Chapter 341: Arrogant Young Master, is this fate
Chapter 341: Arrogant Young Master, is this fate
Ved and Naledi stood up, a few hundred metres Infront of them, a fixture appeared in space.
A wave of essence energy so pure it burnt his skin came out. Ved had adapted to essence energy.
Most no longer bothered him but this one seemed to have come from a higher lifeform.
They both knew what this was, " Spatial domain." They both whispered at the same time.
Spatial domains were separated into grotto heavens like Ved’s minor world and her minor world and cave dwellings.
Cave dwellings were purely for inheritance and usually came from weaker beings. The predecessors of the two of them were strong enough to create grotto heavens.
From the pure essence, they felt this might be another one. Ved frowned, he knew this would draw attention.
" Should we leave?" he asked but Naledi didn’t answer, he looked at her and saw her frowning.
" What’s wrong?" He asked, she shook her head.
" I don’t know but I feel like I know this place, or connected to it, perhaps it’s because of the high water laws inside."
She answered but he didn’t agree, if she felt a connection then there must be another reason.
He sighed, " We’re going in aren’t we?" He knew Naledi and knew she was definitely going in.
" You know me so well." She beamed him a smile and his heart softened.
" Okay but first we need to find an array master." Naledi nodded and they took off.
The capital city of the human empire of this domain was only a few hundred thousand kilometres from them.
It took them less than a hour to get there, he couldn’t get inside with his massive form so he transformed into his human form when he was a hundred kilometres away.
Unfortunately people had still seen his true form and he could hear them whisper as soon as they went inside the city.
He sighed, he knew this will bring his a lot of unwanted attention, as expected, a group of warriors blocked their path.
" Can we help you?" Naledi asked, this was a human city so they figured it was better she talked.
Besides, Ved admittedly had more volatile emotions than her and the stronger he grew the more apparent this became.
Even his fear of death was becoming less and less so, it was still there but it’s no longer suppressed his pride.
Plus his strength gave him a massive boost in confidence. He felt his claws itching to rip these insects apart.
The leader of their group stood forward, he was a mere projection realm, Ved and Naledi could crush him like a bug yet he dared block their path.
" Give us the dragon and we’ll let you go." He ordered in a threatening voice. Naledi frowned.
She was about to tell them off when somebody else came behind the group.
The man was dressed in fancy clothes and adorned in gems that cost more than most people’s yearly salaries.
" Forgive my subordinates my lady, they can be a bit crude." The man smiled flirtatious at her.
Ved felt something bubble inside him, the desire to rip this man to shreds blazed to the sky but he stopped himself.
Based on his attire and the entourage of guards following him, he was most likely a prince of this world or some high noble.
Neither he nor Naledi knew how strong the strongest experts here were, they just knew there were people at comprehension realm.
They had detected one when they first arrived in this domain. Even the two of them combined wouldn’t be able to defeat a comprehension realm.
Comprehending a law made a huge difference, until his martial intent becomes a martial dao or she learnt to control her Divine flames.
They wouldn’t even be able to harm a comprehension realm if they stood still and did nothing.
Unfortunately his martial intent had reached the peak of what he can achieve but the chasm to martial dao was too vast.
From what she told him, she lacked a will strong enough to fully control her Divine flames and until she comprehended a law, she said that was impossible.
" Would you care for a drink?" The man invited her angering Ved even more but he controlled his rising emotions.
Naledi looked at him coldly catching him off guard. He collected himself pretty quickly, Ved admired that composure.
However it also reaffirmed how dangerous this man was, he looked like the scheming type.
Ved knew conflict with him was not avoidable now whether they like it or not so they might as well offend his thoroughly.
" Then I’ll get to the point, I want you to sell me that dragon, you can name your price." He offered with a schrewd smile.
He was Arthur Kadaris, crown prince of the Kadaris empire, a man who had always gotten what he wanted.
He was sure it was going to be the same this time, everybody had a price and so did this beautiful woman.
On top of the dragon, he wanted her, the cold shoulder she gave him caught him off guard because woman had been fawning on him since he was a child.
Now at 1 250 years old, he was still not considered old but he should be married yet he was not.
That’s because he was yet to meet a woman who met his standards until now. He waited patiently for her to agree, he knew she would.
" Fine." The woman answered making him smile, this was how it always went no matter where he went.
Ved on the other hand grew worried, not because he thought Naledi would sell him that was impossible.
Because he knew she would do something incredibly foolish. He sent her a will transmission.
Naledi took a deep breath and calmed herself down. " I’ll name my price later, meet me here tomorrow, I have something to take care of."
This surprised the Prince’s guards, they were ready to take action as nobody defied him and lived.
To their surprise, the prince smiled and nodded. Ved and Naledi left him there with his guards.
His face changed and twisted with rage, he saw the disgust and killing intent in her eyes and that angered him to no end.
He wondered where she got the confidence to dare defy him, the crown prince of the great Kadaris empire.
" Follow them, I want to know their every move." He ordered and something disappeared from his shadow.
Ved on the other hand couldn’t stop sighing, ’Are great people always destined to meet arrogant young masters? Is this the fate of the magnificent such as I?
Why can’t others just be as humble and as kind as me?’ if Naledi could hear his thoughts she would’ve died laughing.
