Apocalypse: Infinite Breaker Online

Chapter 75: Kohana

Chapter 75: Kohana

The door opened.

"Axir-kun?" Kohana blinked.

"I have some important news to share," Axir smiled.

"Come in."

Kohana turned around as she spoke.

Axir closed the door and followed her.

"First, let me make this house a bit better."

Axir’s figure blurred.

For one second, Kohana saw the house disappearing.

But then she found herself protected by a barrier as rapidly shifting light, flames, and things she couldn’t see began happening.

In five seconds, a brand new and fancy house was ready, with a living room, a bedroom, and a kitchen.

"Oh my..." Kohana was shocked.

Axir sat down on the couch before her and gestured to her while smiling. "Please sit."

Kohana looked behind and saw a sofa chair.

"How?"

Axir laughed. "I didn’t make the furniture, by the way. Just the house. I already had sofas and couches from the game."

Kohana sat down and smiled. "Thank you. With Jason not responding and his father gone, I was alone and didn’t want to build the house further, so I appreciate this."

"No problem," Axir waved his hand carelessly, his eyes briefly scanning her figure as he internally gulped. ’Sorry, but I really want to sleep with you. Not just because of revenge.’

Kohana had a slender yet well-defined figure, her posture relaxed but confident as she sat on the sofa.

The light kimono draped naturally over her body, subtly outlining her smooth waist and gentle curves without being revealing. Her shoulders were graceful, her movements fluid, and there was a quiet strength in the way she carried herself, giving her an attractive, mature elegance rather than anything overtly provocative.

"Axir-kun, before you tell me the news you brought here, I have a question," Kohana asked, her expression serious. "Were you invited by the gods?"

"I just saw someone in our settlement acquiring a boon from a god and disappearing, entering Takamagahara," Kohana bit her lips. "I have been praying ardently, but it seems the gods do not want prayers."

"Indeed, they don’t," Axir wryly smiled. "I have been invited by gods, yes. And it’s true they don’t choose people based on simple things. Definitely not if they just pray."

Kohana sighed and nodded. "I have to do something else. Help people in need? But everyone is doing their best, and I don’t have much ability. I didn’t focus on the game much as well, so I am not that strong."

"On top of that, I had a devil as my husband," Kohana clenched her fist. "It feels like I must find him and kill him myself first and foremost before I do anything else."

"Axir-kun, I don’t want to burden you, but is there a chance you can help me find him? And Jason, do you know what happened with him? You all are friends, right?"

Axir could tell a lot was going on in Kohana’s mind. On one hand, she had been praying and didn’t succeed. Then he showed her husband’s true colors. And now Jason was behaving like a dumbass thanks to him.

"About that..." Axir sighed. "Jason is the reason I am here."

Kohana was startled. "What happened?"

"How long have you known Selena and her family?" Axir asked.

"Fairly long. Why?" Kohana blinked.

"Did you know I confessed to Selena and we got together?"

"What?" Kohana was startled. "That..."

"Shocking, right?" Axir smiled. "Since in your eyes, Jason and Selena were close for long."

Kohana nodded.

Axir wryly smiled. "But it turns out Selena became my girlfriend because it was Jason and her plan to humiliate me later. But then the game arrived, and I became stronger fast."

"To rely on me and become stronger, Selena continued to pretend and that group of friends played along since they could become strong fast thanks to me."

"Oh my..." Kohana covered her mouth. She knew her son and the friend group were leveling fast thanks to Axir, but didn’t know about this whole drama.

"I usually don’t pry into young people’s business, hence I didn’t know. So, what are you going to do?" she asked.

"What can I do? It’s not like I would kill them, even though I can do that easily," Axir weakly chuckled.

"That..." Kohana wryly smiled. "I also can’t stop you from doing whatever you want. You are level 500 right now. No one is as strong as you."

Axir laughed. "Let’s just say that I can blow a mountain with a fist and can fly around the Earth in a few seconds purely using physical prowess."

"What?" Kohana’s eyes widened. "Really?"

"Yep," Axir nodded. "So when I learned about the betrayal, I was really going to kill Jason and Selena once they logged out."

Kohana flinched.

