabbed her hand.

"You’re coming with us," I said firmly, dragging her along as we hurried after Damian and Evander.

"Damn it, Claire!" Sissy groaned, trying to pull away. "I’m a grown woman! And I’m older than you! How can you treat me like a child and try to discipline me?"

I stopped in my tracks, blinking at her. "What!?" My gaze ran over her from head to toe, disbelief washing over me. "Don’t tell me you not only hid your family from me but also lied about your age?"

Sissy’s eyes widened before she quickly covered her mouth. "Oops... Did I just slip that out?"

I stared at her, my jaw practically dropping.

Sissy had really hidden a lot from me. First her family, now this? I had a feeling that this was just the beginning of a wild rollercoaster ride.

The four of us sat in the car as an awkward silence settled between us. No one spoke a single word, and the tension only grew thicker with each passing second.

Evander’s grip on the steering wheel was tight, his knuckles turning white as he drove farther and farther away. At this point, it felt like he was taking Damian and Sissy to a safe place—to murder them.

I shifted uncomfortably in my seat. The silence was unbearable.

"Ahem!" I cleared my throat loudly, hoping to break the tension. My eyes flickered toward Damian and Sissy, expecting them to look at least a little worried.

But no.

Sissy sat there, staring out the window like she was admiring the view. Damian, on the other hand, was glued to his phone, tapping away as if he were just casually scrolling through social media.

I frowned at their relaxed demeanor. Was he really this relaxed?

But only later did I find out what he was up to!

He wasn’t just playing on his phone—he was desperately messaging Caspian, practically begging him to come to Evander’s mansion and save him from getting slayed by us.

Since no one replied to me, I let out a sigh and decided to keep my eyes on the road. Fine. If they didn’t want to talk, I’d just leave their fates in their own hands.

I mean... I knew Sissy had been drunk that night, but she wasn’t the type to sleep around. So what now?

What the hell was so special about Damian? Or... was she serious about this?

If she was, then fine—I was ready to support her.

But if this was just some reckless one-night stand?

I swear, I was going to beat the hell out of both of them.

Screech!!

I was still lost in my thoughts when the car suddenly came to a halt. My body jerked forward slightly, snapping me back to reality.

Before I could process anything, Evander had already stepped out without a word, his expression dark and unreadable.

I sighed and opened the door myself, stepping out into the cool night air. My eyes immediately went to the backseat, where the two culprits were still sitting comfortably.

Crossing my arms, I tapped my foot impatiently. They better get out and face their judgment... or else...

Or else... I didn’t even know myself what I would end up doing.

Evander and I stood there, waiting for them to come out of the car.

At last, Sissy emerged from the car first, her face was expressionless. Damian followed right behind her and he looked irritated on the contrary.

"Why am I being disciplined here? I am a grown man! What the hell do you want?!" Damian roared as frustration was clearly evident in his voice.

But the moment his eyes locked with Evander’s cold, piercing gaze, all his bravado vanished. His body stiffened, and without another word, he took a step back and silently walked into the mansion.

Sissy, on the other hand, didn’t say anything. She simply looked at me for a brief moment before following him inside.

I inhaled deeply as I was aware that this was going to be a long night.

"What do you plan to do with them?" I asked Evander, not wanting him to say something that he might regret in the future. After all, they were both adults.

"But weren’t you angry about what Damian did to your friend?" he asked in his usual calm but sharp tone.

His question caught me off guard.

"Wait..." I blinked at him. "You reacted so strongly because you thought I was affected?"

Evander gaze stayed locked onto mine as he opened his mouth "And? Why would I care about what two adults do after getting drunk?"

My jaw tightened slightly at his response. Seriously?

He thought I was mad, and that’s why he was ready to beat the hell out of them.

Phew!

Thank God I asked him first. Otherwise... who knows what he would have done?

I cleared my throat. "You see..." I began carefully, glancing at him. "There is no need to be so harsh. Just... give them a little scolding and let them be."

Evander took my hand in his as his expression remained unreadable, but I hoped he would listen and not cause any trouble for them, and as for those two... I had my own plans to deal with them.

Without saying a word, Evander took a step forward. I walked beside him, waiting for him to act—but hopefully not too harshly.

Just as I thought things were settling down, something unexpected happened.

Someone appeared out of nowhere, and what they revealed was even more shocking than anything we had imagined!

Yes, Caspian was there!
