Beast Evolution System: Devourer of Heaven

Chapter 358: Birth Of the Strongest Army

Chapter 358: Birth Of the Strongest Army

A group of about 50 people in black robes floated in the sky and watched them. Leading them was a woman with a faceless mask.

" Witch of a hundred faces." Naledi’s voice came out cold and laced with a killing intent that shook the world itself.

The witch of a hundred faces giggled seductively and bowed dramatically.

" If it isn’t the queen and king, it’s my pleasure to see you again."

Ved growled, he didn’t care for this woman, her existence was worthless to him, the one he wanted was her master.

" Where’s your master little dog?" He asked with a booming voice.

The witch of a hundred faces didn’t mind the insult, she turned her eyes towards the army and waved her hand.

Then she looked at Ved and Naledi, " While it is nice seeing you, you seem to be in position of what belongs to us, could I ask for it back?"

She seemed to be talking about the army but upon further look, they realised she was looking at the carriage.

" Why would your master send you so far away after a little girl, what makes her so special?"

Naledi asked but it felt like she was talking to herself and not addressing the witch of a hundred faces.

" It doesn’t matter, if he wants her he’ll have to come find us, you can die now." Before anybody could react she casually waved her hand.

All of the vampires including the witch of a hundred faces turned into ice statues but the witch of a hundred faces immediately turned into purple mist and disappeared.

She was just a clone, both Naledi and Ved already knew that, what surprised them though was her cultivation.

She had reached the mid stage of rank 6, her cultivation was even faster than Naledi’s, she only reached this level because of the orb of eternal winter.

It seemed being a vampire had its perks and drawbacks as well. After all they died so easily because they are weakened under the sun.

After killing them she threw their corpses at Ved but he shook his head. Not only did they smell disgusting, he knew they wouldn’t benefit him.

They were part void creatures now, void creatures didn’t give him any evolution points unless he consumed their souls.

For these things, he would probably have to consume both body and soul since they were part void and part heaven beings.

Naledi stepped towards the group, they backed off and surrounded the carriage vigilantly.

" I don’t know why that red bastard want this little girl but I’m taking her, if he wants her then he’ll have to come to me."

Their leader frowned and was about to argue when she raised her hand to stop him. Her eyes turned cold and her smile disappeared.

Ved had rarely seen Naledi like this before but he noticed she was growing colder with each passing day.

He wondered if this will be a problem later, her consideration for human life was becoming less and less.

She took a step and appeared next to the carriage, she opened it and pulled out the princess who didn’t even struggle.

She appeared to be in her 20’s and both of them could tell that was her actual age unlike them who were over a hundred.

Their leader stood up and faced Naledi defiantly. " I swore an oath I cannot shirk from.

With my measly strength I know I cannot stop you from taking her but I ask that you take me with."

This caught both Naledi and Ved by surprise, " Don’t you want to be free of such a duty? You could live the rest of your life in peace." She asked with confusion.

The man shook his head, " Unless I know the princess is safe, I can never rest nor live in peace."

Both nodded, they admired this man’s loyalty, " Do as you wish." Naledi replied and ignored him after.

Ved stood next to her like a towering hill and waited. The man turned to address his soldiers.

He told them they were relieved of their duty, that they could live out the rest of their lives in this world.

Ved agreed, it was a weak domain and would be very safe for them with their strength but he thought that would be a waste.

He sent a voice transmission to Naledi and she smiled. ’ That’s a good idea.’ Naledi turned to address them.

" I have a better idea." They all turned towards her, " You want to help your princess right?" They nodded.

" But you can’t, because you’re weak, too weak to do anything, to change anything." They looked down with humiliation.

They knew what she said was right, they were too weak to do anything or change anything.

Naledi smiled like a villain, ’ Dear God, is this my fault?’ Ved wondered if he was the one who changed her so much.

" What if I give you a chance to grow stronger, to be more useful?" Her words drew their attention.

" However." She paused, the suspense made their heart shiver with anticipation.

" It will come at a cost, I can grant you the strength you desire, a strength above all others but you will have to repay your debt."

They all froze and waited for her to continue, it was hard to agree when they did not know what the price would be.

" We’ll talk tomorrow." She spent the entire night modifying a breathing technique, it was a special kind of breathing technique.

Unfortunately it was only a sky grade one but with the help of Ved’s blood and aura it rise to the peak of heaven grade.

Unfortunately until she comprehended laws she couldn’t create a legendary grade technique or any that had divinity.

Heaven grade was the most she could do, by the next morning she was done but both her and Ved had overdrawn their mental energies.

She took out a crystal orb with a picture of a black dragon that looked exactly like Ved on it.

" This is a breathing technique, it’s called the black dragon formation technique. It requires a group to cultivate.

The more members it has the stronger it will become, you’ll learn the rest from this orb." The group took it.

" Now you wonder what your price will be?" She asked and they perked their ears and waited for her to continue.

" You’ll know when we come to collect, all you need to do is grow stronger and wait for either me or my husband to call."

This made them nervous but they agreed after reading through the breathing technique.

It could allow all of them to form a heaven grade vessel, while individually those vessels had the power of an avarage heaven grade, together they could create something incredibly powerful.

With that done, Naledi climbed into Ved’s back with the princess but surprisingly their leader alongside his second in command still chose to follow them leaving the rest behind.

Ved had thought after Naledi gave them such a technique they would choose to stay but he was wrong.

He shrugged and took to the skies lesving the rest behind.