"But then I thought... I should be a bigger person," Axir sighed. "It was a prank for them. It wasn’t like Jason and Selena became followers of the devil like Jason’s father."

Kohana sighed. "True. If they deceive and harm innocents like Entond, I wouldn’t feel a grudge toward you even if you killed them. I would be sad, but... evil is evil. It must be punished."

"Yes... and then I found out," Axir’s voice slowed. "Jason talking to his father."

"What?!" Kohana stood up.

Axir’s face turned somber. "Jason... knew about his father’s deck. Lexi also knew. Yuta and Kazuo also knew."

Kohana’s lips trembled, her eyes surging with disbelief. "N-No way..."

"At the underground cavern you saw Entond in my memory, it was dug by Jason, Yuta, and Kazuo. And after Entond, they were about to ravage the girls," Axir sighed. "I found this out accidentally since I became very strong. Now I can see, hear, and feel everything within a 100-kilometer radius when I use a Mana technique."

Axir stood up and grabbed her hands, looking straight into her eyes.

"Tell me, Miss Kohana. What should I do?"

Kohana slumped back onto the chair, her mind blank.

Axir went behind her chair and grabbed her shoulders. "Miss Kohana. I never believed in gods, but I do believe in a good way of life. The gods in various texts and stories made by humans can give you insight into the way of life."

"That’s why I rejected all gods. I didn’t accept any boons to join a faction... because I wanted a faction of my own."

Axir appeared before her, his hands lightly pressing on her shoulders as he leaned closer.

Kohana looked at him, gaining clarity in her eyes as she saw Axir’s bright golden eyes.

"I chose the Void of Belief because I wanted to manifest a god of my ideals and beliefs. That’s why I want to make my own kingdom and forge a way of life in it for myself and for people who may join me."

Kohana’s mind shifted as she absorbed what Axir was saying.

"Someone like you, who can differentiate between evil and good even when it concerns family members, should join my kingdom."

Axir stretched his hand. "I will make you strong, give you power, and a position to help me lead and gather more people. Just a few hours in-game with me will be enough to make you strong. You can spend the rest of the time on Earth working and shaping the Kingdom when you don’t want to play."

’I can see her heart and mind are keen on the idea I presented to her,’ Axir thought.

"Me?" Kohana pointed at herself. "You are the strongest player... but you are inviting someone like me to build your kingdom?"

’He is level 500... and so strong. If he wanted to rule Earth, he could probably do it, right? If someone bad was as strong as him, we wouldn’t be in peace, but he wants to create a kingdom...’

Her eyes flickered. She liked the idea.

"Of course, you," Axir smiled. "I think you have a compelling presence, and once I make you strong, you can become a figure for others to follow in the Kingdom because you are righteous."

"And what do you mean, someone like me?" Axir snorted. "What’s wrong with you? Do you think you don’t deserve to be happy and strong? Or is that only for the devils?"

"That’s not it... but I see your point," Kohana ruefully smiled. "I suppose you will help me find Entond if I join you."

"Nonsense," Axir rolled his eyes. "I will not force you or put such a condition. Whether you join or not, I will find him. The only reason you would have to worry is if you sided with the devils."

Axir grinned. "If you do that, I’ll be there behind you with a knife. It’s alright. You can take your time and then decide."

"No," Kohana stood up as Axir stepped back.

She stretched her hand for a handshake, her expression serious. "I will join your kingdom. And I will not tolerate evil. My son... he died the moment he sided with the devils. The kind soul I gave birth to... is no more."

Clenching her fist, her eyes blazed. "For the sin I birthed, I will clean it myself. I will kill them both if you allow me and help me do it."

Axir smiled widely. "Wonderful. Then shall we go get you leveled up first and make you strong?"

"Right now?"

"Wait, I’ll be back in a second."

Axir vanished and appeared back.

"Now we can go."

[Axir: Aunt Kira, I am going to log in again, but I have placed a ring around Mio’s finger and an item next to the bed on which she is sleeping. Use the item on her when she wakes up.]

"Where were you when you last logged in? Do you remember?" Axir asked.

"I think it was a level 30 area called Ballonga Hills."

"Got it. Just stay there once you log in. I’ll pick you up in a couple of seconds."
