Chapter 343: The Inheritance Opens
Chapter 343: The Inheritance Opens
The night turned bright and from the distance they saw a carriage being pulled by four pegasuses.
The carriage radiated an ethereal aura, inside the carriage sat two people, an old man and a young woman.
Both had a pair of white wings behind them, they were naturally from the Nephilim race, they sat together quietly.
Outside the carriage flew entourage of people from different races, some were small and others had huge bodies.
They were from the servant races of the Nephilim. The young woman was called Atareal.
She was from a mid tier clan from the Nephilim race, while her clan had a creation realm expert, they only had one.
Right now she was supposed to be travelling to a distant domain, a mining domain under the rule of her family.
They had sold that domain to a human empire close to it since managing it was inconvenient now.
She was travelling there to finalise the deal when she detected the powerful fluctuations of energy.
Her guardian, the man sitting across from her felt it even clearer, not just energy but laws as well.
He knew a powerful inheritance site had appeared nearby, perhaps one that might give him a chance to reach creation realm.
Or even better, give a clue on how to reach the saint realm, knowledge that has long disappeared in the universe.
As they drew close to the inheritance site they saw others were already there, both of them frowned.
The Nephilim were a proud race that looked down on others, a trait inherited from their ancestors the angels.
They appeared in a grand manner with trumpets blowing around them drawing the attention of the lower lifeforms.
Then they paused, Atareal had seen somebody she recognised, while she had never seen her.
There was a recording of her from those who had invaded the world called earth, her older brother was amongst those people.
From those who survived, she knew this woman was the one who killed her brother, she didn’t care about him, he was a talentless waste but this woman’s actions were an insult to her family name.
She transmitted what she knew to her guardian who turned his gaze towards the woman.
Then he saw somebody standing next to her, " You said she killed the young master while helping a young dragon?" The guardian asked.
Atareal nodded, " Yes why?" She asked with confusion. Her guardian frowned but did not answer.
Ved recognised the crest on the carriage, Naledi had been unconscious back then, only functioning on instincts.
But Ved clearly remembers that one of the Nephilim who ganged up on him was wearing that crest.
He could feel a threatening aura from inside that carriage then both of them felt a wave of killing intent.
Ved’s image almost materialised behind him then the killing intent disappeared, they looked at each other with worry.
’ Do you think we should still go in?’ he asked her through a voice transmission.
Naledi frowned, ’ I would honestly prefer you don’t but I have to, I know I have to.’
She responded and he sighed, if she was going in then so was he, there was no doubt there and she probably knew that too.
Time passed and more people arrived but none were as impressive as the Nephilim except the two creation realm.
They didn’t look like they belonged to any force and one was a human while the other was from a race with pale white skin and pure white eyes.
They looked like a couple, everybody tensed when they arrived, even Ved and Naledi knew they would have a zero chance of survival against these two.
And it appeared they had no intentions of sharing, the moment they appeared they released their auras.
The ground sank as a pressure as heavy as the world beared down on everybody. Even Ved with his powerful body was pressed to the ground.
Naledi’s divinity did her no good either, not even the comprehension realm experts were spared.
They roused their laws to resist to no avail, the difference was too huge. From comprehension realm and above the rankings change.
It was no longer simply early to peak stage, comprehension realm was divided into nine levels.
Each level represented a milestone in ones comprehension of their law and fighting across levels was incredibly hard but not impossible.
One with a higher grade bloodline could fight multiple levels above their own and then there was also species.
Races like dragons and phoenix could fight multiple levels even against those of the same grade.
Even so, there was a limit to it, the difference in power between grades was not as huge as those between cultivation ranks or even level.
Of course divinity makes a huge difference, the leap from heaven to legendary is incredibly vast.
As such, the comprehension realm experts were no different from ants to two creation realm experts floating above.
Everybody felt fear grip their hearts but Ved and Naledi were relaxed, his image did not come out meaning those two had no intentions to kill them.
Suddenly the pressure disappeared, the couple looked up with frowning faces then took to the skies and disappeared beyond the clouds.
The night progressed but the two of them did not return. Days went by and the day of the inheritance site opening drew nearer.
More and more people arrived, some left after realising they were too weak to compete but some stayed.
Ved and Naledi even saw people from the real Heavenly Dipper sect and Sword sect but they weren’t alone.
Their domain had another force, an empire governed by a creation realm ruler with enough power to rival the two sects.
" I thought comprehension realms were rare." Ved commented.
" They are." Answered a male voice, they both turned and saw the Shogun walking towards them with a smile.
" Gozaru." The gozaru came a few seconds later catching both of them off guard.
" What do you mean they’re are when I see them everywhere?" Naledi asked.
The shogun laughed, " Only one in a hundred billion could reach comprehension realm, however the population of the entire universe is vast, too vast.
My domain alone has more 70 billion citizens, naturally even if only one in a 100 billion can reach comprehension realm.
When the pool is so large, they would appear to be numerous."
His answer shed light to their confusion" Oh that makes se..." " Gozaru." Ved’s lips twitched.
’ Why wait to say that?’ the shogun’s samurai looked embarrassed by their leader’s quirk.
Before they continue their conversation a wave of essence energy washed through them making Ved feel like ants were walking all over him.
The spatial figure because a rectangular gate of blue energy standing over a hundred metres tall.
The inheritance site had opened.
" See you inside my good friends." The shogun shouted as he flew for the gate. " Gozaru." He shouted and flew through the gate.
His samurai followed after him one after another. The others went in as well, Ved and Naledi looked at each then flew inside.
