Chapter 342: Gathering of experts
Chapter 342: Gathering of experts
They found an array master pretty quickly, fortunately the prince hadn’t had time to control things behind the scenes.
Otherwise based on what he had read in his past life and saw in this one, with just one word from the prince, nobody in this city or entire domain would be willing to help them.
What they wanted was something that has been done before. Ved infused his two traits into a cloak made of his web.
However he needed an array master to bind those two traits into the cloak making it usable to others at will using essence energy.
Without this, nobody would be able to use that cloak at all. It took the array master an entire day to complete the task.
During this time the two of them stood guard unmoving to make sure the prince’s goons don’t come and intimidate the array master.
The next day they took the cloak, Naledi wore it and it adjusted to her size. When she activated the abililties imbued into it.
Her body phased into the air and disappeared even from soul sense. While the cloak was not as powerful as his real traits it was still incredible.
Nobody below comprehension realm should be able to discover Naledi when it is activated.
In fact Ved doubted there were many at that realm who can discover her. The two of them left the city without anybody noticing.
After they left the prince’s men came to the array master only to find out they had left, the array master explained with fear.
Fortunately for him he was the strongest array master in the empire, he was a strategic resource they couldn’t touch.
So they left him be and went to report to the prince. In a fit of rage he released his aura destroying his room.
The poor women attending him blew up like blood balloons yet nobody dared say anything.
The prince waved his hand and a spear appeared in his hand, this was his vessel.
His men knew the prince was preparing to go to battle but that terrified them. They knew nothing about the enemy.
If something happened to him, they too alongside their entire families would lose their heads.
However they also understood there was no discouraging him to go or they would lose their heads still.
They wished his majesty would return at this moment to stop his son. Their wishes left unanswered.
The prince took almost all of the strongest experts in the empire. Including him the empire only had 34 manifestation realm experts and 3 comprehension realms.
His father, his ancestor and the duke of eternal thunder. The prince went to report to his ancestor.
Everybody understood the importance of a dragon, even a wyvern was an incredibly important asset with the potential to reach comprehension realm at the very least.
Let alone a true dragon, of course prince Arthur was not certain that was a true dragon but it was certainly a dragon type beast with a strong bloodline.
His ancestor readily agreed after hearing him out. They set out with only a few experts, In a fight against enemies of that level, numbers meant nothing.
Those brought along were manifestation realm experts and a few dozen projection realm.
Ved and Naledi flew away from the city and headed for the inheritance site. They could feel dozen of eyes on them.
They knew they were being followed but it did not matter, they flew faster until they reached the inheritance site.
However they found other people already waiting outside. They both frowned not expecting such a large number of experts.
Most were from the green skinned race that occupied this domain alongside the Kadaris Empire.
However there were also experts from the neighbouring domain. They saw the Shogun standing with his guards.
He nodded gently at them, there were also members of a four armed grey skinned race whose body appeared to be made of stone.
They were massive, standing at around 3 to 4 metres tall. Next to them stood another race they did not recognise.
This one had dark brown skin, their upper bodies looked like that of humans but their lower bodies were that of a scorpion.
They appeared to be allies to the grey skinned race though he could see some tension between them.
They were probably from the same domain and decided to work together here to survive against other domains.
The group from the empire appeared behind Ved and Naledi. They looked at Ved with killing intent.
Then turned their attention towards the spatial rift leading to the inheritance site, they temporarily forgot about him.
Ved and Naledi could feel more people arriving, most were at the projection realm, some at manifestion realm.
However there were also a few who were comprehension realm experts. The spatial rift continued expanding.
It sent waves of energy broadcasting itself across multiple neighbouring domains. They suspected it would be fully open by next week, enough time for even more people to arrive.
Everybody camped near the entrance while giving each other vigilant looks. Ved was uneasy but Naledi wanted to go in so all he could do was sigh.
Before nightfall everybody heard loud buzzing. They looked up and saw a black cloud flying towards them.
They grew vigilant, Ved looked through the cloud and saw a gigantic mosquito flying at the centre, the mosquito had a strange form, a mixture between insect and human.
The mosquito was surrounded by dozens of other large mosquitoes. This was a mosquito hive.
Some of the insectoid races were quite special, they had a queen mother, this Queen was the source and leader of the hive.
The hive was separated into caste, most had members called the children of the queen, they, like the queen were insectoids.
Then there were the drones, drones were demonic insects under the control of the queen and her children.
Of course there were insectoids who didn’t have hives. Hive insectoids were known to be individually weak but incredibly dangerous.
Given enough time the queen could create millions upon millions of drones, this one had a few thousand.
However each one was at rank 4 at minimum making it a dangerous opponent to fight.
The mosquito queen floated above them then transformed into a humanoid form. Ved had expected an ugly looking abomination.
Instead she turned into a fine looking woman with pitch black skin and red eyes, she turned a provocative smile at the Kadaris empire’s group.
Then she looked at Ved and licked her lips. Her daughter’s transformed as well and stood around her.
The drones were absorbed into their bodies and disappeared. Everybody sighed with relief.
Standing amidst so many bugs was unsettling. The mosquito queen and the other comprehension realm turned their heads.
Ved and Naledi also heard it before the others, the sound of trumpets. The two of them looked at each other and frowned.
