Chapter 357: Blood Suckers
Chapter 357: Blood Suckers
Naledi and Ved stopped thinking about what had happened, they figured they won’t be able to remember.
If somebody can erase their memories then that person was certainly much stronger than either of them.
They spent an entire week inside that cave recuperating. The heart he sacrificed during that fight had also regenerated.
After a week he left, the moment he stepped out of the cave he saw a group of about three hundred people.
The weakest of them were around rank 3 and they were adorned in armour. They looked like soldiers of some empire.
The strongest was a man wearing a fancy looking armour while riding a rank 4 flaming horse.
He had cultivation at the peak of rank 5, behind him was a woman with cultivation at the early stage rank 5.
She too was riding a powerful looking rank 4 horse but one with wind attribute. These soldiers looked like they’ve been through battle.
They were escorting a carriage, using his soul sense he saw a terrified woman inside but her eyes were hollow.
The woman was pretty but to Ved, she might as well be a frog, he was sleeping with the most gorgeous woman in existence after all, at least according to him.
The moment they saw him they froze, to Ved they just looked like an easy snack, that battle had drained too much energy
So much that even he felt hungry and food just delivered itself to him. He took a step forward.

Alucard POV
General Alucard, the strongest member of the High Sea kingdom was tired, too tired, they had been running and fighting for years now.
His world had been invaded by a group of blood suckers, they looked like humans and could use vessels but they were different.
Even without their vessels they were incredibly strong. Alucard was the strongest expert in his world.
Behind him was the crown prince who sacrificed his life to buy them time but he barely managed to do that.
The crown prince was killed by a mere subordinate of that terrifying being. The moment he remembered that face his body shook with fear.
The 321 soldiers were the only ones remaining of the few thousand that had ran with him.
They had crossed two domains, most of his men died in the boundary between the domains.
The demonic beasts living in those regions were too strong but they had also grown stronger during this time.
His second in command and daughter had also broken through to projection realm becoming the second projection realm in their group.
Even so, his soldiers were exhausted, the princess who they had risked their lives protecting seemed to have lost all hope.
She barely spoke, barely ate or even left her carriage. Alucard led his people to a mountain range to rest.
Fortunately they found a cave pretty quickly, this region had very little ambient essence and didn’t seem to have any strong beasts.
Of at least that should’ve been the case but here they were standing Infront of what looked like a dragon.
Its power was so immense he couldn’t even sense it, what terrified him the most was how the dragon was looking at them.
It was the same dismissive look butchers gave to chickens before slaughtering them like their lives meant nothing.
Then the dragon took a step forward, " PROTECT THE PRINCESS!" He shouted and pulled out his sword.
As a member of an ancient family of Knight, he was very skilled with the sword plus it was his vessel.
His daughter took off and grabbed the carriage and was about to fly away when a heavy aura pressed on them.
Their bodies crashed on the ground and even he found it hard to breathe let alone move.
His weaker soldiers were laying flat on the ground, some even coughed up blood. His daughter did her best to protect the princess but she could barely protect herself.
Alucard knew they had zero chance of fighting against this thing but he was unwilling.
His will blazed high and with a loud roar he managed to stand up. The dragon looked impressed then turned its head away.
----------------------------------------------------------
Ved was genuinely impressed, even though he barely used his aura on them, the fact that somebody so weak could stand against him was impressive.
He watched the man with interest, his armour lit up with runes. A rank 5 earth grade artifact.
It increased the man’s power, a bust of essence spread out and shook the entire mountain range.
He might be weak to Ved but he was still a projection realm expert, his power could shake seas.
He lunged at Ved and raised his vessel above his head. Ved did not bother dodging, he wanted to test this man’s power.
He didn’t realise the arrogance of this but that was the natural result of him growing stronger.
The man’s sword blazed with flames, the temperature rose so high the mountains around started melting.
Fortunately he protected his soldiers or they would’ve burnt to ashes just for being so close to the flames.
Just as the sword was about to hit him, a gentle breeze blew out from the cave and the flames were snuffed out.
A layer of ice appeared over the man’s armour and he retreated a few hundred metres away.
His body shook with fear, Ved sighed, " You’re spoiling my fun." He complained and Naledi came out behind him.
She looked at the knight with a soft but terrifying smile. " I would appreciate if you don’t attack my husband, otherwise I’ll have to kill you."
Her voice came out cold with the last sentence causing the temperature around them to drop.
Yet the entire group of soldiers looked at her with wide mouths. They had never in their lives seen someone so beautiful.
Alucard immediately fell in love after seeing her, she was the first woman after his wife that he fell for.
Then he remembered she called the dragon her husband, knowing either of them could kill with a single wave of a hand he dismissed all thought about her.
The only thing on his mind was how to survive this.
Naledi looked at Ved, " And you, you don’t go around eating every human you see." Ved shrugged.
" Of course not, I’ll just eat these ones." Naledi sighed.
" No, you can’t eat these ones, besides hasn’t an alternative brought itself to you?"
She turned she looked to their left, Ved followed her gaze but his eyes held nothing but coldness.
" No, those ones smell rotten but I don’t mind killing them." Suddenly a group of people shrouded in dark cloaks flew out and took to the skies.
" Blood suckers." Naledi whispered with disgust.
